Quiet room on 6th floor

We asked for a room in a quiet area of the hotel and found the 6th floor provided the perfect solution. There was a problem with the drainage of the washbasin though, which made our short stay a little less pleasant.

Good hotel in excellent location

The hotel is in an excellent location for the airport. Rooms are as you would expect and it's nice to have proper mugs and not disposable ones. The bathroom is fine apart from a very slow draining sink. The bed is comfortable and the only drawback was the constant droning of air conditioning units and refrigeration units outside. We had asked for a quiet room so it was disappointing to have the droning all night.

Fine just an issue with my I pad charger that I left behind I phoned up and the staff checked the room and found i Said it would be put in the safe until my return On my return I visit the hotel to collect it and was told unable to find it I waited 15 minutes I had to leave as the staff member was dealing with it was off sick I was no very happy Was told they would ring me to tell me they have found it but have not received a call back

All good except too hot

All Ibis hotels seem to have air cooling that only works when the outside temperature exceeds 20 or 21C. But I regularly find that rooms are far too hot even in winter, and the cooling system will not function. The windows will only open about an inch so don't cool the room much. Great apart from that but I always have a poor sleep for that reason.

No issues other than Wednesday night when your till systems swapped at around 2130 hours when we were ordering food at the table to then be told sorry you have to go to the till after finishing ordering. Another Member of staff sorted it out, but as I'm disabled & it was busy it would have been a struggle at that point as it was so busy.

We often stay here when flying from Birmingham. The location is perfect for departures. There is usually some sort of problem staying here but because of the location we put up with it. The last 2 times the rooms were so hot it was difficult to sleep and there was no way of changing the heat level. This time the seal around the window worn and a high pitched noise was caused by the wind was too loud for us to sleep. We slept with the window open. OK in the summer but not so good in January.
