Good value- everything worked but use of room key card was intermittently not working which was frustrating!

Shocking sleep experience

Extremely disappointing as second stay after a disturbed night on our first one bringing me to tears on both occasion. Second one was promised air conditioning had been serviced and it was worse than first time. Approx 3-4 hours sleep. Pillows like bricks and very thin walls. Would never stay here again and would never recommend to anyone else. Breakfast good but no customer service follow through from first bad experience. It’s a Mercure let down. Needs investment in air con and better customer service

Room smelt of mould

+ Comfortable, large bed + useful hairdryer, iron, luggage rack etc. + Check in and out was smooth. + Near a large selection of restaurants within walking distance - room smelt of damp, particularly prominent in main bedroom so can be smelt when leaving the bathroom after a shower and when first walking in. - black mould on scatter pillow - no ventilation, windows cannot be opened and shower fan is broken in bathroom - the bedroom has no main light, this means you have to turn off lots of lamps every time you leave the room
