We found this hotel perfect for access to London by the tube. For trouble free excellent access to anywhere you want in London for a very modest cost we would come time and again. A large, well stocked Morrisons nearby provides a great variety of both hot and cold food. And the accommodation at the hotel is modern and all you need for a short stay. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Another great stay at this hotel - we enjoy coming here as the reception staff are excellent (Daniela) and we always have good quality sleeps in your comfy beds. Sadly the experience in the bar leaves an awful lot to be desired.

Really liked the hotel and check in was good Only issue is food served on the hotel restaurant There are NO vegan and NO gluten free meals at all A gluten allergy is not a lifestyle choice To compromise we ordered 2 meals to swap some but one came out wrong We queried this and then waited for the correct meal to arrive..... which never did. So one us had no food ad then the kitchen was closed The staff did not seem to grasp gluten free means you can't just eat anything A change in the menu really needs to be addressed

I don’t want a double bed

I’ve contacted you regarding my issue but had no reply. We were given two rooms, both times we trexked up only to find there was a double bed inside. Third time we asked for the room to be checked before we went away up again. There was a lot of waiting around until new rooms were found and I was annoyed to find out about the 15 min guarantee once I returned to Glasgow as it was conveniently not mentioned whilst we were there even tho we’d been kept waiting and were up and down the lifts various times trying to get our room sorted. I did asked for a complimentary drink which I received only to find out that three of the draft beers available as complimentary were off. So not the best experience even though the girl we dealt with was polite and apologetic it might have been nicer to have had a supervisor apologise and also admit we qualified for the 15 min guarantee as the issue was not resolved within 15 minutes :(

Hotel very nice, room was clean but lack of extra blankets although room had heat I prefer not to use the fan heater as their are vents the room gets stuffy.

I've stayed at the Ibis Canning Town on multiple occasions and have always been happy with the cleanliness of the rooms and the professionalism of the staff. However the in the last few trips there has been a noticeable decline in the quality of the staff working in the bar. They untrained and also uniterested. For example on my recent stay I asked the bartender for a Jameson. She didn't know what that was and I told here Irish Whiskey. See then took approx 4 minutes going through the till to see if it was sold and it was listed. Following this her and another member of bar staff took further 5 minutes checking every bottle behind the bar to see where it was. I was then told they were out of it, so I asked for a Jack Daniels and again she went back to check every bottle. So it ended up taking the best part of 10 minutes to get a drink and I was only person at the bar.

I chose this hotel based on its proximity to London City Airport and on its positive Trip Advisor reviews. I was more than pleased with my choice. From the moment I arrived, I enjoyed my time here. The staff are very welcoming, the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. As a widowed female traveling on my own, I was a bit apprehensive about my stay but I felt completely safe and looked after here. Supper in the hotel’s bar/cafe was a delight. Very impressed overall.

The hotel was clean, the staff were brilliant and the breakfast was excellent. Then when I checked out I found that the first night cost £259 which represented half of the 4 night stay. What was most annoying was that the itemisation was not available on the Accor website when I booked. Obviously I would have delayed the trip 1 day if I had known. Subsequent conversations with the hotel have been met with ‘sorry our prices change’ rather than ‘as you’re a valued customer we’ll refund a percentage’ so I’ll be looking at other hotel groups in future.

It was a good room, disappointed that the curtain couldn’t be fully closed and left a light due to the wardrobe. The bottom of the shower door seal had fallen off so the shower leaked.

The noise from guests in the room above us kept my nine year old daughter and I awake until 3am, which ruined our day in London the following day. I rang reception but they said there was nothing they could do. We were located on a quiet corridor but the soundproofing between floors is obviously not good.

The Ibis Canning Town is a brand new, clean and very comfortable hotel. It is very conveniently located opposite Canning Town station for tube, bus and DLR. It is very quiet despite its location and the beds are very comfortable. It was good value and I will stay there again when I am in that part of London.
