Cheap and not so cheerful. Room had dirty splash marks on ceiling, shower water didn't drain and threatened to overflow so had to keep turning water off. Carpets in main corridors on level 3 were full of stain marks. Air conditioning didn't work, tv kept randomly turning itself on. Downstairs in bar, there was only one person serving after an event at the Excel, so there was a long, slow queue. On a plus, the hotel was ideally located with a 2 minute walk to the excel centre. I won't be staying there again.

Hotel was up to expectations but its sorely needs an uplift as the furnishings, carpets and furniture need an overhaul.

This second visit wasnot the same as the first one. The level cleaningness in the room was bad. There was plenty of time for the staff to prepare the room as checked in late. Imagine our disappointment walking in a room with dirty bedsheets, dirty bathroom floor and sink and finding holes in the towels. The receptionist managed to find us a different room for which we're greatful but the cleaner's continue to leave the used mugs and glasses in the room.

The rooms were as expected for the price, similar to a Travelodge and the reception staff were very helpful. The hotel was within easy reach of the Elizabeth Line. However, the breakfast was rubbish and definitely not worth the money. Poor choice, people waiting around for food and cutlery to be replenished. Tables were dirty and full of used cups and plates that weren’t cleared. I definitely wouldn’t bother with the breakfast next time.
