The initial contact was dreadful - we booked 2 rooms well in advance, & had one Mother sharing a room check in early - all we needed for that room was a second key. The process of questioning was not good & we end up with somebody dealing with us who created tension from the outset following what for us has been a 3hr plus journey. The lady was of East European origin & frankly let you team down as ALL other staff interaction was first class. The only other point would be bar service after normal hours which was poor & reduced the level of business the hotel could do - it was very slow, & often staff went missing. We were there for a wedding & the rest as they say was good but the welcome, a crucial point could easily have impacted the total experience
