Central location and totally let down with the state of bedroom , Frayed carpet and cold , noisy radiator Bathroom needs revamp Won’t return at those prices

Room was cold, area where we ate dinner was freezing, (beside front door) had hot water bottle up my jumper to keep warm, bar staff had woolly scarfs on

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had in my life. Unfortunately, we felt clearly taken advantage of. I am a Silver Member with Accor, and we were told the charge should be £60, yet £72 was taken. When we questioned this, they said “sorry” claiming it was a mistake. When we asked for a refund of the extra amount, we were shocked to be told we would be charged an additional £50 for a late check-out, despite the fact that we had already handed over our luggage. We were explicitly told we had five minutes to leave. My husband immediately left and returned the keys, yet they still insisted on charging us the £50. After a long and frustrating discussion, they said they would not charge the £50, but instead kept the extra £10. On top of all this, we were clearly told that this booking would be registered to our ALL – Accor Live Limitless account, yet it was never added. This was false information, and to this day the stay does not appear in my Accor account. The entire experience was terrible, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing. The lack of transparency and honesty is unacceptable, especially from a hotel that is part of an international chain. Honestly, after this experience, if I see a Mercure hotel anywhere in the world, I will never stay there again.
