Great hotel, Improvements required

Upon checking in, I had to request moving rooms 3 times due to the vast amounts of mould in the bathrooms and room window frames. The problem was consistent in all the rooms I have visited. I eventually settled for a room that wasn't as bad as the previous ones I had been to. This wasn't particularly great after arriving at the hotel after a 160 mile drive and looking for some rest. Nonetheless, the hotel staff worked tirelessly to help find a better room and offered me a free breakfast to make up for the experience, a big thank you to them for their help. I would strongly recommend some maintenance and deep cleans as problems like these will only get worse and really don't make up for the standard Mercure (and Accor) hotels are looking to offer. Other than this, great hotel and a very resting night as the remaining hotel facilities were good. Beautifully located just outside of Bradford, this gorgeous hotel offers excellent value for money for families, couples or business travellers like myself.

We had a lovely stay , but unfortunately there was hair all over the tiles in the bathroom which was very disappointing

The staff at the Mercure Bradford Bankfield are all terrific--friendly, professional, understanding. The rooms are rather old, with furniture that is worn, but the bed is comfortable. The location for me was perfect. It's very good value for money, and I'd stay there again.

The staff very kindly put me in a room near the lift and with a walk in shower due to my mobility issues. They were very helpful too when I pressed a wrong button in the bathroom. Good choice of breakfast items.

Reasonably priced hotel with great staff. I stay in this hotel a few times a year and always find the staff incredibly helpful. Peter on reception is always pleasant and goes out of his way to make conversation and be generally welcoming. How he hasn't made it to Employee of the Month escapes me to be honest. The hotel itself is very nice but as with a lot of these properties could do with a makeover and an injection of cash to get it to be something special. The public areas are always clean and tidy and the general feel of the hotel is a comfortable one. The rooms are adequately furnished and clean. Again, could do with some renovation but nothing drastic. All in all it is a nice hotel, great value for money, lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. I'll continue to frequent this hotel.
