We Booked hotel as an Accor member to use pool and spa on a work trip. Phoned to ask what time it closed was told 9pm then on arrival at 817pm was not allowed in as last entry is at 815pm. The TV was broken in the room

Sad & tired bedroom, but good location

I stayed Saturday & Sunday nights in room 799. There were unsightly stains on the carpet, so I didn’t walk around barefoot, the armchair cover was split in a couple of places so I didn’t sit in it, the double glazed window was externally dirty & “blown”, so I couldn’t quite see the lovely view of Rivington Pike. Plus that was a small curly hair under the shaving point, which was not mine, and which remained there the whole of my stay! One of the two coffee mugs was badly chipped on the rim, so I did not use it! One of the wardrobe doors was very stiff, and the room safe was locked and unusable. But I didn’t need it, so I didn’t report it. But the hotel was very close to Blackrod, where I was visiting friends, and attending an event. Good value stay, in a good location.

Room was great and we stayed for 2 nights. (Fri 29th & Sat 30th April). There was a big wedding party there on both nights and we couldn’t get near the bar and restaurant to order food. On the Sat night, the Wedding Party took over the bar and reception area in addition to the private room they had been allocated. We were charged a very high price for the Sat night when it should have been heavily discounted.

We arrived quite late. The staff were very accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was a bit short on the vegan options (no vegan sausages and no soy milk for my wife) but the staff again were helpful and pleasant and did not charge for her meal. We had a good feeling from the staff but the rooms felt a bit tired for a Mercure hotel even a 3 star.

Stayed here a few times now, often stay here when Man United are at home on a night match as I’m a season ticket holder, rooms are always lovely and clean, hotel nice and quiet, staff always friendly and polite, and the buffet style breakfast is always great, will certainly be staying here again in the future.

Found booking procedures hard work no choice given Told rooms just allocated on day and you cannot just speak to the main desk at that PARTICULAR location Window would not open in room which with Covid is not Satisfactory did mention to Receptionist but said it was a new window Breakfast buffet was awful Bacon as hard as iron Beans looked all dried up Eggs were like rubber Looked like the food was on display for hours !! Asked for a coffee Bar assistant spilt it all at the machine then passed it over to me and started to wipe all round the cup with a cloth Not impressed.... TV no signal ..... Room was clean Reception staff polite

Very clean. Excellent variety at breakfast . Great helpful staff. Ruined by the fact that you didn't get what you expected with the meals at lunchtime. There was a description of a Vegan bowl which bore no resemblance to what was described on the menu.

The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. The lunch on the Sunday I was there was a disaster as it took ages. It was just a salad and the only thing that was on the menu which it contained were leaves. I complained and was given a 50% discount, but believe I shouldn't have been charged at all as it made me late for my conference and I couldn't finish my meal.

We were staying due to our wedding being held in Bolton, so 2 nights, the night previous and the night of. The suite we had was good, it was clean and well prepared, a small lounge area and the bedroom. The bed was comfy, the bathroom really clean, ironing facilities provided so that was plus. What made our stay was the staff, they couldn't do enough for us, from the cleaners, bar, reception, the mangers, all of them were brilliant. Helpful, courteous, personable and chatty. They really made the stay excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.

Stayed here for the first time in a good few years. Bedrooms are a little dated but still acceptable but probably due a refurb before too long - No electric sockets near the bed in my room was probably the biggest pain point but not a major issue. Ate in the bar and food choices, quality and prices were good. Best feature of the hotel are the staff - Rarely have I encountered such friendly, helpful and attentive staff in all areas of a hotel. Made me feel very welcome and valued as a customer

Room dated but clean and comfortable. Artic ceiling old fashioned. No fridge in room. Nice view in room. Staff reasonably friendly. Despite booking for and mentioning in check in, still no cot in bedroom. Phone not answered by reception therefore had to go down to reception again to request cot. Pool changing room dirty and smelly. Mud and water all over flood &smell of sewage/nappies. Lots of broken lockers, dirty baby changing mats. Pool overcrowded with non hotel guests. No sign to say pool floats were available to use. Parking spaces small- difficult to get baby things and luggage out of car without driving out of parking space. No allocated parent and child parking. Dangerous turning right on road coming out of hotel- suggest contact council for a safer junction. Breakfast staff friendly and efficient but had to ask 6 times for different items- no bacon, no sausage, no eggs, no tomatoes, no watermelon, no orange juice, orange press not in use, coffee machine drip tray needed replacing etc. Okay experience for price but wouldn’t recommend to a friend/family.

Friendly check in Smelly room Comfortable bed Terrible bathroom Ok breakfast, although scrambled eggs looked unappealing and fried eggs were over cooked. Bacon, sausages and hash browns were nice. Premier inn is much better value.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in a family room over half term. Room was a good size, hotel had great facilities such as swimming pool etc. Breakfast was included in our rate and couldn't fault it. Staff in the bar on both nights could not have been more accommodating especially when my 2 kids just wanted cereal rather than something off the menu. Without hesitation it was sorted. The only thing stopping us giving it 10 was we were in Room 550 and every time we boiled the kettle, the lights went out and we had to use the fuse box to turn back on. An annoyance when we used the kettle to warm our babies bottle so did use it quite often. Would visit again. Handy location for visiting Trafford Centre.

Not A Bad Hotel

Well presented hotel with good onsite facilities. Food good but expensive for what it is and so is the bar. Breakfast has a great selection but the black pudding on all three mornings was rock solid so either used from the day before (hopefully not) or under the heat lamps for WAY TOO long. Worst part about the hotel is the walls are paper thin and can here everything in the next room especially the inconsiderate making a conference call at 12.30am. Stayed here twice and both time the sleep quality was very poor as the windows let so much noise in from the main road whether your room in next to the main road or further back in the complex. Personally prefer on of the mid range budget hotels down the road as more comfortable and far less noisy. Not a bad hotel overall but after long days at work a good nights rest is important and I cannot get that here.

Friendly and accommodating staff but the hotel badly needs a refresh. The beds are lumpy, the decor is from the early 1980s and the bathroom is a weird flesh colour.

The staff are good.the facilities in the pool changing rooms were filthy. There is several years of grime in each shower cubicle. There are no seats in the grounds at all ( unbelievable). We have stayed several times but this one was the last.
