Positives - close to river bank Very clean tidy Underground parking but £24 separate Breakfast was delicious and great service by the waitress once we sat down Room was good size and clean An extra cot was provided The toilet and the bathroom were separate inside the room which is great Overall a good comfortable visit Negatives - I had to insist to the receptionist guy I had paid for breakfast . Without checking he said I haven’t paid for breakfast . It made me embarrassed that I had to tell him like 5 times I have paid for breakfast this was just when I had entered to drop In luggage an hour before, was almost thinking to ask for a refund and leave Steam room wasn’t working No telephone line for reception Have to save up a number and call from your phone I called for reception in morning but no one answered and than had to wait for them to check my Watsapp message For breakfast had to wait for 15 minutes I’m queue to sit It was a disaster All the tables were dirty - had literally no staff to serve the number of guests - No one came to check us upon if we needed anything once we came and settled In the room Expensive parking - should be cheaper for guests

Lovely stay. Room was very very basic and quite tatty and looked quite old. Water was pouring out of the top of the shower rather than the shower head making that quite annoying. Lady on reception early in the morning was half asleep and quite rude when I asked for directions to the nearest shop so I could buy some water and other essentials. We stayed in an executive room but I would not call it that. As a club Accor member I would probably choose another hotel for my next stay.

The accommodation is very good and clean, crisp sheets etc. Great value for money. The service was polite and efficient. My only constructive criticism is that the continental breakfast was a bit disappointing. The pastries didn’t seem fresh. There was no water in the room or with breakfast, albeit the tap water was fine.

We arrived far too early to check in but were able to leave our bags and go sightseeing. When we arrived back in the evening our room was ready even though we’d been told it would be an hour later. We would have been happy to sit in the bar and wait.

I rate the Novotel highly & have stayed in a number of different locations. Much of this hotel was excellent; the staff, the look & feel, the location. However the room aircon unit was noisy, & worse, filthy. And had been for some time. Once reported the dirt was dealt with promptly, but it remained too occasionally noisy to use at night. I must say, my unease with this issue marred my stay.

Booked a trip for myself and my girlfriend for 4 nights at the Novotel Waterloo. Very clean, super location and great rooms. We had a superior room and this had ample room and facilities there in. The tv was particularly good for both it’s size and connectivity features. The hotel was no more than 25 minutes walking from Trafalgar square and was the perfect location for our city break. Would stay again.

We stayed one night in order to see "The Upstart Crow" at The Gielgud Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue. Despite the "London Waterloo" tag, the hotel is actually in Lambeth Road opposite Lambeth Palace, about a mile from Waterloo station. The nearest tube station is Lambeth North, about a 12 minute walk away. Two bus routes pass the door, the 3 (Whitehall - Crystal Palace) and 344 (Clapham Junction - Elephant & Castle). Sadly the 3 has been recently cut back from Oxford Circus to Whitehall, thereby severing the direct link with London's theatreland. However, Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament are about a 12 minute walk away, so the location is good for tourists. We checked in on line which worked well, being met by a very pleasant girl who quickly gave us our room keys. We had been upgraded to an executive room, which was large, clean and well presented. There was plenty of storage and a room safe. The bed was, however, very firm and my wife, who has scoliosis (curvature of the spine) had difficulty in getting comfortable. Overnight it was quiet with little traffic noise. The other problem was the absence of a dressing table - the only work surface where you could sit did not have a mirror above it. There was a good sized bathroom with a two-headed shower attachment, and separate toilet. Wi-fi was available but we did not use it on this occasion. On the afternoon we arrived we had a meal in the bar area (the restaurant being closed) but this was the same menu with quite a good choice. The food was tasty and well presented, and not overpriced. |The following morning we had breakfast in the restaurant. This was totally self service, but with a good choice of hot and cold food. We did feel however that the hot food could have been a bit hotter. Checkout was as efficient as check in, again with a very pleasant member of staff We would recommend this hotel, but feel it would be better described as "London Lambeth" rather than "London Waterloo".

We were given a disable room which was very disappointing (we are not disable people)....and the room was just okay size around maximum 15 square metre, not what it says on the description.............and the shower water was not warm enough...
