Stayed for one night with family, very conveniently located for the Bristol Beacon and central Bristol shopping centres. It’s surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants which did make it a little noisy at night but I would expect that in any city centre hotel. The hotel is basic and the rooms are quite small but they were modern and clean although the beds in the twin room were narrow and not great for our sons who are both 6’ 2” more suited to children. The bathrooms are pods similar to caravan bathrooms but was a good size and no complaints with the large shower cubicle. There was a good selection of continental and hot buffet for breakfast. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful. The only thing that was disappointing was the parking, on the website it guides you to a discounted car park which should have cost £10/day unfortunately when we arrived at the hotel we were told that this was no longer available and had to pay the full price of £20/day. All that said it was really close to the hotel.

Found this to be my most impersonal hotel experience. Reception not very welcoming. No way of contacting them with a query except a messaging service: which they took 12 hours to reply to (daytime, weekday). LOT of outside noise & a TV with really poor sound on it. Bathroom was 100% plastic & claustrophobic. Clean but just really soulless, felt a lot more budget than the price I paid. Won’t be using again.

We found parts of the room to not be cleaned to a good standard and even though I had e-mailed about dietary requirements prior to our stay they were not catered for at all.

Not our best experience at this ibis, was given a really horrible room, considering I'm a club member (obviously complete marketing bullshit) and booked months ago, I didn't think rooms like this existed within Ibis. We initially didn't have time to go down to reception to ask for another room, but the thought of having to stay the night in the room, made me cut my evening short(leaving my husband at the event) in order to hopefully change rooms. The room change was relatively painless, but not how I planned on spending my time in Bristol. The room they eventually give us was what we would normally expect from Ibis, basic but with a bit of quirkyness. The first looked like something they would rent out by the hour. We were also given wrong information re parking, an email telling us we would need to pre book parking to get the their deal with the carpark didn't actually start until 18th Nov, 4 days after our stay, so ended up paying twice and 3 times more than we expected.
