Breakfast buffet was well laid out and more than ample, room was very clean, tidy. Only issue was with the bathroom. The step out of the bathroom was a bit of a trap as did slip when leaving bathroom as the floor in the room itself gets very slippy. Staff very friendly and good at their job

Great Location; Generally Good Value, But There Were a Few Problems.

We sayed 10 nights. Hotel staff were courteous and friendly. Convenient to have a cafe on the premises. The problems: One thin bath size towel each = no hand towels (When I asked, the desk staff said they didn't provide this smaller size, yet the housekeeping saff delivered two smaller towels when I inquired about them directly; Sheets were not changed during oiur rather long stay; The mattress on one of our beds slid off its base and sent me to the floor one night; the plate covering the toilet flushing mechanism fell off (thankfully falling on the floor and not into the toilet basin and no one from housekeeping fixed it until after a couple of days we called the desk staff about it. In spite of these negatives, the hotel is in a very good location and, though the rooms are small and basic, they are a good value for money. Southwark tube station is 1 1/2 blocks away, a Tesco Express and a Sainsbury are nearby, there is a bus stop closeby, and you can walk to several theatres and restaurants on the South Bank-Southwark area.
