Didn’t have high expectations - knowing the hotel from 50+ years ago but oh boy ! Greeted by the F&B manager with her over enthusiastic long winded verbally obtuse greeting ! The room ( a privilege room ) was at the end of a freezing cold corridor . Very old fashioned - no accessible plugs to charge phones etc . A shower over the bath where the shower curtain took over ! Just old and tired really ! A tiny wardrobe space 80% occupied by an ironing board . Then - despite following the instructions from madam talk - the room was not serviced ! At 1.00 am the receptionist offers to see if he could change our room ! What ? We wanted to sleep and just got clean towels and some coffee sachets - but not coffee pods which were locked away . Sunday breakfast at 10.00 has fun out of just about everything hot - replenished but only after a long wait . Evening bar lady ( forging girl ) was excellent but the rest was just not good ! The hotel still feels 50 years old and needs a total refurbishment . Worst Acorr group stay ever and I’m a silver card holder . No special welcome either ! Not good !

It is particularly concerning to learn that your stay did not meet expectations, especially as a valued Silver member of the Accor group. We regret that several aspects of your stay fell short, from the condition and temperature of the corridor, the room layout and lack of accessible power points, to the shower arrangement and limited wardrobe space. We fully understand your comments regarding the overall condition of the hotel, and we recognise that improvements are required. Refurbishment planning is ongoing, and feedback such as yours reinforces the importance of accelerating these discussions. We are especially disappointed to learn that your room was not serviced despite following the advised procedure. This is not the standard we expect, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. The situation regarding the coffee supplies, along with the late suggestion of a room move at 1.00am, understandably added to your frustration, and we appreciate that this was far from an ideal resolution when you simply wanted to rest. Your comments regarding breakfast replenishment on Sunday morning have also been shared with our Food & Beverage team to ensure closer monitoring during busy periods. Please be assured that your feedback will be discussed at our next Heads of Department meeting so that each team can reflect on where we fell short and identify clear actions to prevent similar situations in the future. We are, however, pleased to hear that the evening bar team member made a positive impression, and we will ensure your kind comments are passed on to her. Thank you again for your honest feedback. The staff were all very nice especially the girl on reception when I checked in the room was very comfortable and the food was delicious I will be staying at this hotel again

The place is very tired looking, could do with being refreshed. Breakfast was good, staff were very pleasant. Happy to help with any queries we had.
