hotel of choice when staying in Daventry, only issue this time was with room service as no plate was provided so eating out of takeaway packaging

Room not cleaned for 5 days!

Disappointing stay, room not cleaned during my 5 night stay, bedding not changed, bin overflowing, towel not changed, loo roll run out which i had to purchase myself, draught lager run out at the bar, i reported to reception the main light In my room was not working, i was assured it would be sorted but it was still not working on my departure.

In these unprecedented times it was nice to finally get away for a night. The hotel staff were all very friendly and the food was very good. Our room was comfortable, but I would say the bathroom could do with a freshen up.

The safety measures in place are great compared to other hotels i have stayed at recently. Clear signs, plenty of space and good measure like scanning codes for menus etc.

In these worrying times it was lovely to be looked after by your friendly and professional staff. Sara on reception was very cheerful and helpful with my booking as my daughter had broken her leg and needed extra attention. We had a drink and bar snack which was very safely served and tasty . The bedroom had a comfy bed good shower and very clean. Breakfast was very nice, lots of choice. The chef was friendly and helpful to us as my daughter had difficulty carrying her plate he took it over for her and we had lovely fresh toast and a tasty fry up. In the different times it is lovely to feel safe and see a cheerful face that cares about the customer. We'll done all a good staff is worth a fortune in business and can overcome any guests problems.

Stayed one night during our recent walking trip along the Grand Union Canal, the Hotel being ideally located for this being only 15 minutes off the route. It is in a quiet residential location about 3kms out from the centre of Daventry. Due to the COVID situation, there were many measures in place, but these were all well indicated and explained clearly at Reception during check-in. The Hotel is very clean and well appointed. Our room was very comfortable but the bathroom was looking a little "tired". At least we had a bath, an unusual occurance now-a-days, and after 30kms of walking in the rain all day, and with plenty of hot water, it was put to good use! Good service in the Bar with a restricted food menu. Bottled lager beer only due to COVID; a pity there was no bottled ale. Food was very good. Continental Breakfast was in the Restaurant was good with plenty of choice and a "hot butty" option

Good stay spoiled by unfortunate loss of money

We really enjoyed our time at the hotel. Food and facilities were good. However at the end our daughters reported that they had both had money go missing from their room (257), in total £40. I reported this by phone the next day and was told I would receive a response by email in 2 or 3 days. A week later I phoned again and was told that the cctv footage was being checked. Again I was promised an email telling me the outcome. It is 3 weeks now and still no email. This is poor customer service I am afraid.

The Accor reservation center was a nightmare telephone call dealing with an employee who was trying to do a good job but had a very poor grasp of E.. I had assumed I was speaking to reservations at the hotel and was not impressed with this initial interaction. Later dealings with the reservation manager at the actual hotel revealed what had happened and I found him to be professional and very helpful. The bedroom was much too hot, otherwise it was a nice clean room and bathroom. I would probably return if in the area.
