The hotel made the effort to ensure the two booked rooms were interconnecting as requested, which was much appreciated. The hotel was located to nearby city centre. The car park was also nearby. Reception staff were very helpful, as were the breakfast room staff. The only minor issues which did not affect our overall experience and so not reflected in our score were that one room was not ready upon check-in and took over an hour before it was ready. The other issue was that one room had an open packet of ginger biscuits which expired three months prior to our stay.

Disappointing. Room not as booked and poor features.

1) Booked twin rooms but given doubles. Too tired to wait for this to be sorted at 2300. 2) Bed too far away from bedside shelf. 3) No desk in room. 4) No mirror other than in bathroom - need one close to a power point for hairdryer. 5) "Sink" design bizarre! Just running water, no plug. 6) How do you fill the kettle or a water bottle? Impossible to get kettle under tap. 7) TV not working in one of the 2 rooms. Room design is style over substance - might look nice but not practical.

Cleaners kept coming into my room while I was sleeping and almost naked

Cleaners kept coming into the room. I stayed 2 nights. The first day they cleaner woman came in by 9am while I was still sleeping and kept arguing with me that I was meant to check out. When she found out her mistake she apologised . If you thought that was the end you were wrong, she came the next day also by 10am ( for a 12pm checkout) and opened the door again. Good hotel in terms of location and facilities, poor staffs. If the hotel doesn’t address this issue they will loose customers. Apparently I wasn’t the first to have this sort of expertise and that is quite sad.

Excellent service and the only draw back was the pressure in shower was less then it should be, this was my second time stay and room I had booked was executive and similar issue when it came to water pressure is shower. Rest over all amazing place to stay.

Nice hotel however could not sleep all night as there was works going on and the noise from the generator didn’t help. The power went off between 2am -4am (although they had posted signs near lifts) did not help as the room got stuffy. Overall a lovely hotel in a perfect location and great staff.

Great new looking hotel. Very modern and well fitted. However rooms did not have bathrobes or amenities and when asked we were told they no longer offer them. The next evening when asked to another staff memeber we were provided them. Not happy being lied to.

Positives : Great location, good modern rooms, pleasant staff, nice restaurant. Negatives : Room service breakfast order was not collected, hence no breakfast delivered. Coffee capsules not refreshed during stay. Difficult to find safe car drop off area.

We had a really nice time at Novotel Leicester. The room was to an expected standard for a new 4-star hotel, though noisy banging from maintenance both mornings, including at 7am, was unwelcome. The bar and restuarant area is sleek and modern, with a good range of drinks, and a nice food menu- the locally sourced pie was top-notch! We were looked after really well by who I think was the head barman, forgot to ask his name but he was really knowledgable about local food and drinks and very friendly. checkout experience was poor, however. I was not asked about our stay at all. Then when I made a query about a Novotel promotion double points on the app when you dine in bar or restaurant ,the staff only knew nothing about it, havent heard about it ,even when I showed in the app just so I dont look like I just made up a promo. PS, I know its pandemic and all but I miss the lil touch of reading remarks or booking notes and being personable by asking upon Checkin atleast how are you or how was the trip did you come far something like that but yeah covid pandemic hits everything
