The hotel doesn't look at notes head offices send them, we booked for december in April, a disabled privilege room, what we got firstly was a non disabled privilege room, when we complained they put us in a disabled room, which wasn't a privilege room, and had a bath and only one hand rail for toilet. Having complained about the fact my partner couldn't get into a bath and we had paid for a privilege room, the manager gave us the difference between a standard and privilege room. The receptionist told us they don't look at notes from head office, well maybe they should start to, not good enough.

We had a great time at the hotel and enjoyed our dinner on the first night for was excellent but thought the wine wasva bit expensive. The basin in the bathroom was cracked with mastic filing the cracked!! We will definitely stay if price is fine.

As always at Mercure all was good at the hotel, staff were excellent and the rooms were good too. My only concern was parking. I had occassion to move the car when visiting family and when I returned there was no spaces as the carpark is open to the general public. It took me 90 mins to get a space. I suggest priority should be given to your hotel guests.

Well located but they don’t recognise loyalty

Platinum member having now stayed here twice. Reception staff were great and the room upgrade was appreciated. The bar staff are untrained in the Accor loyalty program and do not know how the welcome drink vouchers work. They will send you back to line up at reception to validate them and then argue amongst each other what drink you are entitled to and how big a wine you can have. Tip, forget the free drink and go to one of the numerous local bars within close proximity.

Everything was perfect from room to service from staff apart from the room cards . I was booked for 3 nights and had to get my cards reset everyday and sometimes twice which was extremely frustrating. My card was not kept near my phone
