Had a problem with first part of stay but it was remedied quickly even for tired travelers, they went above and beyond. Upon returning for second part of stay it was average service, rooms clean and confortable.

Very dated and distressed decor. Ancient smelly stained carpets, full of holes near window in my room (510). Lock broken off door. Not suitable for business travel. Decor across the hotel looks 40 years old. Badly needs investment.

Poor lighting. Very limited clothes storage. Sofa looked like it was picked up off the street. Liquid soap in shower but no wash cloths. They know the shower is dangerously slippery, but you have to ash for a rubber floor mat.

The Hotel is located within walk distance of the train station, bus station, pick-up point for Rabbies tours, and many other opportunities. The room was clean and neat and efficient, which is to say not roomy but it worked well in its compactness.

Could not sleep due to the noise from bars and drunks outside the hotel. I paid extra for a premier room, it was dark and needed redecorating, why not have the premier rooms at the back of the hotel overlooking the river, this would be quieter. The use of an app for room service is an unnecessary complication that may be easy for you, but is a tiresome inconvenience for the guest. The member of staff on reception informed me that my order was cancelled due to “a lack of staff to bring food to me”, however speaking to the kitchen staff it was because they did not have a gluten free base. If that had been explained by the receptionist, it would not have been a problem. But by lying to me, he caused a simple problem to turn into a difficult situation.

Receptionist was friendly on check in. Room smelt musty, the desk top was sticky, but the main issue was the street noise. My husband and I got virtually no sleep overnight due to people shouting and cars/bikes revving their engines. There was also poor sound insulation internally eg could hear the hairdryer of room next door and lots of footsteps from above and to sides. We asked to switch rooms at about 11 o’clock when we realised that the town side of the hotel was going to be noisy but despite being diamond members we were told we couldn’t. The river side of the hotel is probably a lot quieter. The breakfast was average, although the waiter looked genuinely flummoxed when asked for plain water and said if you wanted plain water you needed to buy it from the bar??!!

Less than expected for the money since it was rated a four star. Very tired and dated . Bathroom was really tiny and sink was the shallowist ever seen. Breakfast was equally disappointing by way of quality of food’s offered. Lunch as well as club sandwich bread was not even toasted and smothered in mayonnaise.
