A great location for a business trip to Swansea. You wouldn't realise that you were in the middle of an industrial area. The restaurant served great food, and the staff we great. The rooms are a bit tired, but were clean. My only criticism would be that the beds are way to hard.

Nice room ,excellant breakfast,warm swimming pool would book again.

Been travelling to this hotel for nearly 20 years so have seen it go through a number of stages some not so good, but I have to say that now it is a great place to stay has all the amenities I look for the furnishings are lovely and the people couldn't be more helpful and friendly, so I love staying here when I am away working.

Its fair to say there have ben a few ups and downs in terms of cycles of refurbishment, and the make up of the team over the years, though |I do believe that we are at the top of the curve at the moment, with a great product and probably the best team we have had here since the late eighties. Hopefully we can hang on to them as they do seem to get a lot a repeat bookers back, and you know you have a good team when people complain about a staff member being on holiday when they stayed as happened last week ! Room clean & bed comfortable, but creaky floorboards extremely annoying!! Evening meal in restaurant nice but expensive - although this is the same for most hotels. Very helpful restaurant staff on Sunday evening checked with kitchen to ensure we were able to have breakfast on Monday from 6:30, as we needed to be in the office from 7:00 when breakfast would normally start.

The Receptionist was very welcoming and efficient and took the trouble to respond positively to my request for a quiet room.. The room was well appointed and very clean and tidy. Only minor grouse was the "armchair" in the room would be better suited to a doctor's waiting room as it was not really of a design that to allowed relaxation. Breakfast offering was good and extensive and efficiently ran. Overall the stay was fine and suited my purpose. However in a hotel of this size and design can seem somewhat impersonal but all staff I met were helpful and pleasant - this helps!!

We were given a warm friendly welcome when we check in. Our room was clean and comfortable and everything that we needed was available. There was a good choice on the Restaurant menu and reasonably priced Breakfast was self service with plenty of choice. The waiting team were really helpful and friendly making a good overall experience. In the morning l met the room service team while taking my dog for his morning walk. They greeted me with a good morning and a pleasant smile. The receptionist was really helpful while checking out giving some useful information on the local area and some deals the the Hotel offered The Hotel is conveniently situated making trips to the city, the Gower,M4 easy. I was so impressed with the Hotel. I have Joined the Mercure / accor Club We will certainly be staying there in the future.

Pillows hard and lumpy toilet, not flushing properly and duvet too heavy. Dinner was half cooked tough lamb with very el dente vegetables other meal was chicken with some bacon inside that was 'off' and very funny tasting mixed vegetables (went to room and was immediately sick). Breakfast items were missing off counter and bacon stone cold. Health suite good but not told about lockers in changing rooms for personal items.

Very enjoyable stay at the Mercure. Service was excellent throughout and the location ideal for work. The beds were a little uncomfortable would be my only negative comment. Came away with a bad back - although I am sure that's as much to do with age as anything.

All staff were very friendly and helpful to all requests. Chris in maintenance was very good in knowing what was happening in and around Swansea and also gave directions was never an issue to help us. Christina serviced our room most days and you could tell the days she did because it was great.

Staying away by myself due to work, it is great to be able to stay in a hotel that makes you feel welcomed, with basic gym equipment and a pool to ensure that I can stick to a healthier life style. However I do not tend to use the restaurant due to lack of healthy meal choices. so eat in my room. be great addition to offer Baked Potatoes rather than chips, or better selection of salad and veg.

hotel was lovely, I've stayed a few times now and always friendly staff, restaurant has great food and the corporate rooms were quite good as well. everyone was always willing to help and made the stay very nice the only thing that lets them down is the gym, it's like a little home gym, you cant have more than one person is there at a time it's that small but other than that it's a nice place to stay
