Staff were great and courteous and the location was very convenient for both the city and train station. The inside of the hotel looked tired in places and the carpets in the room need a refresh as there are stains in some places. Cleanliness overall was okay but could have been better. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel party because I thought this was expensive for what it was.

Really not a superior room!

My husband and I have just returned from a two day break. We were very disappointed with the 'superior'room (109) allocated to us. The carpet was worn and filthy with several cigarette marks in it! The brown themed room was also dark and uninviting. The website states free bottled water is supplied and we didn't have any. On the second night when towels were replaced we received just one bath and hand towel. Breakfast was ok but was not relaxing as three small children were running around in the buffet area unsupervised and couldn't reach the hot food from the bar properly so I helped them to plate it. They were not holding the implements provided properly to enable them to put anything on their plates either which was unhygienic. We won't be returning to this hotel.

The hotel is convenient for the train station and town centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. I have stayed here before and would be happy to return.
