Everything from the private car transfers to the staff to the room to the bars to the restaurants was superb. Service provided and attention to detail was second to none. The Hotel is immaculately maintained, steeped in history and is quite simply the best of British. Fine dining, comfortable bars with character and atmosphere and a first class service throughout the Hotel. The Savoy will certainly become our home in London.

A good experience where most things were great, the only reason for not giving a 10 was check in and especially check out which was quite cumbersome.

We have stayed 3 or 4 times at the Savoy. The food is excellent, the staff attentive although a little stressed as it was a full hotel on Thanksgiving weekend and the waiters and waitresses were understaffed for breakfast. Loved the choir and evening singers. Rooms are great but we often have to refuse the first one offered to us as it’s too small. I wait in the lobby with our luggage while my wife goes up and inspects the room, before we move in. Eventually we get a bigger room and everyone is happy. We enjoy the ability to walk along the Thames and the close proximity to Covent Gardens shopping.

A great weekend stay away with my wife on her 60th birthday .Staff where friendly and helpful .Kaspars restaurant was attentive with lovely food.Easy walk across the road to see the Lion King although there are many other theatres and attractions such as covent garden . My wife a week on is still talking about our stay to friends .

Not what I expected! Arrival was a shambles due to the Christmas decorating going on. We couldn't even get into to the road so had to lug our own luggage down the road to the entrance. Doormen weren't interested in helping - to busy talking to the decorators. Allocated room overlooked a service area. I was woken two mornings in a row at 3am by deliveries being made outside and reversing trucks - clearly no double glazing on the windows of a very busy side of the hotel. I was moved to a much quieter room - but this was cramped. It was however much more pleasing on the eye and had a decent sized wardrobe. The wardrobe in the initial room had now shelving at all! The bar fridge stock take was incomplete so I was charged for items that the previous people has used - I picked this up and it was removed from the bill. Not the standard of stay I have experienced in the past. I brought numerous colleagues this me this time and can only hope they had a better experience!

Dear H., we are all so sorry you had this experience. A team did work overnight and into the morning decorating the outside and inside of the hotel and sadly this hive of activity coincided with your early morning arrival. It is extremely disappointing to hear you were not provided assistance with your luggage and apologise for this lack of attention from our Doormen. The reception team were keen to ensure you were provided a holding room to rest as soon as possible, knowing you would be tired from your journey. You should not have had to endure any noise disturbance at this hour and it is concerning. We are investigating how this came about, as we have to ensure our guests’ are able to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. Thank you for agreeing to move rooms, where happily you were more comfortable. The minibar charges were our human error and this matter has been handled directly with those concerned; it should not have taken you to bring this to our attention and we sincerely apologise. This stay was not to the standard you have previously enjoyed and we hope you will give us the opportunity to try to make amends. When you have a return stay in mind, please contact me personally, so I can oversee the arrangements and ensure you are very well looked after.
