The hotel was clean and the free breakfast was very enjoyable. I arrived early evening so I had a meal in the bar along with a small lager. When I asked for a ‘large gin and tonic’ I was so embarrassed that I was refused this drink. I was advised by the staff member. “I am not allowed to serve you a double gin and tonic “. How embarrassing!!

See above re comments. I also was pretty shocked to be charged £10 to park my car - I’ve no idea how most paying guests would get to the hotel other than by car due to its location. For the amount I paid, I was not impressed by the experience at all and will not be returning. Hotel needs some basic maintenance as well as updating facilities

Asked for a room near reception due to breathing difficulties and ended up 132 which was down 2 corridors. Electronic key failed and resulted in unnecessary trips to reception leaving me gasping. When I checked my bill they had charged £272 instead of £202. Otherwise ok stay
