AS expected:- (Quiet) room allocation met our preferences:- Only one downside was that we had to go and hunt tea sachets as we were left with just ONE flavoured option

Fed up and do not plan to come back. Every time I have stayed here the hotel tries it on and tries to overcharge vs the booking reciept price. They play the jeopardy game where they know it is late and I need the room I have booked and so they show a different price and then say it is impossible to overule their computer system and impossible to contact Accor out of business hours and they need payment immediately. As such, I have to kick up a fuss and make sure everybody around hears what they are up to before staring to call Accor, at which point he miraculously changes the bill to the pre agreed booking price as per my booking confirmation. Aside from this, the hotel is convenient if you absolutely have to be in the North West Bradford area. The rooms are big, but unloved. It is not particularly clean and their is a lot of noise from the bar/reception area and from the corridor, where they have failed to notice the invention of soft close doors. Oh, and the shower either has cold water at normal pressure or hot water flowing at the rate of a water pistol.

We like staying at the Mercure Bradford Bankfield. The rooms are comfortable (though, for my taste, too much light pollution comes in around the curtains at night, from the many outside lights), the breakfast is tasty, and everyone seems to have a friendly smile for us.

Cold plates for hot food at breakfast; polite staff; rooms rather run down eg cracked sink, dripping tap; evening food not particularly appetizing (got the feeling it was microwaved); alternative eateries not quick walking distance; always had to ask for drinks voucher, not offered; had to remember to ask for VAT receipt; plenty of free parking.
