The hotel is very well situated however there were a number of disappointing factors to our stay. I am a silver member and would usually be upgraded, but this didn’t happen. I didn’t realise that we had booked two accessible rooms and I received an email to ask if we actually needed accessible rooms. I called The Hotel directly and said that we didn’t, but would we be able to have two double rooms rather than two twins? The person I spoke to said yes that should be fine. Then I received an email from The Hotel to confirm that they didn’t have any double rooms. On arrival, the receptionist was very helpful, but I asked him if we could have double room rooms and he said that The Hotel was full. Later before we went out, I came down and asked if we could have a couple of bottles of water in the room. We were advised that they don’t provide them. The coffee and tea wasn’t really filled up each day, and my friend had dirty glasses left for the duration of the stay, and she ran out of toilet roll on the last morning. I have stayed at some lovely Ibis hotels, but this wasn’t one of them. The twin beds were very small, and having spent almost £300 per night per room, I’m very angry about our stay.
