We have used this hotel for three years now and it always provides us with what is needed and expected. A clean room, simple checking in and out and a great breakfast. The staff at the breakfast are so helpful and welcoming. The hotel is a reasonable price and good location for all the sights of Edinburgh.

Nice Staff & Great Breakfast But Bed Comfort was Minimal

The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the room, especially the bed which was soo uncomfortable. My wife woke up during the night in agony and 2 days later, now at home, my lower back is in so much pain, that I struggle to raise myself off the sofa. It was 100% fine before we went to this Ibis.

Well will never stay there again!!

Room and bathroom are small and very basic. Windows can't open. Two people in the room with one towel and two small hand towels. Rooms not serviced due to COVID but if you ask they will clean the room - why? Not a nice expereince at all. Rooms and bathrooms are very small and very basic. Two people in the room with one bath towel and two hand towels. We are travellers and have negative COVID tests? When asked for room to be clean I was told they are "too busy" but will try and clean by 17h00 - room was never cleaned. Breakfast disgusting - left and went to eat somewhere else. Just not a great experience. Coffee, tea and milk was not replaced for three days. Also I booked the room prior to lockdown and after hogmanay was canceled the same room was 50% less but the staff was rude and not prepared to assist with a reduction in the rate I paid - was just unpleasant overall. Eventually got some assistance.

Very good location, right in the centre, Museum of Scotland just round the corner. The hotel is like the maze though, easy to be lost which happend to me on arrival. People responsible for cleaning , making sure that everything that needed us in the room should be more efficient - not enough towels, other time bins emptied but not replaced with fresh bin bags ... otherwise good value for money, nice breakfast buffet, just enough choice, nice , friendly staff across the establishment

Avoid - couldnt sleep due to music and lights switching on themself!

This has to be the worst experience ive never had in a hotel. I checked in on 25/12/21 and checked out on 27/12/21 1. on 25/12/21 the lights switched themselves on at 1:58am! not just one light, every light in the room. 2. on 26/12/21 - We could not sleep, we had a nightclub underneath the hotel which was palying unbelievably loud music. I was them told my the member of staff i could have earplugs!!! after complaining further we were moved from room 509 to 612 at midnight! it was shocking, we had to move all our clothes and belongings while in our pyjamas! Quite simply, the worst experience ever. i wont be back!

We have stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in conjunction with Christmas. It was a good stay overall, hot water bath, many eateries around, and near distance to the city. We basically wandered around the city by feet.

Stayed here just after Xmas. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Can't beat the location, 2mins off Royal Mile. Room was large enough, with lovely big windows. Bathroom was large with a great shower. Expected daily house keeping, but I think this was stopped due to covid (although noone said anything)

Spent 2 nights at this hotel between Christmas and New Year. Overall it is a nice hotel well situated for the Royal Mile and other tourist areas and only about 15 minutes walk from Waverly Station and the trams to and from the airport.

The stay was lovely. The hotel is just off the Royal Mile, with lots of tourist attractions and shopping Just steps away. Staff is helpful and friendly, and rooms are spacious and clean.

The place is near many restaurants and the tourist place. Very secure and safe area even at night. They can keep the luggage after check out. Check out at 12pm is very convenient. Clean and good bed. Highly recommended

Booked hotel for 2 nights for family wedding. Unfortunately we had to wait for our room, which wasn't to much of an inconvenience apart from two things, not having a waiting area(Costa coffee next door was handy) and also having to wait in quite a long queue to get to reception for the second time. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and staff very pleasant.
