Nice stay, room was clean and tidy, so was the bathroom. In General I have always had a good sleep here as have stayed on a few occasions. My only issue on this stay, which I did not bring up at the time, I didn't feel the need: Shower, there must have been something going on as the water output was pretty bad, if I were to compare it, maybe one of those camping solar shower bags would be a good comparison in terms of water pressure. The A/C was either not working properly or they had it scaled back, I was on the 11th Floor and the room refused to get below 25c, even with the AC set to 8c it was still blowing out trickles of warm air. Scrapping the AC and opting for the windows was actually getting better results but was still really warm. Any warmer and I think I would have mentioned this as it was of interrupted my sleep. Otherwise dinner and breakfast were nice and they at present are delivering to the room (Tip for them however: it's a hot breakfast so supply a selection of sauces) but I imagine this will stop soon with the relaxation of rules rolling out. Overall, was a nice stay and staff were nice and friendly

The hotel was well located, close to local shops and transport in a nice area. The rooms are big and clean, with good spacious lobby areas. The hotel was quiet and the views are good. The only downside was, when I asked for water or a water fountain at reception, I was told the pipes are salted and that water could not be provided. Quite strange. Would nevertheless recommend this hotel.

The room was small and the service was very low standard the small guy at reception was not even bothered to do anything or even know what he was doing there he could not even understand what I was saying never mind get me towel and some bin bags he could not find anything then he bossy with the girl she running around like a headless chicken and he just stands there also ppl smoke weed in rooms had to chek out 2nd day morning as was dizzy and stoned for work clothes stink also no 1 wearing no no never again

Both the Male Receptionists who looked after us during our stay were welcoming, enthusiastic, and very helpful. The Room (1124) whilst not the most modern was perfectly adequate and had a great view of the City to the west. Perhaps a little more Tea, Coffee and Milk would be a good idea. Otherwise everything was clean and serviceable. Thanks for an excellent stay, will return.

Disappointing...!

The stay was hugely disappointing due to a number of reasons... 1) Couldn’t regulate the temperature of the room as it was a centralised controller which resulted in a lack of sleep. 2) Smell of cannabis up and down the hall was very offputting. 3) Room service delivered wrong items for breakfast and it was also cold. This occurred every day that we stayed at the hotel. I will not be going back there and I will not book another room with ibis at other locations...

I thought booking a room with Ibis would be a great idea. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was ok but it was let down by a number of things. The heating and cooling didn’t work from the thermostat of the room and was centralised so we couldn’t maintain an even room temperature that we were comfortable with. This meant that we didn’t sleep properly for each night of our stay making our job that little bit more difficult. We ordered room service breakfast (as the breakfast buffet was out of service due to stop the spread of covid) but was really poor. We always had a food item missing or the food was cold and unappealing. Even though the staff were very polite our walk to our room was tainted by a very strong smell of cannabis on our hallway. Someone had covered the smoke alarm with a bin bag and was obviously smoking skunk weed out of their window. I don’t usually complain about hotels or write negative reviews but as we barely had much sleep I thought that I had best warn whoever reads this.

Well located, hotel is a bit run down and in dire need of refurb. Tv remote didn’t work, and handle came off shower, a bit noisy too. But then if they did refurb it, the price would go up. So on balance, OK.

I had to have prostate cancer surgery at the nearby Charing Cross hospital and needed somewhere my wife could stay over and where I could rest for a day after being discharged. The Ibis was ideal for this, only a 20 minute walk or five minute drive from the hospital. I emailed a few days in advance and they catered for our needs, even presenting a complimentary bottle of fizz to celebrate our anniversary. We had a queen suite which had plenty of space with two rooms. Due to Covid restrictions the food was only available via room service bit this was prompt and the food very nice. The staff were nothing but helpful and professional at all time. My only real criticisms would be the room decor, it's tired and the layout wasn't ideal with the sofa way offset to the TV making it almost impossible to see it. Also the towel rail in the bathroom gets very hot and has no adjustment which I unfortunately discovered when I lost balance and my arm landed on it giving it a nasty burn. The heating/Aircon machines also didn't work properly and the room was either cold or too hot and dry.
