Expected things to be different and they were, staff as helpful as always but food choice and standard poor, rooms could do with a face-lift especially bathroom

We needed to stay in Swansea for a funeral so location was a key aspect for us choosing the Mercure. The restaurant and lounge were decorated to a good standard and the staff were very friendly. The rooms was very disappointing and not up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel.

Although the property was a trek as it was very far from the city centre, it was quite comfortable. The arrangements were good and most importantly 'contactless'. We had no issues checking in. The room was quite good. I had requested for a big bed and was glad that it was taken care of. Only one thing: the toilet exhaust was not working, reported it to the reception, once that is fixed the room should be great for the next guest. Really appreciate the way they had the iron and board in the room, showed that the staff did think of the guests' comfort. I will recommend this place and will definitely visit soon.

Stay was pleasant, quiet, staff friendly, breakfast selection sheet was not very user friendly the way it was done, I believe this was probably due to the Covid19 regulations, however breakfast was enjoyable.

Everything went smoothly during these difficult times and you had adopted good and clear signage on social distancing. Experience was different but still very enjoyable. Breakfast was good. Staff were all lovely, pleasant and approachable. Will definitely be back.

Overall okay experience, covid restrictions meant I preferred meals in room, 3x during 10 day stay I had to chase missing meals. Rooms tired and showers grubby. Staff very young and friendly.

We stayed here a few years ago. Hotel interior is outdated now. Unfortunately I can say my own bedroom and bathroom are nice than the one we stayed in. No air conditioning. Bed and pillows were rock hard. Being a pet friendly hotel we brought our dog. Upon entering our room it appeared clean. The floor had 8 large stains and we found a sharp plastic pen or needle used for a small computer console. A black mark was also on the quilt cover. Bottom of the bathroom door was broken and the edge of the bath was missing tiles. The tea and coffee sachets weren't replaced each day so we had to go up the road to Greggs for tea.

Hotel is built for small company conferences. Location is ok for Morriston Hospital (10-15 minute drive). Room ok, pillows dreadful though. Dubious stain on carpet (rooms are dog friendly so.... a few stains) and although we declined a move (only had a twin room) it wasn’t cleaned during our 2 night stay. Very very loud door slams if people are not considerate. Lake side is more green (trees block view so don’t expect to see it)
