We stayed for 2 evenings and it was an incredibly welcoming and enjoyable experience. From the welcome to the bar in evening and the hospitable staff at reception are something to be proud of for this particular hotel. Steve and Radu were the two gents we spoke with, would recommend!!

On arrival car park was full even though we prepaid. Our hotel room was very tired dusty with cobwebs, this was definitely housekeeping at eye level. The fan in the bathroom randomly came on during the night which kept us awake. There was a Christmas party in the restaurant with guests from the party using the bar instead of using the bar in the restaurant which impinged on other hotel guests there seemed to be no organisation. Also guests from the Christmas party were incredibly loud and had no respect for other guests. It looked like a university Christmas party. Our meal from a limited menu was a lot to be desired. We ordered starters a member of staff came to say it we couldn’t have what we chose so we had to have something else, the chicken schnitzel was over cooked and dry my friend ordered pizza which tasted funny, we were unable to finish our meal. The breakfast next morning was unorganised with guests waiting for food that took ages to come to the hot pass with other guest commenting on how long it took to fry eggs one guest had been waiting for 20mins. The staff all looked stressed and were trying their best and kept apologising for the delays. I have to say I have stayed in a Premier Inn for a lot less and had better service.

I was able to check-in swiftly and my room was spacious, comfortable and clean. I have asked the receptionist to email about hotel vacancies available in January and i'm awaiting this. Swimming pool and sauna were great.

We often stay for a night to enjoy Exeter City. Great hotel location and staff. Disappointed however that Pool facilities are not now included. With parking and 2 for pool that's an extra £45 !
