The hotel staff are normally extremely friendly and helpful, sadly the bedroom l stayed in was old, smelled of damp and the carpet to the left of the bed was damp and badly water stained. I did ask the staff about being moved but was told the hotel was full and there was nothing they could do!. I pointed out the towels were thread bare and needed changing and was told they would get housekeeping to change - this didn’t happen. This was very disappointing as it cost £268.00 for the weekend and really wasn’t good value for money.

However, I am sincerely sorry to learn about the issues you experienced in your room, including the condition of the bedroom and the towels. I understand that you requested to be moved, but unfortunately, we were unable to accommodate you due to full occupancy. I have stayed at this hotel before and have always been happy with my stay. We always book this hotel because of location/value for money and the big selling point LATE CHECK OUT. Sadly this time we had cleaners knocking from 9am on numerous occasions and letting themselves in to both rooms i booked. We may as well have had an early check out !!
