Good hotel clean and calm. It's close to markets and undergrounds. Nevertheless, the room is small for three persons and lacks storage

The location was advantageous for my stay. The room was clean and nicely lit. The shower and toilet rooms were clean and well maintained. Extra linen was provided at our request. I’d stay again in the future.

Hi William, Thank you for your review. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed our location and found the room and facilities to be exceptionally clean—we really appreciate you noticing the hard work of our housekeeping team. I am sorry that we couldn't swap your room to a twin bed upon arrival. As we were likely fully booked, our flexibility can sometimes be limited, but I've shared your feedback with our front desk to ensure we're as helpful as possible when these situations arise. Regarding breakfast, as an ibis budget, we typically offer a continental selection, though we're always looking for ways to improve our variety. We’re glad to know you'd stay with us again and look forward to welcoming you back to Whitechapel! Best regards, Chaitanya, Team Leader

J E. S. Solo - Confirmed reviews ALL

My son was rushed to the Royal London Hospital in the early hours of Monday 13 April from Southend-on-Sea for emergency brain surgery. I stayed at the hospital while he had his surgery and was told I wouldn't be able to see him afterwards. My husband rang the Ibis Budget hotel and asked if I could book in early as I hadn't slept for over 24hrs. I was given a room and was willing to pay the £30 surcharge. I booked for 2 nights for a very reasonable eaten, but didn't need to stay as my son was discharged. I could have requested a refund, but to be honest, the staff were so lovely and the cost so reasonable we didn't bother. The room was basic but clean and the dining area was big and the smell coming from it was lovely. Everywhere was clean and the staff most helpful so I would definitely book again.

Dear J E. S., Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us during what must have been an incredibly difficult and stressful time for you and your family. We are truly sorry to hear about your son’s emergency surgery, and we sincerely hope that he is recovering well. We’re very glad that our team was able to support you by arranging an early check-in when you needed rest the most. Your kind words about our staff, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere mean a great deal to us. It was our privilege to assist you when you needed comfort and convenience, and we truly appreciate your generosity in sharing such thoughtful feedback. We wish your son a full and speedy recovery, and we would be honored to welcome you again under much better circumstances in the future. Best regards, Rina Front office team member ibis budget London Whitechapel - Brick Lane

Baris B. Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

Formal Complaint: Deliberate System Omission and Poor Service at Ibis Budget London Whitechapel "Dear Management, I am writing to report a concerning and unprofessional practice at your Whitechapel branch. After staying in Room 615 (3 days) and providing negative feedback via your survey, my subsequent 5-day stay in Room 645 was never registered in the Ibis app. It appears the staff deliberately bypassed the standard check-in process to prevent further feedback. Room 645 had serious maintenance issues: a faulty shower causing flooding and a broken ventilation system leading to constant humidity. The heating/cooling was ineffective, and the bedding was below standard. I also want to highlight the unprofessional conduct of your staff. Specifically, the female receptionist with East Asian features was consistently rude. Furthermore, the night shift staff provided basic amenities with a hostile and silent attitude. I expect a formal explanation regarding why my second stay was omitted from the system and how you intend to rectify these service failures."

Dear Mr. Baris, Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry to read about your experience and appreciate you bringing these matters to my attention. I have contacted you directly via email, as I would value the opportunity to discuss this further with you and work towards a suitable resolution. Sincerely, Alin Corici - Front Office Manager
