Used this hotel for overnight before a cruise from Tilbury london only a 15 minutes drive away. Hotel located close to lakeside shopping. Also easy access to London via trains. Rooms small but adequate, bathrooms clean and modern.

I have booked for 2 nights, the reception service was good. How ever the room was ver bad condition. Bed was very old not good at all. Blanket was not clean old as well smell in the room and so many flys in the room. No door handles in the bathroom. Fully dusted place. They can check the room regularly if they gonna give to a customer next time plz. Or they may have other nice rooms in other floors they could offer to me. We are not staying for free to accommodate to cheep quality mattress and blankets.

Car Park Scam - Avoid

Tried to book on the night, unavailable. No big deal, spent 20minutes at reception/in the car park. Couple weeks later, £60 fine in the post for using the car park. Informed hotel, they didn't care. Said it's nothing to do with them. Furious with their attitude and the audacity to charge someone for simply stopping in their car park.

Dear Lawrence, I am really sorry for your experience. The parking enforcement is covered by an outside company and operates independently from the hotel, therefore we have no control over their operations. There are numerous signs at the car park that advises driver of the parking restrictions. If you do not agree with the parking charge notice, you have an opportunity to appeal the PCN and you can find that information on the notice itself. On top of this, if your appeal is unsuccessful, the PCN issuing company are obligated by law to offer drivers the option to refer the PCN for an Independent Assessment/Arbitration at POPLA (operated by the Ombudsman Service). Details of how to do this are sent to drivers whenever appeal is not successful. You can find out more about this service at www.popla.org.uk . Once again, please accept my sincerest apologies for the disappointment caused

Put on 4th floor during 2 night stay. Wife has long covid. Lifts stopped working. So stuck in room as cannot do so many stairs. Cockroaches in room, awful. Plug socket by bed not working. Main light also stopped working. Very unhappy.
