Unhappy T. Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

Stay wasn't so good. Took receptionist ages to find my booking. Never apologisesld. Wasnt friendly and welcoming. Didnt tell us how breakfast worked times or anything. Didnt point us in the direction we had to go. Or say enjoy your stay. Good point bed was comfy. But room was very dusty. Nail cuttings in the bin. No tea bag. Went back to reception for some but couldn't find anyone. So went without. Curtain pole was broken and Curtains wouldnt stay shut. lights were very hit and miss on working. Had a nightmare locking the door. Breakfast was a good selection. However both days the fresh fruit wasn't so nice. Didn't seem fresh. And the hot food (or should i say warm) looked like it had been in hot hold to within an inch of its life. Then comes check out day. We was in our room sorting our things after breakfast about 9am. And they came to clean service the room as saying "thought" it was empty. We didn't have to check out till 12. Then never even got spoke to when we did go to leave. Safe to say we won't be returning

Good location with a great restaurant, very good bathroom and comfortable bed. However totally let down by the terrible room decoration. Plain concrete walls with what looks like damp running from the ceiling makes it seem like a Supermax prison cell. There is a poster on the wall saying that the walls were designed to look like undecorated concrete. We found the room totally depressing and would definitely not stay again.

I’m pleased that you enjoyed the restaurant and had a comfortable nights sleep, however it came as a disappointment to me that you were not fully satisfied with the décor of the bedroom. Please be advised that we are the first ibis in the UK to boast the new plaza design bedrooms by Accor throughout the hotel. These come with a feature wall made of pre-fabricated concrete. The design is of a modern industrial look and the impurities on the walls are part of this design. Please be advised that the walls are clean, safe, fit for purpose and part of the charm of our fantastic new hotel. I hope you do choose to book with again in the future. Arrived to the hotel and was put into a disability twin room when I booked a double room. Was then moved to a disability double room after complaining. Got into the room and the bin was full of rubbish, blood spots on the bed sheets and Faeces Staines on one of the towels. Went down to complain and no one was at the desk so I stripped the sheet off the bed to sleep and hung the door hanger to say clean my room. I went out with the day with my partner and came back and the room had not been clean while we were out. We were out the room for 10 hours +. I wouldn’t mind but my partner is pregnant and the hygiene levels were awfully poor, will be putting a complaint into (consumer reports.org)

I have stayed at the Ibis Hotel Bridgwater several times & the experience just seems to get better. The staff are very attentive & helpful, the rooms are very comfortable & the quality of food in the restaurant goes way beyond that of a standard Ibis.
