Overall stay was as expected from an Idis Styles. Somehat disappointed with the breakfast offering. Never had over-cooked scampbled eggs before and refusal to make fried eggs. Claimed it was due to no extraction system, but were able to make suasages and bacon??

I will start off by giving, what might sound like an extremely weird compliment. This was the best bathroom sink that I have ever experienced in all my travels across different continents, countries, and cities. The depth didn't result in a splash on myself either from the running tap or when I was doing my daily ablutions. The distance between self and the bowl was such that no puddles of water formed around the sink or on the bathroom floor. The sink and tap were well aligned so no finger yoga had to be done to ensure hands got wet and not the surrounding surface.I loved it! The room was soundproof, the bed comfortable and clean, the cafe on the first floor with round the clock hot and cold drinking water and a selection of teas and coffees was more than what I expected, and the breakfast was so varied and fresh that a picky eater like me was satisfied. They also gave a "wee" bag when I came in with an Irn Bru and a Tannocks marshmallow style chocolate. I wanted to try these two Scottish offerings but wasn't so sure of purchasing in case I dont like them. Thanks to this hotel, I tried both, didnt like them, saved money, and was able to make an informed choice. Another weird compliment but true. I travelled solo and felt completely safe. I travelled across Scotland for 10 days and stayed in a bunch of places. This was my favourite in terms of the comfort I got for the money I paid.
