Great location for exploring Inverness. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food at breakfast and in the restaurant was very good. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Very nice stay for one night but hotel building could use some renovations. Very few electrical outlets in the room. None in the bathroom. But I would stay here again.

More or less friendly welcome. No recognition of ALL status (i.e. welcome drink). Room: "classic", what I booked. Unable to open window. Right in front: rubbish bins. Very, very old carpet, with spots and staines. Same with plastic chair. Desk old, battered and sticky. No drawer, no cupboard with doors , no safe. Only one single socket in the room, so I had to unplug my phone to boil water for a tea. No mentioning about construction site in front of window (neither website, nor at reception) with start of work early morning. I asked if I can pay for an upgrade: 50£ per night. Way too much, the room was already very expensive. Value for money in absolutely no relation (200£ a night). I am very disappointed, this was the worst and most shabby Mercure room I ever saw and I regret booking it.

The hotel is well located in town by the river. The hotel decor is tired and not to the standard we have experienced in other Novotel or Mercure hotels. There is no air con in the rooms and the room safe did not lock. Our room was however clean and comfortable.

Located bang on the river Ness. This one is located a stone's throw from the Cathedral, Victorian markets, the Castle and everything you want in prime Inverness. Also has a car parking facility and opens into both hugh street and the river walk.

Overall, the hotel needs refreshing badly, peeling wallpaper chipped paint, old carpet The breakfast is all fast food style and restaurant isn’t good.
