my daughter and I stayed the weekend of the Country to Country festival which sadly was cancelled. The room was very expensive - nearly £400 for 2 nights- because of C2C. Many people had cancelled so the hotel was very quiet. My daughter arrived before check in time & was asked for an extra £20 to check in early even though the room was ready & we'd prepaid top rate. That's just mean & penny-pinching. Apart from that the stay was fine, nice room, friendly staff, great location

The staff here are exceptional and go out of their way to accommodate. Hard working team who work well together and or as individuals. The only down side is the poor drainage system at the Hotel which seriously needs updating, sewage smell from sink when running water and draining sink. Aside from this I would of awarded a higher mark. 8/10

Worst Ibis Stay

I've stayed with Ibis frequently before, but this was by far my worst stay. On arrival staff were a little clueless, not being able to answer relatively simple questions. I then went down for dinner later on, again the member of staff who served me seemed disinterested and it took over an hour for my food to arrive. The food was awful, frozen/cold veg on pasta, I'd waited so long I decided to leave it and head to the corner shop opposite for a sandwich

The staff was very warm and welcoming.

Good and polite reception, room looked new. Bathroom clean. 24hr bar so we could sit and relax as we arrived late. Didn’t have breakfast as we don’t eat much in the mornings but walked to a local cafe.

Everything was easy but the aircon didn't work. A mechanic came round to fix but said it's the same with all rooms because of cold weather. We have stayed about 5 times at this same hotel this winter and aircon has always worked. So think he was lying. They didn't give us another room just a fan and aircon remained broken.
