We headed down to do a spot of xmas shopping and got a great deal on Groupon to stay here. Lovely staff very friendly Clean rooms Quite and peaceful Free parking and WiFi all you need and very close to shopping centre to do your last bit of Xmas shop And the food was very good Would stay again for sure.

We booked this hotel for our Christmas Do and we were all excited. We attended Friday 6th Dec 2025. What a bitter disappointment, The meal was supposed to be served at 7:30. It was served an hour later, but not to everyone on our table, some meals were cold, there was not enough cutlery I had to reuse my starter cutlery for my main meal . We didn’t finish our dinner till 10pm! I wouldn’t bother ever going back!

Pre- stay.. Booking was easy and as expected. However, I wanted to change my booking on line to EXTEND my stay. I could not get into the web portal and decided to call in order to make sure I could extend. That was a pointless exercise.. twice, I was on hold once for 20 minutes, the other for 27 minutes on Friday 29th November. There is no point having a phone number if you're not going to answer. I finally sent an email to you to request an extension on my stay with you. This was sent on the 29th November and I received a response day later.. On the Saturday. I do not work Saturdays. More to the point, Why bother with a telephone, as I said, when you don't answer it? The check-in on the day was fine - except there is no mention of a parking charge. I was only made aware of this once I'd checked in. I have a blue disabled badge which exempts me from charges, but this sort of information should be made clear at the time of booking. I take a dim view of this sort of subtle charging, even though I was exempt. Evening.. The room was fine. Breakfast. - With the exception of a really run down greasy spoon, this was really a poor effort to provide a breakfast to your visitors. I am sad to have to report this sort of thing, but the choice was, let's say, limited. and non existent. Now the positives. The reception team in the evening of 2nd December and the morning of the 3rd December were really nice. At the very least they were the saving grace from this hotel receiving a 1 star. My commendations to them. Sorry, but this was a terrible experience and one which I am sure you will read, but not post. I have therefore taken the liberty of sending this to Gemma Aves who is at the front office reception. Sorry, but this was a terrible experience and one which I am sure you will read, but not post. In many respects I feel for the reception team to have to deal with some irate customers continually and I feel that they will need your support to improve the whole experience in order for the general public to have any confidence in booking accommodation with you.

omg went tonight for christmas party night , shocking waiting staff. nice but service from kitchen terrible. , we thought we was at faulty towers , a couple of dinners served then half hour wait for two more then the same again. , evrything came in bit by bit , no drink service at table ,i ordered veggie meal to be told hadnt got any , no knives and folks on table then ordered sweet to be told hadnt got what we ordered. no i would not recommend or ever go back

Doilikeit Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

Attended as a group for dinner and entertainment. Dinner was due at 1pm I got my starter about 3.20pm others on the table had theirs before. Our choices were all mixed up as we had to choose prior to going. We got meals as and when and not at the same time. Others in the group sent theirs back because they were cold. Mine which was the last to arrive was infact hot and very nice. No condiments on the table, coffee if we wanted it was a walk away to another room then join the queue for the coffee machine. The saving grace was Ant and Dave a singing duo who had to start late because of the dinner shambles. We were told chief chef called in sick then other chef was having a melt down and threatening to walk out. They manager didn't come in for the day. Total bunch of amateurs.
