Room an hotel was way too hot. Even with the small room window open as far as it could go and heating turned down as low as it could it was still sweltering.

Location was perfect as we came for German Market and then comedy club. Staff greeting on arrival was good, though a bit strange how check in is done in the doorway- felt a bit in the way.... Overpowering air freshener smell in the room was a bit off putting and bathroom very small- ok for us, but I would imagine a bit of a struggle for an overweight person. Have no idea where the hotel car park is- saw no signs for it. Would stay again purely for location.

After paying for early check in was confronted with a member of staff who told me no rooms were available and blatantly didn't care. Was told to come back at 2pm and when I said the whole point was to get ready to meet a friend I hadn't seen in 6 months he said I should change in the bathroom. He relented and told me it would be 10 minutes then I waited over an hour and was still charged for early check in even though he said it would be taken off the bill. The room was ridiculously hot even with the air con turned on full and combined with the room vibrating until 0330 due to a nightclub being 20ft away and being unable to open the window due to outside being a gathering spot for everyone from the nightclub to chat and smoke we had a horrible night. If any of this has been in the description when booking I would have gone elsewhere. We had the most awful nights sleep due to being way to warm and not being able to sleep until almost 4am when the room stopped vibrating from the nightclub music. As I'd done the online check out and payment no one was interested in hearing any of this, it wasn't in their remit. Absolutely disgusted, horrendous stay, never again, total waste of money and a ruined reunion due to being so tired. The reason these things weren't reported at the time was due to the fact it was late by the time we realised the room would just not cool down, the music in the nightclub did not start until late as its the case with nightclubs and I'd already been told on arrival the hotel was fully booked that night which made a late night complaint pointless. However, I did expect some kind of response or reaction to both of my complaints which has not been forthcoming. This is my third complaint as I emailed the first and spoke to staff for the second and if I don't hear back within 72 hours I shall be adding this as a review to Trip Advisor and other review websites as you've done nothing to rectify this situation. I've previously stayed at Ibis and had great stays hence why I booked this time. However, my view is now 100% tainted at this point in time and I will no longer stay or recommend, which I have often done.

The hotel offered us what we needed; large, comfortable and clean accommodation in the vicinity of the City centre. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the atmosphere was very informal. The The location of the hotel meant that despite being on the fourth floor, the noise from the street was considerable and continued until after 3.00 am. We were happy with our stay but thought it was rather expensive.

The rooms were descent and service was fine. Walls thin and was woken early doors by other guests in the halls. But the big issue for us was that the menu stated all food was available 24/7 any time of day. We got back after a night out expecting to get food off the menu so we chose to not get food on route back to hotel. To then be told the only thing they could provide us was a cheese toastie. Which was awful!!! Very disappointing

We checked in late afternoon before going out for the evening with friends. Staff were friendly and welcoming. However on returning from our night out we went up to our room and it was so noisy it was unbelievable. Our room overlooked a courtyard of nightclubs and the noise level was unbelievable, we might as well of been in the clubs ourself as the bass was so strong and loud that you could feel it through the floor. 4.15am it finally went quiet. I would never stay here again on a Friday or Saturday night.

There are not enough staff, the staff that were there were rushed off their feet and not providing good customer service. There was no clear reception area, nor was anyone in the reception area on our arrival. The requests asked for on booking were ignored. the room itself was tired, more like student accommodation than a room that cost approx £150 per night.
