Stayed with a friend for a night away and found the hotel needs some tlc. Run down in areas. Bar prices very expensive for it being out of town. More expensive than Edinburgh which ruined it i felt.

Room 119 clean. Windows single pain ice and water inside of room, breakfast was awful greasy, choice limited and juice was watered down so much it hardly tasted as orange juice. Bar prices are more expensive than Edinburgh rose street!!

I had the chicken tagliatelle which was too big a portion and quite expensive for what it was. The room decor needs updating. My mum cut her leg on the metal clasp which held the bed together (just on the side). The shower did not work. Reception lady was very helpful with a plaster.

We had booked the hotel as we were down to do Christmas shopping. The hotel was perfectly situated, the food and drink was good too. Staff were always very polite. The huge bed was an added bonus!

I wont be returning to this hotel, it was grubby, there were holes in carpets, extractor fan in bathroom was filthy. generally an unpleasant experience

Stayed here to do some Christmas shopping, the staff were great very friendly and the food was very good. The rooms are a good size and clean .the hotel looks a bit tired but would stay here again .

Stay was ok but rooms a bit tired looking. Restaurant very over priced. My son ordered a steak which was inedible, very fatty and chewy. The peppercorn sauce more like a gravy. The lounge area looked inviting but the restaurant had the look of a working mans club/social club. Very outdated and in need of fresh coat of paint, new curtains, carpet and furniture. Staff all very pleasant. There was an altercation during the night which kept my son awake - the police had to attend.

we ate in the restaurant it was amazing. The rooms we had where not close to each other. The rooms where very dated.

Enjoyed my stay, good parking, good check in and good room. Hotel is also in a very good location close to good shopping areas and in commuting distance to Edinburgh. One night dinner was included and was ok but would not have been impressed if I was paying for it. Over priced. Breakfast was very disappointing a Scottish Breakfast was advertised including tatie scones and haggis but got hash browns and cremated black pudding, very English. Also item were lukewarm at best and eggs horrible.

Great location for a shopping trip

We had a girls shopping to the outlet and booked an overnight stay with DBB at the hotel. We arrived in at 5.30 quickly checked in and given a time of 6pm for dinner which was ideal. Food was delicious. Our only complaint was the fact that we were charged £12.00 for 4 very small scoops of ice cream which we added to our desserts.
