Basic Ibis hotel within walking distance to York town Centre with a car park. Sadly my stay was spoiled by drunken, selfish, inconsiderate idiots. They were removed by the police at 3a.m so if you don’t want to sleep on a park bench after over indulging on drink and drugs don’t behave like a numpty as it won’t be tolerated at Ibis.

the hotel is really good value for money (at under £50), but it looks a bit old and tired. It is very clean, but the reception stuff were not too helpful when it came to WiFi not working. rooms are a bit small, but not too bad. also, you can hear people from other rooms.

The staff were lovely at the York Ibis. My only complaint is that, because of coronavirus, the hotel was pretty much empty (the staff told me that) but I was in a room directly next to someone and I could hear their TV late at night, telephone conversation and snoring. With so few rooms being occupied, it would have been possible to have an empty room between each guest.

Conveniently located (near Micklegate) for the train station. Pleasant public areas. Room was older in style than typical Ibis hotels but comfortable. A lot of noise from the room next door.

Given a room on the third floor. So small when you opened door, the door hit the bed! Given another room bathroom door did not shut. No telephone and bad wet patch on carpet. Too embarrassed to complain again.

One night stay .... room adequate toilet ran all night and would not flush ... my friend had to flush the toilet with water from waste bin we filled tap .... would not stay again

The Ibis York is an ideal budget hotel for the city. Easily walkable into the popular areas. We had a large four bed room which was ideal for a couple with two small children (4&7). Staff were very friendly nd helpful. Parking is limited but there is a public Carpark across the road and 50m down. (Staff can direct)

Great location, superb staff room quality v poor. Fixtures and fittings broken or very tired. Botched patching of hole in bathroom ceiling and mould on the wall let the place down badly

Close to railway station and town centre. A selection of pubs and restaurants very close by. Was very disappointed on our first evening. Bought a drink at the bar, it was in a dirty glass, went back was given a clean glass and the drink from dirty glass just poured into the new glass!! Really disgusting didn’t drink it obviously

Staff at the reception were great ,very friendly & attentive. Nice reception waiting area with a nice fire ,unfortunately the rooms & corridors are a let down . The rooms were clean & tidy ,but the decor extremely dated . Wood chip wallpaper ?? I mean who in this day & age still has wood chip & the colour scheme was stuck in the same era . Windows cold & draughty even with the heating on. The bathroom & room are definitely in need of a full refurb . Definitely not premier inn . The corridors up to the room had no heating & you could see your breath .

Scruffy very poor breakfast

The staff were very nice and friendly. The hotel is quite scruffy very thin carpets and even thinner walls. The cleaning is not very good dust everywhere. Paper cups in the room and only wood sticks instead of spoons. The breakfast was very poor over done hard tasteless and not a lot of it. My partner had to ask 3 times for some fresh food in the end we give up and got a breakfast elsewhere. Defiantly not worth the money I was very disappointed just wanted to go home.
