Staff we great, food in the bar / lounge area was great. Unique feature with the water running through and being viewable through the glass is cool. However £28 parking for 4 nights in my opinion is really steep considering the car park is tiny and a fight to keep a space. The WiFi is just awful, really bad. And the rooms and corridors are dated, and a little rough around the edges. Bed was fine, pillows were pretty comfy. If it were my choice to stay for pleasure on visit to Perth don’t think I would stay here, but it’s still better than some places that my work would like to put me. For coming here for work, it’s an okay stay, I’m not dissatisfied, it is alright hotel. If the parking and WiFi improved it would be way more satisfying. Even the staff members say the WiFi is poor. I get it’s an old building, but in this day and age, this can be rectified, especially to appeal to a younger demographic. Thanks

Our parking charge is £7 per night, and while our main car park can become busy at times, we do also have an overflow car park located just across the street to provide additional parking spaces for guests. We’re sorry to hear that the WiFi did not meet expectations. We returned to the Mercure Perth having previously stated in 1996. The hotel looks internally and externally as it did then so it could do with a spruce up. The location is good, staff generally friendly, the room was clean and the breakfast plentiful. However, you don’t really expect to find a toilet roll hanging on one side of what was a broken toilet roll holder, which should be a quick and easy repair job. WiFi claims to be high speed but was dreadful. Could just be in particular rooms but we found it intermittent and slow. We had a good one night stay but the hotel really would benefit from a bit of investment.

The hotel is in a superb location but our room was the shabbiest I have stayed in for a long time. Not the standard I would expect from Mercure. Very disappointed even if it was inexpensive; I now know why it didn’t cost much! Rooms at the back of the hotel desperately need refurbished Staff great (particularly on reception & bar)
