Superb stay, as always, this time booked the lovely suite with it's own little balcony which affords gorgeous views over the Thames and is a delight, even in October's gloomy weather, to sit on during the evening with a glass or two plus blankets! The River View Restaurant was a real treat and absolutely delicious, they have a dedicated Vegan menu, which is always appreciated. The American Bar, did also not fail to endear itself. A fabulous hotel in a perfect location. Cannot wait to get back.

Overall nice hotel, from a different era. Limited handicap access. Be ready to go up and down stairs to go to your room. Rooms are well furnished with high quality beddings. Staff is courteous and provides excellent service for the most part. The hotel location is not easilly accessible. Lots of cars and traffice at the entrance making it difficult to get to the hotel Ate breakfast at the river restaurant which has no view. The menu is boring and uninspiring. The service is just OK. Uncoordinated is the right word. I also ate the Gordon Ramsay restaurant and this was worth it. Surprised when checking out to see an accomodation service charge of around $33 per day. Why?? I was told it was optional. If so why did not you ask me before adding it. If I am paying $1000 a nigh for the room why should there be any tips? Will I stay there again? I think there are many other good options that I will look at.

If I may comment about accessibility, we offer suites and rooms that are reached directly by lift with no stairs at all, so I am sorry to hear that you were allocated a room as you describe. Your feedback about the breakfast service and menu is disappointing. Your comments have been shared with the management team to review, action and improve. The service charge you mention is discretionary and this should have been explained properly either during the booking process or on your arrival to the hotel. Please accept our sincere apologies for any frustration caused at the time. Although you have doubts perhaps about returning to The Savoy in the future, we do hope you will consider coming back again to enjoy our new all-day dining venue due to open towards the end of November this year; and the first rooms will be returned to inventory in early 2025 as the first phase of our major rooms and suites refurbishment programme continues. We had a 2 night stay on a B&B basis for my wife's 70th birthday. On arrival we had been given an upgrade on our room which was lovely.
