Genuinely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in - dirty, run down, unkept, awful food and genuine discomfort, bathroom was so poor I chose not to shower. Would not recommend for any event or traveller under any circumstances. Cannot believe this is a mecure hotel

Was a nice stay,went with a coach trip..room was nice, although we did find a empty pizza box and a food bag in our room.(room 163) food was nice, breakfast very good. Would recommend the barman be given some lessons in people skills tho.didnt seem interested in serving, when he did didn't come across very pleasant,

Room was boiling hot, asked for a fan 4 times eventually got one 11.45 at night. Iron in room but no ironing board, asked 4 times for one to iron wedding outfit and never got one. Bar staff barely speak English. Radiators were on in hallway and it was a boiling hot day. Windows are filthy. Beds are clean and bathroom was clean. Furniture a bit dated and wear and tear. Not many sockets and no sockets by bed. Building snd grounds look lovely but needs refurbishing inside. Paid £76 for twin room. Buffet breakfast was ok but not much choice.

Welcome to fawlty towers reincarnated. The rooms are in an appalling state, filthy and mouldy. Incredibly dated. Questionable stains on the curtains. Food was mediocre at best, reheated burgers and a non existent breakfast buffet with the ever so appetising ‘grey’ scrambled eggs.

Unsatisfied with the rooms asked for adjoining rooms as I have medical needs and need help at times so had to be near my wife , she was put in a room down the corridor from me , when asked about this at reception they could not help said all rooms were occupied . We felt as we had requested the adjoining rooms on booking they could have accommodated us and we felt we had booked early . The rooms decor looks tired and needs a facelift to the paint work , and the floor we were on had an awful odour to rooms furnishings and passageways .
