The hotel was cold all the time we stayed there, bar was shut until 3pm on the Saturday ,it was also understaffed ,our room was cold on arrival and stayed that way .i asked reception what was going on and answer was its someone else’s responsibility ? .

Really friendly staff Clean rooms but very old and could really do with an upgrade. Received discounted price due to conference, however I would not have been happy if this was a trip for pleasure. Disappointed only half of the facilities were open and especially as there were no gym or spa open.

The hotel rooms and beds are comfortable enough for a good nights sleep. The parking spaces available fantastic too. The hotel itself has seen better days and is looking well past its best.

It took 3 attempts to give is a room, we booked a twin for myself and son. First room was a double, second room we were given was ocupied when we went in. Third attempt we got a twim as booked. Evening meal was poor not very much to eat I had 3 sprouts 1 little piece of parsnip 4 little bits of roast potato and some chicken. It wasnt very hot. Morning breakfast was poor most things seemed to have been cooked a while and been on the hotplate for that time. Again wasnt very warm.

Attending an AGM and dinner, for which this hotel was ideal. Very friendly and helpful staff and comfortable well appointed rooms. Made us very welcome in spite of having brought along our dogs who loved their walks around the nearby Daventry reservoir.

Due to a conference of some sort, the bar was packed but the dining room was empty. No heating on in the dining room, had to queue to order food at the bar which arrived and was wrong. When I asked the waiter, he said, as he was walking away, that they must have run out of what I ordered. The rooms are tired and the bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. You can feel the bedsprings.

Appallingly difficult to book . I had 3 goes, my colleague 8 and one guy in the bar recounted his 17 attempts ! Sample conversation " Sorry, we cannot accept a booking . the only people who can do it are in a meeting / not here " REALLY. Lunchtime food and arrangements at the foyer bar not great

Arriving at 14:00 after a three and a half hour drive, to find that the room was not ready, the bar was not open and the hotel was cold and poorly lit- we were both distinctly dissatisfied from the start of our experience. To then have to endure a further three and a half hour wait with no indication of any compensation for our inconvenience only served to further compound our initial sense of disappointment. My wife is sight and hearing impaired, on her visit to the disabled toilet she discovered there was no lock on the door, rendering the facility obviously totally unusable. Absolutely unacceptable. The whole experience felt as if we were an inconvenience and far from the relaxed experience that you expect from a weekend break in a large hotel.

All was lovely for us.However staff shortages meant that some of the party were unable to check in for around 2 hours. The meal was lovely again staff shortages meant that it took a long time to serve everybody. However the staff were amazing and helpful and polite. We had a good weekend.

I remember this hotel well before it was a chain. The rooms are tired and not the cleanest. Heard many horror stories about other people in our party not having rooms, despite booking and also families not having connecting room despite specifically booking. I have stayed here twice this year for a wedding and an events evening and it wouldn’t be a hotel of choice. The bar took forever to get served, and come 11pm would only take cash which a lot of us didn’t have. Breakfast takes an age to get seated. Disappointing for the money when I stay in many hotels …

We arrived at 12.20pm (prior to attending a funeral in Northampton so wanted to freshen up) but was informed that our room was not ready but that wasn't the truth as it was obvious when we eventually checked in later that day that the room had NOT been occupied prior to our arrival on Wednesday 17 November 2021. Our room was located at the furthest end of the hotel and when we got there the door key failed to work as it had NOT been activated resulting in me having to walk all the way back to reception to obtain another one - NOT IMPRESSED !!! When we finally got into our room we found that the telephone socket was broken so there was no way of contacting reception other than walking all the way back from our room. We decided to have dinner at the bar as the restaurant does not open at night which frankly is farcical and unacceptable as we struggled to find a table for four people because were loads of men just sitting drinking themselves silly. We ordered our food at the bar and when it arrived at our table we had to request cutlery and condiments which should have arrived prior to the food. When this was brought over to us there was no vinegar so I went to the bar to request some and the barman went into the kitchen only to disappear for five minutes and during this time our food was getting cold. He eventually returned with a small dish of vinegar saying that the hotel had run out of sachets which again is NOT acceptable. The next morning we went down to breakfast and whilst there was a fairly good choice, what should have been hot was in fact cold - NOT GOOD !!! However more importantly what I find completely unacceptable is the fact that there were no glasses for the fruit juice or proper cups and saucers for tea and coffee but merely cardboard and plastic cups and that for a 4 STAR hotel is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Overall this hotel does NOT warrant a 4 STAR rating !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to book room was a nightmare, couldn't get through on the phone, emailed a few times to get a response. Had a presentation party on the 15th November, service was shocking, dinners all arrived at separate times, we had to tell the staff we were missing dinners, this should be all placed together. was told at 10:30pm cash only as hotel ran out of PDQ rolls....shocking. Hotel this standard should never run out. On all correspondence it says 24 hour bar, bar closed at 12:30. Lots of people then carried on drinking in rooms which made sleeping impossible. To top it off, received a parking fine of £65, even though details were entered of car at reception. (even though not one member of staff told anyone that this needs to be done).

We were told we needed to have a joining rooms for me and my partner with our 2 boys as there were no family rooms available. On check in we were given 2 rooms, 3 doors apart, no ideal with an 11 and 4 year old. In the end we were given another bed in our room, so we ended up paying for 2 rooms unnecessarily! There were no other complaints

Turned up after driving for nearly 2hrs only to be told I'm not in the system so showed my reservation number even sent the confirmation to the front desk so they could look at it properly after an hr of faffing about they simply said your not in our system and we have no rooms . I wasn't the only one this happened to about 5 to 10 people had the same issue so I asked for a refund only to be told the Accor team were not in until Monday so I emailed there and then on Saturday the13th and still heard nothing luckily as there was an event that I was attending going on I managed to use someone's room to have a shower and get changed but definitely won't be going back.
