Had to complain about the disgusting state of my room on the first night, was asked to provide photos for the houseeping manager and was moved to a better room. But no feedback or any further comment from the hotel after suppying the photos. The breakfast was also poor - not much choice and the fried eggs were like rubber on two of the three mornings.

Booked for a short stay and from booking our room with the Manager Ian Harding-Jones to leaving the hotel our whole experience as always was as we would expect from the professional staff at the Mercure, nothing is too much to ask. And our Pointer dog had a wonderful stay too with residents and staff making a fuss of him. Highly recommended !

As a lone traveler, safety and friendliness are key when away from home and the Mercure can’t be beaten I have stayed at a number of hotels in the area but keep returning to the Mercure because of the great staff. In truth the rooms corridors are a bit tired and could do with updating but that said it provides everything you need as a business traveler. Thanks to all who continue to make my time at the hotel a hone away from home.

The staff were all very pleasant, but I felt the hotel was tired, and the room felt like that of a dated B&B, not a modern chain hotel. I visit swansea quite regularly but thought I would try this hotel for a change.

A two night stay to afford us a ‘nostalgia trip’ to Langland bay, Mumbles and Fforestfach. The hotel is very conveniently located yet suitably secluded; it is comfortable, clean, and we enjoyed excellent food. When next visiting the area, we would stay again.

The customer service from most of the staff was excellent. So was the quality of breakfast and food in the restaurant. The creaking floor boards when walking across the lobby and in the rooms was disappointing. The rooms also appeared to be basic and dull when the rate charged is considered.

Room was fine and asked for a quiet room, and the room was indeed quite. However, walking around the room, the floorboards were very noisy (not good for those underneath). Ate in restaurant, food was ok but a bit pricey for what it was. It was also very cold in both the bar area and restaurant as the main door is constantly opening an closing as it's very open plan. Would have tried the pool and gym but you need a code to get through the door, unfortunately there was a large queue at reception so didn't bother waiting. Overall though the stay was fine.

A pleasant stay. Room was clean and warm, but could have benefited from an uplift. I've stayed in better rooms at this hotel. Staff were polite and helpful as always. Breakfast was very good. Pet friendly hotel with ample parking. Will stay again.

Felt the bedroom could have a bit of an update it was very tired looking also the table was very shaky it felt very cold when you sat by the window as there was a draft also only one chair provided had to ring for further chair as we were a couple in the room and the hotel knew this before we arrived Very noisy in the upstairs rooms felt ther were a herd of elephants running around floor boards in the corridor very scweeky need to be looked at The seating area was also very drafty and you also need a few more comfortable easy chairs not so low they are not suitable for elderly people especially people who have disability
