I chose the Ibis for a second time for it's location and price. I'm happy to recommend it as it is as described in the brochure and the staff are friendly, professional and helpful. The only downside is a shortage of immediately accessible free parking spaces and you need to work with reception to avoid being ticketed by predatory enforcers from nearby if you aren't arriving at the right time.

A couple was given the same room key as me and walked in my room during my stay. I would have liked a kettle in my room

Basic and simple - exactly what we needed

This hotel has decor that might resemble a prison room. But so what? It's warm, comfortable, easy and all you need for a single night as a place to crash after visiting the local boozer establishments. Friendly staff at reception as well, always smiled and shared great banter. Only real issue is the parking. The hotel seems to share spaces with resident parking for nearby tower blocks, so it's a pain trying to find a space that isn't a resident one. Get a space though and you're all set.
