Felted welcomed from the minute we arrived. The lady who looked after us was warm and lovely and made sure we ok from start to finish. Food was lovely and would highly recommend to all my friends. Surroundings felt very festive and a good atmosphere

2 night stay in December for Business. Plus points are they reception, restaurant and bar area are of a high standard. Breakfast was reasonable, bar prices decent and staff friendly. Once you leave the ground floor however it goes downhill. My room on the 5th floor was reasonable in size but decor is really dated. No water in fridge, beds and pillows not comfortable. The big problem however is the bathroom set up. The toilet is in its own small room( more like a cupboard to be honest). Whilst your not spending much time on your trip here it really is a very strange set up and to be honest hardly the most hygienic when you have to move to a different room to use the sink. The 2nd room with sink/shower was of a decent enough standard but a really dated bath/shower combo with poor water pressure was also fairly disappointing also. Whilst I wasn't affected other colleagues in my party mentioned depending on your room location internal and external noise was an issue. Location is fine 5 mins in the Tram from New Street. Does seem to be an area frequented by beggers etc so one to be aware of if you are travelling alone. Unfortunately wouldn't stay here again for any future trips

- Room very dark and dated. - Toilet is in a separate room with no sink to wash hands, meaning you spread your germs over at least 2 door handles before cleaning - Shower screeched the entire time during use - Windows old and let all sound in, including the 4am car horn symphony (not the hotel's fault but I'm sure more modern fixings would help dampen it some) - Bed hard as rock. Even my partner who slept on a hospital floor only a month ago said it was uncomfortable. I've had better stays in Ibis Budget. Disgusted I paid so much for this single night, thought it would be worth it when my other Novotel stays have been some of the best stays I've had. You get 3 stars for the staff. Only spoke to them on check in, but very professional and friendly.

Very pleasant stay, everything spot on. Comfy bed, spacious bedroom. Front of house very attentive, restaurant staff very helpful. Chicken burger wasn’t the best I had for dinner, but overall happy. Only thing missing was the biscuits. Every hotel room needs a biscuit. Maybe next time.
