The staff were so welcoming and friendly. They really seem to enjoy their job and were so accommodating to all the guests. Although basic, (prefabricated hotel),the rooms were very clean and had all we needed for our stay. Only draw back was that the all-you-can-eat breakfast could've been hotter. Location was perfect for shopping, sightseeing and entertainment and we were pleasantly surprised that even though we were so central, there was no disturbance from outside noise at all. We all agreed that we will definitely be booking here again for our next visit to Bristol. 10/10

Great location for visiting Bristol, within walking distance of most things. Dated yet very clean and very comfortable rooms, beds a little on the small side width ways. Very good quality selection of cooked, continental and cold breakfasts made a great start to the day. helpful staff, quick and informal checkin. Highly recommend and would stay again

Room was clean, neat and tidy and staff I dealt with were polite and efficient. Discounted parking is very close, underground and is well lit plus its open 24 hrs.

We arrived in Friday night for a 3 night stay. We were immediately approached by a member of staff who was extremely friendly and very efficient. The room was quite basic but very comfortable with a bathroom and toilet in a pod like cubicle and it was very clean. We had tea and coffee facilities which was unexpected and very welcome. We were there for 3 nights but only had our room cleaned once and change of towels once. The bar was well stocked and was really reasonable. The hotel was in a brilliant central location by the harbourside but wasn't noisy at all. All in all we really liked the hotel and the staff who were really friendly and helpful. the only downside were the beds which my friend and I found really uncomfortable, therefore I marked it down on that.

One big issue

I was staying in a room with a double bed but the bed was made up with two single mattresses which repeatedly moved apart during the night leading to a very poor night's sleep on this occasion.

Hotel is in a central area but the rooms are not that great. Very basic furniture. The pillows had a weird unpleasant smell. For the price I paid I expected a bit more than that. The windows were blocked by large panels and the view was towards a parking lot. I didn't enjoy staying in the room at all. The bathroom was a separate module made of plastic that made the whole room look cheap and tacky. The decor and the lights made the room look really dark and unpleasant.

Mattress and pillows were too hard. Staying on the 4th floor was unacceptable during building work. One teabag supplied in a double room. Reception staff were helpful and friendly, bar service was good and bar facilities were comfortable.

Great staff let down by poorly maintained building. When is a bed not a bed?

Complaints including a bathroom door with which wouldn't close due to a faulty hinge were taken on board by the reception staff but never addressed over our 3-day stay. I booked 2 twin rooms, one was OK (apart from the door), the other which was disabled accessible had a double bed and a bed settee; sorry but I'm not stopping at my mates house, I've paid for a bed. An extra bed through a bed-settee is OK in a Travel Lodge family room but not at full price when you've booked a twin. I asked for at least a spare mattress or preferably a single bed as there was room and lots of beds in the stair wells due to a refurb of the 4th floor. You can probably guess that though this was "handed-over", nothing happened and no explanation for why not was offered. There was also blood on the disabled grab rail by the loo, not just a drop, a spattering over around 3" by 1". All of the above was raised to staff and I can evidence the blood (as I did to the staff). Finally, the breakfast variety was good and I was amazed the small breakfast area was never full, in fact, some of the hot buffet could do with being in smaller quantities so that it would be refreshed quicker. Hot buffets are best when they are frequently replenished.

Perfect. The room was fine - smaller than some but who needs a big hotel room when you only sleep in it! All fixtures and fittings were new and clean and wi-fi was perfect. Breakfast was limited but again, you get what you pay for - for us it had everything we needed.

Easy to book, great location, staff superb and friendly. Sadly my room was occupied on arrival (I had pre-paid) so I have no idea why the system allowed that to happen. I was compensated with a free drink as it happened. Breakfast was slightly let down by the cheap tasting sausages. I don't know why in this country we are hell-bent on judging breakfast on the quality of the sausages but it's a fact that we do. In the case of this visit, they were not that great.

We have stayed here 2 nights on the 4th floor. The hotel location is great. 10-15 min walk to shopping centre and local atractions. Room nice and spotless cleaned. Front desk staff friendly and polite. Easy check in and check out. Housekeeping supervisors who worked on the 23.11 were great. Sorted our request immediately. Comfy bed, great hot shower. Breakfast has loads of options. Highly recommended hotel. Will definatelly return in the future. Thanks guys for making our stay.
