Poorly prepared for lockdown

Room was cold , heating not working. Food was only available to eat in your room which I fully understand due to covid , but it was delivered to the room in a brown paper bag with all the contents on their side and in paper containers in side resulting in just a big mess inside. Unreasonably expensive for the qty & quality of the food. Breakfast was grab and go , what was described as a full English was a hash brown , a paper cup of beans and a rasher of bacon.

. Excellent hotel very welcoming. Receptionist could do enough for and nothing was a problem. Rooms were spacious and cleaned on a daily basics even though this horrible pandemic. Breakfast and evening meal was lovely .

During this pandemic, going to a hotel could be daunting but I felt very safe during my stay. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and went out of their way to get us a coffee and snack after the chef had gone off duty. The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable, I will be going back again.

Check in was pain-free, good staff team and clean surroundings. Comfortable bed and lovely shower. Small dinner menu but the food was tasty. I especially enjoyed the fish and chips.

I am staying here weekly for work at the moment. The check-in process is quick and Covid-19 safe. The hotel has a number of Covid-19 Infection control measures in place to keep guests safe. The rooms are clean but not serviced during your staff to protect the staff. The menu is good but limited due to Covid-19, I am hoping for some fresh vegetables when they next update the menu. Great location and the staff are very friendly, definitely recommend to people staying in the area on business.

Thank you to all the staff, the older Gentleman on reception, helpful as every, Breakfast much better, than last stay, both items to eat and helpfulness of staff, please get Television channels sorted out, 42 English channels, but Over 50% of channels when selected would say " No signal". Any chance of getting Bitter in the bar, The I.P.A. tastes like someone has put Charlie purfume in it

Very limited choice of food (paid for bed, breakfast and evening dinner). Dinner had to be eaten in the bar, although breakfast was served in the dining room. Would have been preferable the other way around. Pool was closed. Room was not as clean as it might have been - a number of dead insects, suggesting it had maybe been closed up for a while.

Waiting a while for my check in. Luckily Hollie jumped on to check me in which was massively helpful . First night food timing was ok... second night was awful . I arrived at the bar at 6:15 and left after my main meal at 9:15... also waiting for a desert that never arrived ... after an hour of waiting for my pudding I ended up cancelling it because of the hour wait to go back disappointed to my room. I will point out it was a Lemmon tart so it’s not difficult to put on a plate . I hope next time the service is better .

I stayed for 2 nights as I was attending a friends wedding. My stay was originally supposed to be in October but the wedding was brought forward 2 weeks. With only 2 days notice, I was able to move my booking with no fuss at all to accommodate the wedding. The hotel is great. The staff both behind the reception and the bar were very friendly. 100% would stay again.
