I travel to Ipswich regularly through work and usually stay in the Salt House hotel. Last time I came, the Salt House was booked up so I tried the Novotel and really enjoy my stay. I like the comfort of the beds, the staff, the fact that it has a gym and the breakfast is good so I decided to stay here again this time when I came down to Ipswich this week. Unfortunately, I think there must be some kind of bug infestation because after sleeping there for 2 nights I'm covered head to toe in bites. Very disappointed because other than that, I did enjoy my stay.

Good central location, hotel staff helpful, friendly and courteous, parking on site reasonable at £7 for 24 hours. Nice steak for the evening meal, excellent pork bites starter. TV did not work in the room originally but i got relocated quickly to another room.

Rooms large and clean, seperate Bathroom and Toilet which is a major plus. Location very close to main Rail station, Portman Road and centre. Rooms need some pictures to take away the corporate look.

Could do with more tea,coffee and milk in room,I know you can get more from reception unless they are out of coffee also ,ordered room room service and despite telling them twice my room number 213 they still managed to put 215 on receipt and deliver it there.Shower was good ,heating was good and I like that you actually have a window you can open,excellent location and easy parking.
