I stayed here for one night in December 2025. The hotel is located just off one of the main roads into York and has a large carpark (the daily charge is 17 GBP). The hotel is about a 10-minute walk into the centre of town. The room was fine with all the usual amenities. Overall the hotel is what one would expect of a Novotel, although I would hesitate recommending this hotel for business purposes. The lobby was a bit noisy and hectic and at one time there was a dog walking around without a leash - not a professional image.

Once again the room was cold .This has been an ongoing problem at this Hotel for years. Once again we had to ask for an electric heater, Also we went out and purchased an additional one. unacceptable to say the least. Even the smart tv did not have a network connection. Disappointed to be to be honest. When you spend £950 for three nights, and its not up to what it should be. The staff work very hard in this hotel they was all lovely. We spoke to other people staying at the same time, who also had cold rooms was not just us. I was going to complain, but didn't want to spoil our break so near Christmas. The food in restaurant and bar was very nice.

Staff on reception took forever to work out what I was saying to them, and then even longer to retrieve my bag. Upon getting to the room the TV then wouldn’t work, stayed here many times, by far the least enjoyable stay out of them all!!
