We chose this hotel on the edge of Harlow partly for convenience and partly due to fond memories from long ago. The old Saxon Inn hasn't changed much and the hotel buildings and rooms are a little dated. But the staff were outstanding! Dipti on the front desk was very thoughtful and kind; Faruq made us feel very welcome and well fed at breakfast; and the chef stayed late to prepare dinner for us. The trip went so well, and we are grateful to them and their colleagues for making it such a happy return.

Friendly reception team. Heating out of service in room. Offered small portable radiator. Room windows drafty. Bathroom - ? black mould in places, chipped flooring. No pillow protectors.

Room dark only lamps, standalone heater, bed hard and uncomfortable, breakfast of low quality but all staff very good, overall whole hotel needs an upgrade and not happy about paying £10 per day to park, will not use again
