Check-in was very slow, two of our three rooms were not ready until after 3:30 pm (check-in was 3pm), one couple which waited as long as us were given upgrades - not sure if this is standard policy. Otherwise, the room was clean though a bit dated.

Very central location, friendly and helpful staff. 600 m to nearest tube station, about a km to Big Ben. Very nice breakfast buffet.

Hotel is in a great spot..but there are a few issues! Service charge is not on all the menus and certainly is not discretionary! Food is average and not worth the price, extremely small portions: kids size portions for adults. The lasagne (which appears not to be homemade) is tiny and comes with a small piece of dried garlic bread. The room is adequate but the carpet is stained and filthy. Under the sofa bed was filthy and not cleaned.

Well located, but overpriced, doubtful higiene

The hotel is very well located, but for the amount of money charged per night the rooms are a bit underwhelming. We were a bit disappointed too with the higiene, when we got initially to the room there were hairs on the bed and on the pillow. You had dinner once at the hotel, and we got warm beer and lackluster meals, that also added to the feeling that we could have gone with another option other than Novotel London Waterloo.

Good hotel, limited food options for vegans

Stay here often and it's a good hotel but the vegan choices in the restaurant/bar are limited to one main item. There are also items marked as vegan which are very obviously not. Just a couple of extra choices would be good, not asking for a complete vegan-friendly menu :-)
