Customer service was ok was told no rooms were available for early check in however kept seeing parties gettin room keys as we waited over 2 hrs to get a room key. It’s Conveniently located near tram however bed was super uncomfortable and outdated along with the sofa bed. The amenities however were amazing like pool, sauna and gym would be perfect with a furniture update.

The location was ideal with the tram stop being only a few minutes walk away. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. I liked all the eco friendly amenity kits. The food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the noise of the trains from the nearby rail tracks - I will bring ear plugs next time!

FPrefect Families - TripAdvisor review

We first stayed at this hotel in 2015 as part of a touring holiday. When part of our family moved to central Edinburgh 4 years ago without space conveniently to accommodate us, it was an obvious choice and we have returned on a number of occasions. This time, needing accommodation at short notice at Festival time, for family reasons, it was not only an obvious, but also, in relative terms, an economical choice. From arrival after midnight (thanks to an unsigned closed road) after driving from the south coast, to departure nearly three weeks later, we were shown every kindness and consideration. We try to avoid picking out individuals in reviews, but Zander on the front desk was particularly caring and helpful. It was such a relief not to have to change rooms when extending our original two week booking. The hotel is well located for air, road, rail and tram travel, with a tram station a short walk away with easy access to airport or city. The rooms and beds are comfortable - this time one of the nicest yet - with the bathroom equipped with Rituals products. The restaurant is airy and pleasant. There’s a great choice at breakfast. In the evening all the staff are friendly and attentive, and although the menu works on the basis of serving a relatively small range of choices and doing them well, we had no problems ringing the changes on the number of evenings we ate there. We felt comfortable and welcome, and were treated with a generosity not encountered before, even after a career involving hotel stays from Anchorage to Auckland.

Location was great. Staff helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Hotel looks new and was spotlessly clean. Enjoyed the pool and health facilities. Friday evening meal was very enjoyable and good value.

When we arrived we found that the toilet in the room wouldn't flush. We rang reception who just said someone would see to it. No time was specified and no other room was offered. After 15 minutes, we went out to sightsee, reminding reception that the toilet was broken. When we returned several hours later I asked reception, who said the toilet had been fixed. At that point however none of the 3 key cards would let us into the room. Traipsing downstairs again, reception blamed me for putting the cards near a mobile phone. I had not done so and explained this to them. They re-magnitised the cards. When I ordered a drink from the bar that night, the bar staff were generally inattentive and gave me the wrong drink. All things considered this was not what I would expect from nearly £200 a night.
