This was our third stay at the Savoy. This time our suite had a magnificent view of the Thames and historic parts of the city. Day and night it was spectacular. The service was very personal and competent, all our wishes were granted without fuss. The meals were excellent, adapted to our personal restrictions and likes, in elegant surroundings at moderate background sound levels so conversation was possible. We entertained guests in our room and in the restaurants and American Bar - all were superb. We have already booked our next stay, and hopefully more to come.

We have been fortunate enough to stay at The Savoy numerous times, and somehow it continues to exceed our expectations. This visit was particularly special as we were celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and our stay in the Terrace Suite was simply incredible.
The suite itself was spectacular, but as always, it is the people who make The Savoy what it is. The kindness and care shown towards our daughter throughout our stay was genuinely touching and made her birthday feel incredibly special.
One moment that summed up The Savoy perfectly was when we were going across to see Paddington at the theatre. Rather than simply pointing us in the right direction, a member of the team escorted us over personally and made sure we were taken straight in. It may sound like a small gesture, but it is exactly this level of thoughtfulness and care that makes The Savoy so extraordinary.
Every member of staff we encountered was brilliant — warm, genuine, attentive and seemingly unable to do enough for us. I could name individuals who made an impression, but it almost feels unfair to single anyone out because excellence seems to run through the entire hotel.
There is a culture at The Savoy that is very difficult to put into words. No stone is left unturned, nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and yet the service remains wonderfully natural and personal. You genuinely feel that the people working there care about you and about creating memories, rather than simply providing a service.
Having stayed at The Savoy numerous times, perhaps the greatest compliment we can give is that this feeling has never changed. The consistency is remarkable. There are many beautiful luxury hotels, but beautiful surroundings alone cannot create what The Savoy has. Its people and its culture are second to none.
The Terrace Suite was incredible, our daughter was made to feel so special on her birthday, and the entire stay was faultless from beginning to end. Once again, The Savoy gave us memories we will treasure as a family. It remains somewhere incredibly special to us and continues to set the standard by which we judge every other hotel.

Amazing staff and service from the moment you arrive. Rob even remembered me from a previous stay. Every detail in our rooms was so thoughtful and my son absolutely loved the child's robe. The team was kind enough to let us utilize the house car when we were running late to a scheduled tour; along with preparing sandwiches for our departure with less than 30 minutes notice. The restaurant and bar staff were so warm and knowledgeable. You really felt like you were home and being looked after by family!

We have used the Savoy for many years. Your staff are, as always, wonderful. They are a credit to The Savoy. Sadly the good points end with your staff. The refurbished Riverview Suite was not in keeping with the character and history of The Savoy. It is the history of the hotel which is your USP. Failing to have the rooms in keeping with this history is a mistake. The room was bland, I could be anywhere in the world. Yes, the amazing view of the Thames. Yes, nice touches such as chocolates, champagne and a welcome note. But oh dear the decor.
No sofa, you can't sit and relax together. We had to sit on the bed in the other room to be comfortable. The chairs feel like you are sitting in Costa Coffee not The Savoy. Gone is a comfy sofa and a high back comfortable chair. These items added comfort and luxury to the room. Gone is the central chandelier lights, replaced by a donut light. My parents had these in the 50's, all very Sputnik. The lights are not in keeping with the Savoy eras and add nothing to create a feeling of luxury. Cost cutting, easy clean is the feeling.
No individual toiletries in the bathroom. These added luxury and personalisation. We now have communal toiletries with worn rims which are difficult to use. These plastic communal bottles never dispense properly. Why pay £3000 per night to share toiletries used by others. This is awful and not eco, just shoddy, cheap, cost cutting. Individual toiletries were given to me as I had asked for these but even they had been used and the conditioner packaging was split. This is terrible. You have lost the plot with luxury in the bathroom. I have mentioned this before when the communal toiletries first came in at The Savoy. It really isn't The Savoy, whoever thinks it is has no idea about luxury. The Savoy is luxury with function, not just function. Only one bar of tablet soap that has to be shared and moved around from sink to bath, to shower. Cheap and ungenerous.
We love the Savoy. It is our favourite hotel in the world and we have travelled extensively. Now we could be staying in any hotel anywhere in the world. The room has lost The Savoy luxury that made it so welcoming. It has lost its USP.
No ornaments on the mantel shelf or books in the room . These touches added a feeling of relaxation. No art on the wall in the bedroom. Might as well be in a Travelodge.
It makes me very sad to write this but The Savoy has really misjudged why guests choose The Savoy. If I want modern and faceless I can go to other 5 star hotels in London for half the price.
Please stop cost cutting, put back the luxury and the history. Focus on your USP.

We have stayed at the Savoy twice now, and it has been a wonderful experience both times. Hospitality and making the guest feel welcome is becoming rare and infrequent in the modern world. In an era of depersonalization and handsfree everything, the Savoy goes above and beyond in enhancing one's stay and insuring that each guest at the hotel feels valued. From the very warm welcome by the Doorman and staff at the front desk, to the porters and lobby team, on to the room attendants servicing one's room and providing turndown, and back to the concierge, always willing to help, there is no lack of attentiveness. Every member of the team plays a very important role in creating this wonderful experience.
A premium stay is not a shiny new toy; it is a feeling that makes one feel as if they belong. We returned to the Savoy this year as it felt like we were returning home.
The many dining options, bars, and the lovely library all offer varied choices for meals and drinks. And right outside the door are so many options of things to do from attending the theater, to dining to visiting a museum., to shopping at some of England's most iconic stores.
We have stayed in London many times and been at various locations throughout the city. Having now had the pleasure of staying at the Savoy twice, we can't imagine choosing another hotel while we are there.

We were in England for a wedding and wanted to go and experience London for a couple of days after the wedding. We stayed at the Savoy and were not disappointed. The hotel was beautiful, the service at the front desk, from the doorman at the restaurants, anywhere in the hotel was amazing.
