On arrival our check in was handled quickly and efficiently. However, things went downhill from here. The hotel is a maze of corridors on different levels and buildings. When we found the room we discovered that the family room for 4 people that we had booked only had 3 beds. I went back to reception where the seemed confused and I had to show them the booking on the app which showed 4 people were staying. It seemed that all the family rooms had been given out already. I then had to wait for 30 minutes for the manager who was taking payments from a group of 20 people who had just attended a retirement party there. They then had to go through the computer to check virtually every room to see if there was something suitable. Another colleague had to join in the hunt for room/s that would be suitable. Eventually a solution was found but it resulted in us being late for a party that we’d driven 5.5 hours to attend. The first night was good but the second was interrupted by noisy young people in the corrodor trying to get into the room opposite ours (260 & 262). I had to go out and tell them to be quiet on two occasions. Much of the hotel looked very tired and the layout was confusing with little signage in the old section. The breakfast was ok but the cooked food wasn’t refilled very often so a lot of the options were missing. We came away very disappointed.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the issues you encountered with your room allocation. Having to return to reception, wait for assistance, and then experience delays—especially after a long journey and with plans to attend a party—is understandably frustrating. This is not the level of organisation or service we aim to provide. I’m also very sorry for the disturbance you experienced on your second night. Guests should always feel comfortable and able to rest, and it’s disappointing to hear that this was not the case. Your comments regarding the hotel layout, signage, and the condition of some areas have been noted, as well as your feedback about breakfast availability. These are all areas we are actively working to improve. Please be assured that your experience has been shared with the relevant teams so we can address these issues and prevent them from happening again. We truly value your feedback and are sorry that your stay left you feeling disappointed. We do hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide you with a much better experience.

The room was spotless, it was very quiet at all times, the bed was comfy, the staff amazing, the breakfast was great for the money, plenty of parking. Cant fault the place for the price and will stay again

House keeping entered my room on 2 separate occasions even though i had the do not disturb sign on the outside of the door. They knocked and still proceeded to enter. Not acceptable.

Telephone in room out of order (for awhile). Had to chase for new batteries for remote.Restaurant that never was. Shortness of food menu to order. Areas dusty throughout hotel. Breakfast was good.
