Easy and quick check in. Lovely room and comfortable bed. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The only slight downside being close to the airport is the price of food in the on site restaurant, it didn’t spoil our stay but we found it a bit pricey for two pizzas and drinks.

TV service fault which was back up after a few hours. On site food too basic. Felt like they raided the fridge for things. The TV service was just bad luck but improving the menu would be a welcome change if we were to visit again.

Room was an accessible room, but at almost the furthest point from reception. Hardly accessible for anyone who needed it to be (which, luckily, we didn’t. It was just allocated to us). Freezing cold room. The only way to heat it was by a really loud ancient machine. We thought we’d never sleep with it on, so tried without. After two hours of no sleep, the heater was put on. Bathroom did not feel clean and smelled of drains. My daughter had water dropping on her feet from pipes until the washbasin when she brushed her teeth. There was a pubic hair on my bed near the pillow. Shower was room temperature and shoulder height. Bathed no radiator so freezing. We had kept the door shut because of the drains smell. On checkout, I wasn’t asked how the stay was but just advised they shouldn’t allocate the room because of the various difficulties. No real apology, offer of a partial refund or similar. Due to a long journey from the north and an early flight, we could have had a grand total of 3.5hrs sleep, but had so much less.

The issues you have described, including the water dripping from the pipes, the odor, and the housekeeping oversight, fall well below our usual standards and will be investigated immediately with our maintenance and housekeeping teams. We are also sorry that you did not receive an appropriate response at check-out. You should have been asked about your stay and offered both an apology and assistance at that time. This is not reflective of the service we strive to deliver. Your feedback has been shared with the relevant departments so that corrective action can be taken without delay. I had a room booked and fully paid. Arrived to be told cancelled, not bye. Ao made to pat for another room. Then spoke to booking agent who said room not cancelled at all but Ibis Luton marked us an “no shows” so refuse to refund the first room. We have proof of being there from bank transactions and emails from the night. They must also have cctv camera in place Sinead was lovely however

Dear Caroline, We’re very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Upon your arrival, we informed you that your booking had been cancelled prior to your arrival at the hotel. As per standard procedure, we advised you to contact your booking agency directly to resolve the matter. As a gesture of goodwill, we offered you a reduced rate for your stay and assured you that a refund would be processed once we received the payment from your booking agency. We subsequently contacted the agency ourselves, and they confirmed that the booking had indeed been cancelled in their system. Their platform also showed the reservation as cancelled. Please rest assured that no payment was received by us from the booking agency. The only amount charged was the reduced rate paid directly by you for your stay. We are truly sorry that your booking was cancelled by the agency without your knowledge, and we understand how frustrating this situation must have been. Regards Ibis Team
