Overall, the hotel and bar / breakfast very good. However, the bed was very poor - probaly the worst we have had in an accor hotel. THis is unusual for this hotel - not sure what happened.

The location and view from the room could not have been better. We also enjoyed the variety and quality of the breakfast offerings. We did however feel the pillows were very hard and the plug placement in the room wasn’t great. I knew i may not be able to park due to the limits but I did spend 5 minutes stood in the rain waiting for someone to answer to tell me the car park was full, i feel an electric or manual sign should be added to tell guests when it is full, this would also take some pressure off your staff trying to answer it with a queue of people trying to check in.

I booked this hotel using my Accor Heartist card and, having stayed at many Accor properties worldwide, this was by far the worst. I can usually overlook dated rooms if the staff, atmosphere, and overall experience are good — but this hotel had none of that. From arrival, the service was poor. The receptionist, Alexandra, was dismissive and uninterested, which unfortunately set the tone for the stay. The rooms were grubby, mouldy, and generally unpleasant — not somewhere I felt comfortable sleeping. I’m not fussy, but the cleanliness was unacceptable. The only positive was the evening staff member who checked us in and served at the bar. She was polite, helpful, and a genuine credit to the hotel. The next morning, my elderly, disabled grandmother discovered her shower didn’t work. Three of us checked — it was definitely broken. The bathroom itself was filthy, consistent with the rest of the room. When my mum raised this with Alexandra, she said there was no duty manager until 1pm. The only solution offered was to move my disabled grandmother to a non-accessible room at 10am on checkout day — completely pointless. Breakfast was the final straw. My Heartist card was refused, so we left and ate elsewhere. We asked for a duty manager to contact us. No one did. When we later raised a formal complaint, we received only a vague apology and no compensation. The hotel is poorly run and clearly does not meet Accor standards. I will not return.
