All staff were pleasant and extremely helpful on arrival. Ordering and collection of food was very quick and again staff were lovely. Bed was extremely comfortable so I will be looking forward to staying again!

Hotel is very clean and all social distancing measure present and encouraged, reception staff are very welcoming and took the time to see how I was. Room 228 was clean, tidy and well presented. I did have issues with the TV not working and a few fly's in the room but after speaking with reception staff I was offered a change of room but I had already unpacked my items and set up my work station. Food was good, fairly pricey for what it was but taste good and satisfied my appetite. All in all if I am back in the area for work, I would happily stay there again. Best Regards,

I think not having the rooms cleaned regularly is having a detrimental effect on the hotel as the rooms are becoming dirty. Dust can be a problem as it attracts mites !!!!!!

Had a team of employees staying at the Mecure, Daventry for the past 4 months. The whole team at the hotel have been outstanding! Very professional, always polite and nothing is ever to much trouble even during these testing times. Can't thank the Hotel team enough for making us feel welcome and ensuring our stay was made safe and comfortable.

Great stay - Welcome to Daventry

Thank you for making our first night in Daventry so pleasant. We were midst moving and completing in our house purchase the following day. The gentleman (we think Ollie) checked a very tired couple in with a warm welcome. We were concerned about some of the reviews we read about the hotel but our room was very pleasant - a lovely surprise. The following morning we ordered breakfast which was takeaway but extremely tasty and everything there. Unfortunately I could not remember names of morning staff except Holly and everyone l spoke to were so helpful. Whilst we were waiting for our completion phonecall (which is quite stressful) the hotel allowed us remain in the room. Thank you once again Mercure for our first taste of Daventry. A lovely memory.

Nice hotel and facilities (although most closed at present due to COVID so not used on this occasion) tv remote did not work and tv was broken (kept turning off) also disappointed with lack of choice of channels

Changed stay from 3 nights to 2 nights as the tier for the area hotel was in was going to change. Enjoyable stay, did not have breakfasts on this occasion. Room quite satisfactory and staff helpful.

Much needed night away for R&R as husband and wife rather than Daddy & Mummy. Large hotel, nice foyer area. Check in was smooth, we were on our way to our room in a few minutes. We had a Privilege Room that was clean, quiet and comfortable. We booked on a B&B basis and added dinner. When we arrived we were told we had to have dinner and breakfast in our room though, which we didn't expect given that the hotel is in a Tier 2 COVID zone so could be served socially distanced in the restaurant area. We were disappointed with this, it should have been clearer on the website and we would have chosen to eat elsewhere. We had pre paid for our dinner, a 2 course menu choice, which we saved around £20 rather than order at the hotel. The food was average, we had starters and mains. Chips were nice but the burgers we had were rather dry and not that great. The cost of 2 cans of fizzy juice and £5 delivery charge to our room, was also daylight robbery. We went for a walk to the local shopping area afterwards and found a chip shop and a Pub which we could have had a nicer dinner from. Following morning, breakfast was below average. Pre packed food, dry bread with no option to toast, full English in a box but it lacked key ingredients (egg, tomato, black pudding) and the sausages were not nice at all. Lastly, the parking charge...£10 for 1 night in a dirty car park with rubbish every where. Not impressed with that at all. Should be free for people staying over night and for goodness sake send someone out to pick up all the rubbish. In summary, the room was nice, we had a comfortable sleep with no disturbances but the food was terrible and we wouldn't eat there again.

The welcome and staff were very friendly, the room was very warm tho and stuffy, the bed was really hard and difficult to get comfy and we missed our last breakfast due to poor information and the QR code not being updated so the hotel restaurant closed 30min earlier than what we expected so missed our previous paid for breakfast.

Our booking company (CWT) made a mistake in the booking, an issue the very friendly staff at reception was able to solve immediately while offering us complimentary dinner as a compensation - much appreciated commercial gesture. The whole staff at the hotel was very polite and nice and the service excellent overall. The restaurant food was very good too. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only downside - the temperature. It was really cold in the room as well as in the common areas.
