Taps to be renovated in nedrooms

Hotel Good - check in terrible

Checked in online, with estimated arrival time of after 5pm. Arrived to check in 5.20, had to wait for 20 mins to be seen at desk, then no rooms available. Said to have a drink at bar and room would be ready in 10 mins. I don’t drink alcohol so voucher worthless for me. Waited for over an hour, still no room, went back to desk, waited another 30 mins to be seen then room finally available at 7.20. I was due to meet for dinner at 7.30. Offered more drinks vouchers, again useless, credit for dinner, I was eating outside of hotel, so useless, then discounted parking, I had already pre paid and they could not refund that, so again useless. Told hotel was very busy, but I had booked well in advance and online checked-in, so they knew I was coming. Very poor customer service.

The room wasn’t ready until almost 6 pm, 3rd bed not set up. Only one pillow. Basic room. Very expensive breakfast and daughter not treated well by restaurant staff.

All perfect, except that I couldn’t reserve 2 connecting rooms. Appreciated greatly the option for early checkin and late checkout, onsite parking. Very polite and helpful staff, exceptional manager. Will visit again.

Poor Room Quality, Smelly and Unclean

Nothing was right. Paid both of £250 every night, yet the moment I entered the room, there was pungent smell of alcohol and cigarettes. The window would not close as it had been opened by force (I think) and the highway was right next door so did not get any sleep. I asked for a dental kit and they did not even give that. Breakfast was good. Location was good. Other than that, no positives.
