Good place to stay unless breakfast matters to you

The room was very clean and comfortable, the neighborhood okay, and the location convenient for where I had to go. Had a good night sleep and a nice hot shower. Overall five stars, since it's exactly what you would expect, except: the breakfast. I felt bad for the breakfast hosts who meticulously kept every surface clean, straightened out the glasses and cups, kept everything restocked all the time, and worked really hard ... with substandard food. The coffee was terrible (it says "Tchibo," but that's hard to believe), the milk-coffee lukewarm, the apple juice colored water, the bread of the cheapest kind, the peaches sour, ... I know it's a budget hotel, but maybe getting the breakfast items from just one shelf higher at the supplier?

I must admit I was a little skeptical walking into this hotel. We had been to the British museum and a show in the west end as we were checking in around 10pm. There were lots of people milling around the restaurant and lobby and it seemed for no reason. But I worried needlessly. We were not disturbed at any point during our stay. We stay in London one weekend per year with the kids. We chose this location as we wanted to visit museums in the east end and around the docks. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a great nights sleep and would definitely stay again if we were visiting attractions in that part of the city

A great find

It's like 8-10 mins walk to the tubes, be it the Elizabeth line or the district line. It has all the basic necessity inside the room, just no dental kit and free bottled waters. Staff are polite and attentive, it's clean and tidy. Bed and pillows were comfy, toilet/shower is usually in most of the Ibis chains but doable. It's good for a night stay without any hassles with good pricing.

I have stayed here several times, it's well located, a short walk from Whitechapel and Aldgate Tubes. Very basic rooms, but pleasant staff and good breakfast
