Long drive to hand back hire car, staying overnight to catch coach to Manchester Airport. Receptionist was very helpful and quickly sorted key and information about hotel.

We often stay here when flying from Birmingham. The location is perfect for departures. There is usually some sort of problem staying here but because of the location we put up with it. The last 2 times the rooms were so hot it was difficult to sleep and there was no way of changing the heat level. This time the seal around the window worn and a high pitched noise was caused by the wind was too loud for us to sleep. We slept with the window open. OK in the summer but not so good in January.

Our prices do vary according to demand and at the time you stayed the whole airport Hotels were extremely busy with events from the NEC. our rooms are self controlled for the heat and cooling settings but I will ensure our maintenance team check that there was no fault and that it could be switched off. The hotel was easy to find, rooms lovely, great restaurant, the only thing needs attention is the staff, non of them made an impression on me. I rang before hand about parking and breakfast and I just got a feeling that he wanted me off the phone!!! Also all other staff didn't want to go that little extra to help you, i think that it's a nice touch that they want to help and makes the experience better. But I would stay again if going to NEC or airport. Thanks

We arrived quite late and went to the bar for a drink before retiring. We had to queue for over 30 minutes just to get a drink served. All tables were littered with used crockery and glasses. Quite simply there were nowhere near enough staff on duty.

Lovely new Ibis rooms ,check in was a little hostile saying we could not check in till 2 pm but arrived 1.30 pm and wanted extra £20 charge . The TV alarm system was very quiet even though volume in loud and trying to call reception rang for 15 mins each time no replies , eventually got thru and seem reluctant but gave us wake up call around 2am as early flight from Bhsm otherwise nice stay .
