Booked Ibis Canning Town for a 4 night stay around the time of C2C 2025 as it was Mums Birthday weekend ( country music festival held annually at the O2 arena in March ) as I had stayed there previously for another event at the O2 with a friend. the price was pretty competitive foro that amount of time on a flexible booking ( coming from cornwall we never want to do flat rate just in case of delays so this worked out perfect ) The front of house staff and management were really personable and friendly felt like they actually wanted to help not like many of the other hotels of a smilar style and budget. And not only that they were good in answering questions and explaining rather than just shrugging their shoulders and acting like it wasnt their problem like i have had alot before - we like to try and do a london trip every summer if we can and some of the experieinces have been offputting at other places - but I will go out of my way to recommend this particular hotel and staff set up as i found great - I had previously rang up the day before with an issue on the booking as I wasn't able to check in online for some reason but the host was able to check us in and also sort out another issue I had. The tube journey from the hotel to the arena is unbeliveably easy, a few stops on one line and you are there ! unfortunately we were not well on this trip so we were even more greatful for the short jorney. The rooms were immaculate, and the cleaning staff were helpful and polite, we didnt have to remind anyone of we had asked for more towels or toiletries which was great. the smart tv was a bonus, beds very comfy, lighting was plentiful but you could have different sets of lights on which was handy - the tall mirro just as you enter the room was a bit harsh for doing make up in but the one in the bathroom was perfect. We had a little kettle and tea/coffee station which was lovely - something we miss when it isnt in a hotel room. There was just enough hanging space for a 4/5 day trip for two people. AC was working great and not complicated to work out. I liked the fact that there didnt seem to me many familes there felt like more of a couples or smaller friend group sort of place - I don't enjoy the chaos of children screaming if i've just spent a few nights at the O2 - The Cafe / bar attached to the Hotel Chill 08 has lovely staff who make the most amazing drinks and food - the chocolate martini and choco margherita were favourites. Pancakes just what we needed as a treat, and the buffett breakfast was lovely too eveything tasty and fresh much better than getting anything from starbucks to set you up for the morning. Would recommend if there is more than one of you to make sure you get a table before you get your food as its a very popular breakfast spot. 11/10 would stay again !
