The location of the hotel is really good, close to London bridge and borough market. A few convenience stores also within walking proximity such as M&S. To be honest, I felt the price was higher for the type of room and service given. The room was definitely not the most cleanest I have stayed in, the room had a lot of fluff which made operating it grimy and everyday I kept telling the reception to ask housekeeping to fold the sofa bed but this was not done until my checkout. It is an okay hotel but definitely not value for the money you pay. The bar was nice and the bartender (a lady) was nice to me. Would I be back here? Not sure.

Main issue was that the room was 27 degrees, stiflingly hot. Apparently it’s “not policy” to have guests adjusting their room temperatures - that was the very curt message when I mentioned it at reception. The fourth floor was also very dark, to the point of feeling dingy and unsafe. No butter at breakfast, only chemical laden margarine. Not a good choice.

Nadine C Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

Whilst location was great the room was very uncomfortable. It was very warm in the room. You could open the windows a little but then it meant you could hear the noise on the streets. I had the worst nights sleep. I spoke to reception and they told me there is no air con as it’s been turned off for winter. Not helpful at all.

Hotel Reception staff excellent. Reception/bar/restaurant areas are very welcoming. Executive room on the third floor was immaculate and very comfortable. The lighting in the room is really dark, which is fine for relaxing, but it's almost impossible to be able to apply make-up or dry hair using mirror. Please provide additional lighting near the large mirror for this purpose.
