Repurposed as a hotel in 1966, the Grade II listed building was originally a doctor's surgery called Hilton House. While no longer the case, guests are still treated to the finest care. The University of Bolton Stadium, home to the Bolton Wanderers is just 1.5 miles away.

The room, bathroom, shower was excellent, the bed was especially comfortable. The breakfast hall is one of the best that I've experienced. Bessie the manager is very friendly and very professional. I thought the layout, food, drinks was fantastic. I will 100% be staying again in the future.

The room was in need of refurbishment. The idea of having to have breakfast in a lounge off of a coffee table is simply ludicrous, There is plenty of room on the upper floor of the restaurant for those with a dog to enjoy breakfast and not to have the indignity of sitting in the outer lounge. I accept that some will not want a dog in the restaurant but the upper floor is well away from the main seating area. Other wise nice staff and friendly.

My stay was brief as I was attending an event. The hotel was comfy. I had an adapted room which was good. Staff were very helpful. Only negative comment is that the hotel would benefit from some refurb as some of it looked rather tired.
