Dear Safuan, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us following your recent stay at our hotel. We're disappointed to hear that you did not feel our housekeeping services were adequate. Our hotel standard is to provide two towels and one small towel (which may act as a bath mat) in all rooms. Additional towels can be requested at our reception as you have described. In future, if you would like extra towels to be provided by our housekeeping team during room servicing, please let the reception team know so that instructions can be noted and passed on to the relevant members of staff. While we regret to hear that you were inconvenienced by having to request new bath towels at our reception on the fourth day of your stay, our records show that you opted into our 'skip the clean' programme that day, which allows our guests to reduce the environmental footprint of their stay by suspending room cleaning if they don't consider it necessary. This is the reason your towels were not replaced, as our housekeeping team do not enter rooms which have opted out of cleaning services. Our reception is indeed on the fourth floor of the hotel, as the main entrance sits on a bridge, elevating street level several floors above the ground. There are several floors below our reception level. While we appreciate that this is unusual, it is standard in the part of Edinburgh our hotel lies within. There is a sign in the elevator to indicate reception level as a reminder of the building's layout, though we appreciate you bringing it to our attention that some guests seemed to struggle with this, and will take your comments into consideration to increase the clarity of our signage and explanations. We are happy to hear that you appreciated the professionalism of our reception team during your stay. While I apologise that your ALL membership was not acknowledged upon your arrival, please be reassured that all members are noted within our system and we are dedicated to ensuring all members receive the benefits reflective of their ALL status. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel in the future so that we may provide you with a more positive experience.
