Room 214 - Awful drain smell

Our stay at the hotel was mostly enjoyable, with a one issue. Check-in was excellent, the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, even managing to find us a parking space despite some initial difficulty. Our room was nice, and we checked in at 3pm before heading out at 4pm. However, when we returned to our room around 1am, there was a very strong and unpleasant drain smell coming from the bathroom. We did our best to mask it with deodorant and perfume to get some sleep. By the morning, the smell wasn't as bad or we had become accustomed to it. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The staff seated us quickly and clearly explained all the options available, which we thought were excellent. Unfortunately, when we went to reception to report the drain issue, there was no one on the desk. We packed our bags and, once again, found no staff at reception when dropping off our key cards. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the friendly staff and great breakfast stood out, but the drain smell in our room was a disappointment and would make us hesitant to return.
