We were looking to book 5 rooms for our family of 11 on the same floor so that the younger members (7 and 9) could visit family members without using lifts or stairs. Paula Mara managed our group booking very efficiently and made sure all went well. We asked for the use of a room where we could gather after dinner and got the use of a small conference room for two nights. Great food, great rooms - a great 80th birthday celebration for me! Thanks for the balloons and treats in our room.

I booked 3 rooms on 27th May for Sat 19th October. I was ASSURED over the phone, the direct hotel line, that because we had 3 teenage girls who were going to share a family room, this room would be next to one of the double rooms we booked. This was not the case. The room was half way down the corridor from the other 2 rooms, which were next to the lift / stairs, the noise from the door banging went on until after 3am. Bearing in mind that when I booked the room, I also stated that we were staying overnight for 2 of the adults to run the York marathon the day after, this was not the best preparation.
