GOOD STAY

Customer review rating 3.5/5

Two adults and a dog stayed. Good overall experience. Apartment spec is good. Location great. Disappointed that as a dog friendly hotel I had to miss breakfast as nowhere to eat with dog in tow. Green lighting in room too bright and did not appear to be able to turn off. Sadly on eigth floor which was a trek every time needed to take dog out to toilet. Disappointed that despite neighbours providing it, there was no electric charging available for car. Reception staff good, cleanliness excellent.

nice layout

Room size and layout was good. Location was good. Staff good. Everything was clean and tidy and in great condition. Amenities were fine, although cooking in the room was difficult due to the equipment. The bed was very hard so experienced back and hop pain. No phone to call reception so we had to go down a couple of times. No hot water one day.

Having stayed in the Ibis earlier this year, I decided to upgrade to Adagio as a treat for my birthday. The welcome was warm, the apartment was clean, spacious and well-equipped, the bathroom was well-stocked. There were a couple of minor issues: one of the wall decorations was loose and the breakfast bar had been damaged but these by themselves were not enough to spoil things. What I did find strange was that the coffee machine came with a supply of 2 (two) pods and I could only get more by buying them. If I was staying in the Ibis, I could get a top-up of teabags and coffee daily but when I asked at Reception, I was told that the Adagio apartments were cleaned only every 8 days and only then would another 2 pods be left. I wasn't even offered the instant coffee or teabags available to Ibis guests. This meanness seemed strange and out of place considering how much effort had gone in to making the apartment comfortable. I've said the apartment was well-equipped. There was an oven, washing machine and dishwasher but no instructions which would have been helpful for those of us who don't find such things intuitive. There was a QR code to scan for information which may or may not have included these instructions but not all of us want to scan QR codes and read things on a mobile screen. The Ibis checkout time is midday but for Adagio, it's 11am. This is an interesting building, well-placed for the railway station and High Street. I enjoyed my stay, despite these letdowns which could so easily and inexpensively have been avoided, so perhaps maintenance will be done and more thought put into the offer before I plan my next stay.

Good location nice and clean

Lovely apartment but on a red route so hard to park and get my stuff into the hotel. Lovely that there was a coffee maker in the room but sad that after I used the two capsules I would have had to buy more supplies and the over right and inecessary fire illuminating green light really kept me from good sleep on the first night until I covered it with blu tack ( which I forgot to remove)
