When we arrived at the hotel we were not able to go to our rooms as the daily housekeeping had not been completed (we were able to leave our bags safely and free of charge). I regard this as a positive, as I recently had to leave a different hotel because on going up to the room it had not been touched since the previous guest had stayed in it - dirty bedding and towels, food remains etc.. In this time of need for enhanced cleaning and safety, I would much rather wait and know that the room is clean and safe. IBIS Birmingham Airport delivered on all counts, and the new-style rooms were very comfortable and well-appointed.

We arrived after a late flight at just after 11.00. Could have used a drink, but the bar had shut at 10.30. No issue with the room (907). Clean, comfortable. However the room had no 'Do not disturb' sign and e were woken up by housekeeping before 09.00 when we were still in bed and again at 09.30. This was annoying. when we left at 10.45, we saw that housekeeping had put a 'Do not disturb' sign on the door. Having such a sign in the room would have given us a better night's rest after a long day & flight.

Very unnerved by the proximity of guests, mostly not wearing masks in a very confined reception area, non of whom were socially aware of others. This made us (70+ year old pensioners) feel very vulnerable in the circumstances as we entered or left the building. The room was spotless, as usual, and the bed very comfortable.

Expensive for what it was. Over-heated room, no housekeeping to replace shower gel, tea/coffee, poor breakfast selection (which was also lukewarm).

Very convenient location at Birmingham Airport and Train station A/C did not work and window only opens a small amount Hotel made a poor job of encouraging guests to wear masks in common areas, consequently I did not use the bar etc.

I thought i was staying in a nice hotel but my room didn’t even have a hairdryer, the a/c was not working, and even the restaurant was closed! This is definitely the last time I stayed there.

We were on the 7th floor. The mono rail was noisy. There was also a lot of noise from people outside. I know this is not the fault of the hotel

Unfortunately my room was left unmade up for the total stay. I put the door hanger out report Rd to desk 2 night same dissapointed after long day a Nec... Staff pleasent and gave me clean towels etc but not good enough.. Room 408

The room that I had was spacious. Would of like a bigger room that will accommodate a small sofa, just like ibis styles. And also a bigger cubical bathroom. The area was noisy especially at night time when next door hotel barriers kept making noise. The hotel should provide food in the lunch and supper time, I guess that can be amended. In all the stay was nice. The bed was comfy and the service was excellent. I will recommend to anyone and I will stay there again.

Have stayed at this Ibis several times and although pretty basic, the rooms are always clean and comfortable. There did appear to be less staff on hand than normal and the restaurant was only serving extremely basic food.

Rooms wasn’t available at 8pm because they hadn’t been cleaned, didn’t get into room until 11pm. It was supposed to be a relaxing night sleep before our flight next morning but ended up being a stressful night.
