Overall an excellent choice - central location, spotless, friendly staff (especially Raju @ breakfast and {French?} woman on Reception) but wifi kept crashing in our room (maybe as it was too far from central area?). When I queried this by email, the response was unsympathetic with no evidence they had investigated so we had to go to bar area each time to use wifi. Unsacceptable for a 3-day stay.

I’ve stayed at Ibis New Street numerous times over the years and I’ve always enjoyed my stays and the service from the team has been consistently great each and every visit. The hotel is fairly priced, conveniently located, with comfortable and spacious rooms offering all necessary amenities - I highly recommend to anyone visiting Birmingham looking for a decent hotel at a decent price in a central location.

The room was all I needed for the night. But as with all the all accore hotels I have visited and had breakfast, there was no plate warmer so I needed to gobble down my meal or eat it cold!!

Reception staff were efficient and helpful. One of them noticed I left my phone on the reception desk and managed to run over to me before the lift closed to hand it back to me :-) Although the room was a bit dated and needed a little TLC, it was fine and I slept well.

We booked a twin not a double but we're still given a double (even though we are mother and adult son). Were told on the night the hotel was full AND due to a flood some rooms weren't avaliable ans that it was late, however the next day when checking out the other receptionist didn't know anything about a flood and said the hotel was not full!
