We are truly sorry to read about your experience and sincerely apologise that your stay did not meet even the most basic expectations. We regret that you were allocated an accessible room that was not suitable for your needs and located so far from reception. This is certainly not the level of consideration we aim to provide when assigning rooms. We are very concerned to learn about the temperature of the room, the noise from the heating unit, the cleanliness issues you encountered, and the condition of the bathroom facilities. Please accept our sincere apologies for the discomfort this caused you and your daughter, especially given your long journey and early flight. The issues you have described, including the water dripping from the pipes, the odor, and the housekeeping oversight, fall well below our usual standards and will be investigated immediately with our maintenance and housekeeping teams. We are also sorry that you did not receive an appropriate response at check-out. You should have been asked about your stay and offered both an apology and assistance at that time. Dear Caroline, We’re very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Upon your arrival, we informed you that your booking had been cancelled prior to your arrival at the hotel. As per standard procedure, we advised you to contact your booking agency directly to resolve the matter. As a gesture of goodwill, we offered you a reduced rate for your stay and assured you that a refund would be processed once we received the payment from your booking agency. We subsequently contacted the agency ourselves, and they confirmed that the booking had indeed been cancelled in their system. Their platform also showed the reservation as cancelled. Please rest assured that no payment was received by us from the booking agency. The only amount charged was the reduced rate paid directly by you for your stay. We are truly sorry that your booking was cancelled by the agency without your knowledge, and we understand how frustrating this situation must have been. Regards Ibis Team
