Great location and easy access using public transport

Great breakfast, comfortable beds but bathroom needed some attention. It may have been the location of our room, but we found the corridors noisy overnight, this was not our experience on previous visits. Bizarrely, this time, staff were dismissive on exit, again in contrast to previous stays.

We have stayed at this hotel for many years around Christmas and then previously for access to airport for early morning flights The hotel seems to be going downhill since the last time we stayed. We stay here because it’s out the way and quiet. However this was not the case this time, there was a DJ on for a big party underneath our room (second floor) I booked this hotel months in advance so I would have expected if there was a party they would move guests who aren’t part of the event, away from it and up higher floors so they can sleep and still enjoy their stay. However we were put in a room where the music was so loud we couldn’t hear the TV and upon mentioning it, nothing was done about it and it got louder until midnight. We were never informed there would be any loud events on when we checked in. In the room there is an advertisement leaflet for room service, which you order via WhatsApp on your phone. We tried to order via WhatsApp (however it said the number was “last seen” over a week ago so it didn’t give us much confidence) after waiting a few hours we went down to the bar to get drinks instead. Really disappointing they advertise the service in the rooms but it’s not actually in use? Strange The window ledges had mud marks and dirt on them which was horrible also I wouldn’t stay here again, which is a shame but it seems dated and like it needs help with some services, don’t know how a hotel can advertise room service and then not actually have any, not sure if management are aware of the issue but seems like the hotel needs a refresher on a lot of basic things

Positive Lovely warm swimming pool Coffee at breakfast Negative Drains smelling in room Tv not working Breakfast disappointing - watery beans, stale cheese, cold Pankakes, staff member with bad body odour topping up breakfast food.
