Satisfactory. The manager and staff were very friendly and pay attention to our concern. I am particularly grateful to the manager who took upon himself to ensure we had a good stay. Great location but terrible room

Located right at the heart of the city, but the room is small, old and a little bit dirty. The single used cup in the room was clearly being used before. But the staffs were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Base for train ride

We stayed here for a long day trip on the train starting at 5am and finishing at Midnight. The hotel was a short walk from New Street station so we could catch our train easily. It was very convenient for lots of Chinese restaurants, we just popped next door for a lovely meal. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely, kind and helpful. The hotel is very near the night clubs so can be noisy late evening unless you keep the windows closed.

Overall staff and welcome very good. Only concern was finding a used bloody plaster stuck on the wall next to the bed!! Yuck. Did make me wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the room/hotel. Other than that area a little dodgy but ideal if you are going to a gig at the 02 Academy.

The staff here are lovely, but let down by a building that needs improvement. The door of my room brushed the end of the bed in entrance, it was so small. The flooring is an awful brown carpet tile like a Brillo pad, and fixtures were damaged, so cupboards had big chunks missing out of the MDF, just looked old and unloved.

Great price. Great service. Good hotel. Room sufficient. Stayed Fir / Sat nights. Woke up to a murder feet from the front of the hotel on Saturday morning (that is not your fault!). 3 night clubs surrounding the hotel, had to sleep with the TV on to drown out the music and Police sirens (not your fault). Your agreement with the multi story car park across the road is not working (especially on Sundays) is not working. You need to look into that. That caused quite some stress on leaving.

The receptionists on shift on the Wednesday (around 5pm ) was amazing customer service, so very kind. I would definitely recommend stay here, I stayed here for 5 weeks for business purposes, reasonable price.

The room was not completely clean. We had to request the floor to be hoovered. It was incredibly hot. Our room overlooked bars and nightclubs and the noise went on into the early hours.

Small and very hot room

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at

The worst hotel I’ve booked and stayed at. Check in was from 3pm and on my online check in form I said we would be arriving between 3-5pm. When we arrived at the hotel at 4pm we were told that the couple before us were still in our room and had late check out until 5pm and we would have to wait until they’d left to check in to our room. As 3 young girls who had been on a train all day travelling for a concert that evening we were shocked to find we’d have to wait until 6:30pm to enter our room as it took an hour and a half to clean!!! Once in our room it was very basic and the fan did not work, the room was stuffy and the window only opens around 10cm so no air can get in. The next morning we had a shower which flooded our bathroom and the bedroom as the shower does not have a lip on so the water runs straight out onto the floor resulting in only 2 of us being able to shower as the water had come so high in the bedroom it was close to the sockets. Breakfast again was basic. Hard hash browns, bread and not toast and no vegetarian option. You can ask for eggs which we did and you are brought out 1 single egg so there’s not much point. The receptionist in the morning however was lovely and so was her supervisor who both seemed genuinely shocked about our experience and were very accommodating.

Disappointing. Room was excessively hot with the air con doing little to cool it. Location left a lot to be desired. As a lone female I chose this hotel as it advertised close to the station, what it didn't advise is that this hotel was situated in an area which left me feeling quite concerned to walk alone

The rooms are very small soon as we stepped into the room we nearly fell on the bed because the rooms are small. We kept having trouble with the card to get in the lift to go upstairs (same with other guests) also we had trouble getting into our room a few times so kept having to go downstairs to reception for a new card which was very frustrating. I’ve never had so much trouble staying in a hotel before as much as we did in the ibis. So sorry we won’t be staying in these hotels again.

Stayed here at the end of August/beginning of September. Very clean and comfortable and I slept well. A few minor annoyances and an overpriced breakfast keep it out of the 9/10 rating for me.

Great location, rooms basic but clean and bed comfortable. Only issue was noise, hotel had several stag and hen parties due to its location by The Arcadian Centre. We thought it was strange the room came with complimentary earplugs but we soon found out why. As well as the noise from guests throughout the night you can hear the music from the bars too. Will not stay again

The hotel is basic and quite burlesque downstairs in my view. Even though the bed had a topper on it I would have got more sleep on a plank of wood. Had some sort of cooling system in room which was hopeless but thankful for the fan to help cool the room. Staff on front desk were great though
