Staff were great and friendly Bar staff one young lady was very professional and showed interest, care and was friendly. Makes a big difference after a long drive. one guy came in very late when food was clearly finished but as he’d booked she rustled something up quickly for him. Place was clean , position quite away from town but perfect for a pitstop for us . Well done to the young lady

Dirty bathroom, pubes everywhere. Didn't dare use the shower. Concrete walls dark and dingy, felt like i was being watched because of all the holes in the wall. Air conditioning unit very very noisy. Fan in bathroom Didn't turn off, so when air conditioning turned off, the bathroom fan provided an equal amount of noise to enhance the nighttime experience more!!

Welcome was very efficient. Really easy to get in and up to room with online check in. Our room had a really clicky air com unit and window couldn’t open so we had to lie in the heat and the milk (near tea and coffee) had gone off which was disappointing but bed was comfy, shower was large and easy to use. You do quite easily get disturbed by other guests as there was a fair bit of noise so a one night stay is fine but for longer, you may struggle.

Good food pleasant rooms but we had a room at the back of the hotel and next to a duel carriage way. Very noisy all night so no sleep, really needs triple glazing. Odd number rooms are at the front and are less noisy.

I was greeted at the front desk on arrival in the early hours by two lovely ladies. Check in was quick and efficient. Nothing seemed too much trouble and they searched to find and loan me a phone charger which I was most grateful for. The room was comfortable and quirky. Great toiletries and a fabulous hot shower. Couldn’t have asked for more!

A comfortable, modern, well-designed hotel. The restaurant food was good without being memorable, and staff were all friendly and professional. A little surprised that car parking in this non-central location was chargeable, but pleased to see that EV chargers were available.

I had booked through hotels.com and had got a good b&b deal. It hadn't been made clear, though, that there would be a parking charge of £9. I was pleased that the receptionist reduced this to £6 which was a helpful gesture - apparently Ibis do not own or run the car park. The room and twin beds (made into a superking) were comfy. Having a socket by the mirror was useful; there was a lovely large shower cubicle. Good breakfast overall, though poor selection in cereals (eg no weetabix) and spreads (eg no marmite). Very nice scrambled egg (once I'd added s&p). No fried eggs as standard but when my husband asked for these they were made to order. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed here on a last minute booking and were happy with the results…. We arrived at the hotel to be welcomed by the reception team and within a few minutes given keys and on way to room. After a quick wash and cleanup from a long day driving we went the the restaurant to be greeted by a really pleasant fella (I cannot remember his name sorry). We ask if we could upgrade the food we have booked and told not a problem. The waiter was laughing and joking with us about the food choices I went for the steak and the Mrs went for the belly pork. This food was really good To cap this off the staff were welcoming, rooms were clean and tidy and overall a pleasant stay

I have a shoulder injury and the pillow just made sleeping very uncomfortable. The following day for our onward journey was incredibly painful, resulting in me having to take strong painkillers.

I am very sorry to hear about the discomfort you experienced due to the pillows, particularly given your existing shoulder injury. I appreciate how frustrating this must have been, especially as the discomfort continued into your onward journey the following day. Our pillows, like other aspects of our bedding, are required to meet the specific ibis brand standards and specifications. Unfortunately, we are therefore limited in the range and type of pillows that we are able to provide as standard. I am sorry that on this occasion they were not suitable for your individual comfort needs. I am, however, very pleased to see that the other aspects of your stay were much more positive. You scored your accommodation and cleanliness 90/100, describing the room as "spotless", our team 90/100, check-out 100/100 and value for money 80/100. You also indicated that you would recommend the hotel with a score of 8/10. Taking these positive scores and comments into consideration, I was disappointed to see an overall score of just 5/10. While I completely appreciate that the discomfort caused by the pillow had a significant impact on your night's sleep, the overall score does not appear to reflect the many other areas of your stay that you rated so highly. Nevertheless, I appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback, and I will ensure that your positive comments regarding the cleanliness of the hotel and our team are shared with them.
