Mixed experience Two beds joined together not comfortable Location is great very professional staff

First of all, booking and then extending my stay was quick and easy and I aprreciate that. Also, the price was great. Another great thing worth mentioning - good sound isolation! Even though I could see all the traffic about to cross the Thames on Dartford bridge and they were very close, there was no traffic sound in the room. Double windows did their job perfectly! Now the bad bits. 1) I did draw the curtains and discovered them being quite dirty. They definitely need a wash or replacing. 2) Water didn't drain well in the bathroom sink and that also needs to be looked at. Who wants to see water level raising in their sink? For the price though I'm OK with not looking at the curtains and being patient with the drainage. Thank you ibis West Thurrock.

Staff were all good and the food was enjoyable. That said, the bread rolls at breakfast were rock solid, clearly several days old. The first 2 rooms allocated to us in the extension build stank of bad drains. Indeed, the whole of the downstairs corridor had a bad drains smell. The third room allocated to us on the second floor of the main building was much better and the drain smell was tolerable.
