Restaurant was not well organised and manic. We hit a bad time with cycling event people staying. Food not brilliant. Service by staff polite and helpful.

Although not situated in the town , if you have a car it is much better value - the reception and lounge area lovely and modern decor - welcoming friendly staff - clean room and very comfortable bed, the real downside is the menu - overpriced for what appears to be frozen chips, burgers, etc - basic pub grub - no chef skills , £16.00 for flavourless dry burger in bun with oven chips and a small ramekin of coleslaw - Also wine is a copmplete rip off - basic wine by the bottle £25.00 plus .....

Had a pleasant nights stay at the hotel. Room was nice and big, although it was in need of some updating and decorating. The facilities were good and the shower and bath was fantastic, one of the best for temperature and pressure. The Bar and restaurant area was pleasant and comfortable. The bar needs to have a better selection of beers and spirits on offer as I felt it was quite limited, especially beer. Unfortunately we felt the the food was quite average, and a little over priced, we were expecting it to be better. However the staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming, and were a credit to your hotel.

A good experience, clean comfortable Quiet room , menu for dinner good particularly carvery, prices acceptable. Good breakfast selection. Meal Booking service hit and miss, one evening having told the waiter we had arrived at our booked time he then proceeded to forget about us and many other people arrived and were seated before us. ( by other more attentive staff) He did apologise but very frustrating and poor service.

Really enjoyed the location of the hotel being so close to lots of shops/business park and food places. Off the beaten track away from the beach side so was nice and quiet. Bed was one of the most comfiest hotel beds I’ve slept on which is usually an issue for my back but not here. Lovely bar and plentiful parking, friendly and helpful staff. Swimming pool/gym area does need work, very poor lighting and space overall - gym equipment hanging out in the pool area, no chairs or tables to put your swim things on. But Pool temp was nice and heated. No air conditioning but a fan is provided.

Just had one night away when meeting up for friends in the local area. The booking was originally made over a year ago for a school reunion that was subsequently cancelled due to COVID. Grateful that Mercure kept the booking open for us even when there was a mix-up on dates and we were technically a “no-show” on one occasion. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming and checking-in was a breeze. Room was comfortable and clean and well stocked with tea and coffee making items. The bar staff were friendly and the bar area comfortable. We did not eat at the hotel as we already had a meal booked with friends elsewhere. Breakfast was superb

We had a love time at the hotel the staff at reception and breakfast were superb. However, the bathroom was dated, the small bed for my daughter wasn't confortable!

Great hotel for visiting Swansea, just on the outskirts and only a few miles away. Hotel ver comfy, good excellent, and the service from all the hotel staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. It was a lovely base for visiting Swansea for a break.

Staff was good and friendly but in the room the flow of water from shower was poor, even in one room the shower hose was leaking. No telephone in room 259 so could not get any room service. Both days in the morning when we went for the breakfast we saw someone in eating area walking with a dog both days.

The service was amazing. The room had issues. Sink and bath filling up as the waste pipe wasn't good enough. The lights in the room didn't work properly but when I rang reception I was told that they are fully booked therefore we can't change the room. Me & my other half was stuck in this room for three nights!

Grubby expensive Hostel! Bathrooms dirty ceiling fallling in! Breakfast in smelly room as couldn’t get a table in restaurant! This was a nice Hotel in 1980 but hasn’t been touched since , needs knocking down and re building!

From start to finish everything about the service was so bad. The staff were rude, and the rooms were not well maintained and infact quite dirty. I would strongly avoid! Not worth £290 for 2 nights :(
