I had a hotel booked in Princes Street for 4-days-time but needed to arrive in Edinburgh early from Rome, due to a last-minute change of plans but was unable to get into that Hotel, so I jumped onto the Accor Hotel website (am a member) and chose the this one. It was a great move! I used to live in Edinburgh so wanted to be right in the City centre. I arrived flustered and in distress due to a bit of a situation. The Manager was really terrific and compassionate, he made me feel safe and better (which for me is a bit unusual, actually!) he was so fantastic and I send him so many thanks! I wish we’d swapped details as I’d love to show him and his partner around my home town if he’s ever here! The room was compact, beautifully clean, as was the entire property, modern, groovy and a brilliant location for the tram from the Airport, Buses and the Train. The room had an excellent bathroom and the biggest TV I have ever seen! The room did not have a safe (which I really want in any hotel!) or not a mini fridge which are my only criticisms about the room; I am Coeliac (GF) and Dairy free (Milk Allergy) too and this makes eating out and even on-site anywhere really difficult because I often have to rely on gathering meals from local supermarkets – but without a fridge to store food in well, that makes cost effective dinners pretty hard! I’d also recommend making a note on the Website about the current scaffolding covering the hotel entrance as it made it a bit difficult to find. The entire team were accommodating, kind and caring and I was a bit sad leaving for the other hotel to be honest! Special thanks to the incredible Jzanette, I hope I am spelling your name correctly? - Thank you for being so caring and patient and always ready to jump in and help, no matter the role you were assigned that day, I am only sad that was not able to sample one of your cakes! I hope the Nougat was as good as it looked and you scoffed the lot yourself!  Once again, many thanks to your divine Hotel Manager, I do hope we meet again  Sandie, Melbourne, Australia.

We arrived in the evening Check in by Tatiana and Usman was smooth and quick. Aiden took us up to our room and showed us how to work the lifts, and where things were in our room. The room had a balcony that overlooked St Andrews Square. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel very contemporary and trendy. Reece and Jamie were on the bar and both gave tips on places to visit and see. In the morning Zoltan and Gosia were very helpful in keeping us right. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was continental with a fabulous choice. Bed very comfortable. Very clean hotel. There are some steps up to the hotel. Edinburgh is a great city to visit and this hotel couldn’t be in a better location!

A bit difficult to see the hotel due to the ongoing scaffolding work. But checked in by friendly and efficient reception staff. Room just a wee bit too small - but it was for one night only so not a major issue. Excellent continental buffet breakfast.
