This is my second stay here as it's convenient for a dog competition nearby over 2 days. We were impressed by the cleanliness. The friendliness of the staff we met on reception and in the restaurant was exceptional. Our dogs were spoiled rotten! The room is simple, but super clean, and the beds are comfortable. Thank you and see you again next year!

Hotel and room were comfortable, aircon in room was fab! The big disappointment for me was the restaurant, food both at dinner and breakfast was shocking! I should have listened to other reviews but chose the hotel due to its location. Next time I will stay somewhere else. No wonder it was so quiet.

This is our second stay at the Ibis Bridgwater. It's a modern hotel, great staff and reception spaces. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice. Clean and comfortable rooms and cheap EV charging on site. Great location for exploring Somerset and Devon!

Pleasant enough hotel, but the £9 parking charge left a bitter taste, especially as on the website, all I could see mentioned in the facilities was 'parking' and no mention of it being £9.

I have no particular objection to polished concrete but the finish in our room was not particularly good with a very untidy finish where the ceiling and walls met. I was particularly unhappy with the lack of management of the restaurant at breakfast. The two young ladies on duty were pleasant enough when spoken to but they lacked direction in terms of checking the state of the room and customer satisfaction. Tables were cleared but the cleaning of them was poor with a quick spray and wipe without bothering to move the condiments, simply wiping around them. One of the ladies gave a cursory wipe of a seat using the same cloth and no attention seemed to be paid to the food counters. There were also a number of spillages around the table bases which were not wiped. I don't blame the young ladies - they lacked the direction and the training that should have been provided by a manager. The location of the hotel was convenient for us and we may use it again, but we'll steer clear of the restaurant. A disappointing experience compared to that we've had at Ibis hotels in France.

I turned up having never stayed in an Ibis hotel before and i dont know if id want to again. The staff on reception a bit rude when i asked why i had to pay £20 to park as a wheelchair user in a blue badge bay, the rooms were basic but the decir was grim, it just looked like the walls had never been cleaned. I paid for half board and this option was a cery limited part of a hugely inflated priced menu. Of the options, there wad a pizza, there was some pasta or curry options and the only things that tempted me was fish n chips, but for a supposed ‘£20’ dish the fish was so thinly sliced that i think my shoe liker was thicker. I think from a normal expected size of fish Ibis probably ibis sliced that into about 5 servings a few microns thick. The batter was thicker than the fish! The breakfast was very basic and for an accor group that usually we have a very good experience of, i dont know if id return. Im a wheelchair user and the accessible bedroom just screamed thst no basic thought went into decorating at all. Also usually horels try and make sure a room is in a quiet area but there was lots of coming and going over night, clicking noises all night that sounded like someone trying a keycard im our door, i i didnt slerp at all well. The first night we took our neal in our room but no communication on having the plates taken away again so they got left. I wouldn’t recommend to friends

Room stunk of waste pipes, empty plates left in the corridors. Someone entered our room at 8am. Spoke to reception and they said it was the cleaners but then our card has to be reset so they clearly gave our room key out to someone.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am very sorry to read about your experience and completely understand why you have scored your stay so poorly. I am particularly concerned by your comments regarding someone entering your room at approximately 8am. I appreciate how unsettling this must have been. While our team advised that this may have been a member of housekeeping, I do not want to speculate about what happened or suggest that another room key was issued without first establishing the facts. The fact that your key subsequently needed to be reset does not necessarily mean that another key had been issued; however, your concerns are being taken seriously and the circumstances surrounding the room entry will be reviewed. I am also disappointed to hear about the smell from the waste pipes, plates being left in the corridors and the cleanliness you experienced on the fourth floor. This is not the standard we expect. Your comments regarding breakfast are equally concerning, particularly the lack of clearing and food being left spilled around the area, and I will be addressing this with the relevant teams. Please accept my sincere apologies for the number of issues you experienced. There were clearly several areas where we fell below the standards you should reasonably expect from us, and I appreciate you bringing these matters to my attention so that they can be investigated and addressed.
