I don’t usually write reviews but I feel this was needed, I was pleasantly surprised at my stay when visiting this hotel. What a lovely atmosphere, room was spacious & clean, well layed out and had all the essentials. Cleaning staff where exceptionally polite and helpful when I needed a few extra bits and went out of there way during there busy day to help grab what I needed. I would recommend staying here again

This was the 2nd time I’d stayed at the ibis styles in Barnsley, and it most certainly will not the be the last, I’m back up in Barnsley in March and I will 1,000,000% be booking here again, and for any future dates I’m back in Barnsley (I travel the country a majority of weekends as I referee Wrestling for several companies across the country). Staff have always been very welcoming, very friendly, The hotel in general and the room(s) I’ve stayed in have always been absolutely spotless, can’t fault the cleanliness of the hotel whatsoever, I never have the chance to use the TV in the rooms and both times I’ve been I’ve literally come to check in and then leave off to the show I’m refereeing on haha. Bathroom is very big, shower again very spacious, comes with shampoo/conditioner. Pressure in the showers are always great (I genuinely wish my shower was as good 🤣🤣) I really cannot fault the hotel to be perfectly honest, I will make this place my regular hotel whenever I’m in Barnsley/nearby areas for shows I’m refereeing on or just in general as I have family who visit Barnsley every now and again for pub crawls so I’ll certainly be recommending to stay here whenever these take place.

Accommodation ok - although bed mattress was on the hard side - room overlooked the rail line so occasionally heard the train going by - convenient for short stay required

Would be nice to have fried eggs, sausages were not up to my expectations. They were tasteless.
