Marissa P Families - TripAdvisor review

I’ve stayed in many hotels/motels/hostels and this hotel by far has definitely challenged my travelers adaptability. Besides a good location (near the river, pubs, and train station) this hotel has a fowl odor in the lobby and the hallways (mildew and cigarette smoke). Walls are thin and you can hear everything at all hours of the day. Beds are harder than life & pillows are worse. Stocking of rooms are inadequate (no soap in dispensers, 1 towel, dirty tea/coffee mugs). But the most difficult part of all is that you have to body slam your room door to open. Had to make a call to the front desk to have someone assist us opening the room door for us. The staff was lovely and the view from the room was nice but otherwise, definitely not a travelers paradise.

We paid extra to have a room with a riverside view. The only riverside view in our room was a painting screwed to the ceiling above the bed!

Great location. Reasonable pricing.

Only stayed 1 night with my sons. Booked 2 rooms. Rooms are very clean but also extremely small. Lovely breakfast, staff a bit rushed and neither coffee machine was working but plenty of food and good quality. It is a good location to station and airport. Parking on site is available too.
