Our stay was not worth the price we paid. It was extortionate for a 1 night stay. I would understand if it was very central to York but we still had to get an Uber to the hotel. The fact we paid the price we did and no breakfast was included either was appalling. There was also very loud noises from the staff working through the night, which you could hear in the early hours, and lasted for hours too. This included banging, slamming doors and water pipes being used. Very disappointed in the price that we paid, for very little sleep and comfort.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am very sorry to read that your stay did not meet your expectations and that you experienced disturbance during the night. Having reviewed your reservation, I can see that your booking was made late in the day, just before arrival. On occasions when we are down to our final room availability, prices can be higher and reflect demand. The date of your stay was also a particularly popular night in York, and our rates were comparable with other hotels in the area at that time. I do appreciate that this can feel disappointing, especially for a one-night stay. Regarding breakfast, our room rates are offered both with and without breakfast included, allowing guests to choose the option that best suits them. I am sorry if this was not clear at the time of booking. I would also like to apologies for the noise you experienced overnight. I am not certain which team you were referring to, as there should not have been any staff working on the guest floors after your arrival. The only team member scheduled during the night would have been a public-area cleaner, but I am sorry if any activity caused disruption to your rest. Your comments have been noted and shared with the team so we can ensure we remain mindful of noise levels during the evening. We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and I am sorry that your stay was not as comfortable as it should have been. Kind regards Peter

Nice place to stay, well located to walk into town (10mins). A little tired in places and oir room was cold
