Disappointing stay this time though breakfast was great

We stayed in a privilege room and were disappointed by the fact that there was no phone in this room. The new kettle was of a strange shape that made it difficult to fill with water. We had to ask for coffee pods for the special coffee maker as there weren't any available. Luckily they rectified this immediately. Surely rooms should be checked before?

Lovely venue

Aj Families - Confirmed reviews ALL

Room Minimalist. No drinking water available- a bottle of water per room and a water dispenser on each floor, plus a drinks vending machine would be great. Window stuck closed, doesn’t seem they are opened, housekeeping please open windows to air rooms when cleaning, especially as some Covid precautions still needed before room occupancy. Photos on website for gym/pool, but closed for ?repairs/ permanently, no notice given.

Relaxed and looked after

I had a great 2 day stay and the staff were very accommodating and helpful at all times. The service was excellent as was the food at breakfasts and in the evenings. We really appreciated the relaxed bar area where the whole family could relax. They only niggle is that there is no bitter available at the bar except for a few bottles of doombar which soon ran out. Hence my 9 rather than 10 for the review. Lager and cider are too gassy for me. My thanks to all rhe staff for a wonderful stay
