The room was very warm as an electric heater was provided - heating not working in the breakfast area. We had complimentary breakfast - be aware, it is very over priced if you’re paying. Room very clean and comfortable bed.

Went to celebrate mine and my husbands 10th wedding anniversary. Told the hotel about this and when we got to our room they had upgraded our room and decorated it romantically. Lovely staff in reception and the restaurant. Would come back again

Good room but poor vegan options

Annoying not to be able to book over the phone, reception staff were not very knowledgeable but pleasant. Despite saying I was vegan there were no vegan options for milk alternatives in the room. No food available at night from the hotel, not even water. At breakfast there was no vegan spread - a lazy oversight. The breakfast options were OK but the warm things were very cold. Staff at breakfast were really polite and helpful. The staff across the board seem great but there need to be better vegan options.

The fire alarm went off for approximately 3 second at 1:30 AM, this obviously woke us up with a fright. Staff did not know this had happened in the morning. Shower was blocked so could not be used as didn’t drain. (Room 256) Lovely rooms and great friendly staff though.

We stayed one night as in Nottingham. Staff friendly. The bar is very rarely staffed, and was the same on this visit. We managed to get one drink but once we had finished it the staff were off elsewhere. There was a large pink stain on the carpet by the side of the bed.

Greeted by lovely receptionist on Tuesday eve arrival I’ve stayed before when the bar was being renovated and know that the staff are good so I know this hotel so thought I’d upgrade and stay in a suite. The SUITE what a waste if my money! Poorly plastered walls in Room, bathroom door dirty and full of marks, grout around sink poorly finished, shower control not fitted properly making it difficult to turn - it was cross threaded.. Rawl plug in wall unfinished - just sticking out Main bedroom itself nice and clean- lounge sofa drab- needed a clean Controls for heating/ air con - dirty and yellow

We stayed at your hotel for originally 2 night's we arrived on the 17th December we came to see some family who live so close to the hotel. We enjoyed our stay so much that we asked if we could stay for another night. The staff are very friendly and welcoming we asked if the family could have breakfast with us on the Saturday morning and the staff were very obliging. We have stayed at your hotel before a few times and we have always enjoyed our stay with you we the rooms are very good and the breakfast is very good.

Fantastic Weekend Away

We had booked as part of my husband's birthday celebrations. We arrived and were greeted by friendly staff. Unfortunately the room we were allocated had an issue with heating. We let reception know and they were incredibly helpful and apologetic. A new room was found instantly, with Ali checking that all was OK before we moved our belongings in there. The room was an ample size, clean and with complimentary robes and toiletries. To apologise for the issue with our original room we were given complimentary drinks. Staff in the bar area were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and again the staff were very attentive. We stayed for 2 nights and would definitely stay again.

Nice amenities however wish they were available for longer hours, specifically in relation to spa area. Staff were friendly especially house keeping and lady at reception can’t remember her name but black hair/Greek lady. Would definitely stay again if I was in town.

The hotel was lovely but we were woken at 3.30am by very loud guests in the corridor shouting at each other

The experiences was good when we arrived but unfortunately we could not stay as my son was taken extremely ill. The receptionist did say he would speak to the reservation team as we had only just arrived but we never heard anything.

We arrived and the room that we were given smelt very strongly of cigarettes (ashtray) we both felt that it would make staying in the room uncomfortable so asked to have a different room. We then discovered that the new room we had been given was occupied so went back to the desk to ask for yet another room. We had booked a privilege room but there were no more available which meant having a regular room. I had no issue with this and hopefully we should be receiving the difference in price very soon. The third room we were given had no issue apart from being very small, crowded and dark. When I had a shower the shower tray started to overflow as it wasn't draining quickly enough. Whatever coating was on the wall tiles was peeling off and there was no plug in the sink. It all felt very dreary. The breakfast wasn't great. Despite all of this we found that the staff we were dealing with were very good at sorting us out. I just felt that for the price I paid for the night £180 (ish) the quality of everything was not up to the price. I would not stay here again. I hope that we get the refund for the difference in price very soon as I don't want the hassle of having to fight for this on top of everything else.

This was not as one would expect for a 4 star hotel. The restaurant was diabolically slow, it took between half to one hour between meals before you got your next course and there were very few guests in the dining room, so it should have been a lot quicker, the brussels were hard even after we complained they were still hard the following day. There was very little on the menu with no specials on the list either. The hotel cleaners were not good at their job, leaving the bedroom without all the usual items that should be restocked regularly. On one occasion we had to ask for about six different items missing, plus a bath towel. They took all the bedroom phones out, so in an emergency you could not call down to security for help, (You could not use a mobile as it would not get you to the hotel security only to central reservations which would be no good to us in an emergency).At one stage we nearly called 999 on our mobile as we were so worried about a fight in the corridor in the early hours of the morning. We had our grandchildren with us so we were extremely worried.
