A good place to stay in Old Town. Staff is excellent. If I do want to nitpick, there could be more variety or different breakfast options and not the same stuff daily. Clothes hooks and mirror in toilets....small stuff like that. Not deal breakers, but useful.

Front office staff was very friendly. Special mention to the lady/girl upon check in however I was unable to get her name. Emmanuel at front desk was great. Great location, comfortable bed and room was very well equipped with the gadgets. A small suggestion that rooms could have flip flops.

We just returned from an amazing stay at the Adagio. Our room was large and comfortable. Having a microwave and refrigerator was so convenient and there is a Tesco 5 minutes away to pick up some quick eats when you aren't up for eating out. Our room was so quiet that I never heard activity in the hall, traffic/street noise, or other doors slamming shut. The daily breakfast was quite good and convenient. All of these amenities are great, but what really elevates this hotel are the people. We interacted with at least ten different employees, from the front desk (truly exceptional) to the dining staff as well as housekeeping. They were all so kind, friendly and helpful. Whoever is managing this location should be commended because there seems to be a true hospitality focused mindset which EVERY hotel should strive for. The Adagio Aparthotel nails it! Well done!! I hope to visit Edinburgh again and wouldn't look at any other property to stay in based on our recent stay.

The only reason why I did not give it a higher score is because my room was adjacent to the elevator. Early in the morning and late in the evening, quite noisy. First time I stayed I was not near the elevator.

Well located. I would have liked better bedding. The bed was broken. The sheets were rough. The pillows were lumpy.

The mattress was hard and most uncomfortable. Both my husband and I left Edinburgh with a sore back. The air conditioner was either too cold or too warm. We had to turn it off at times to get some peace and silence because its fan was too noisy. But then the fan came on, during the day and the middle of the night, despite the air conditioner being switched off. There was mould in the shower and the bathroom door needs replacement, it’s been badly water damaged and is unhealthy. For what we paid, from what I read on the hotel’s website and the reviews, my husband and I expected much better. The only positive thing about the hotel is its location.

I’m also sorry that you found the mattress uncomfortable and experienced difficulties with the air conditioning, particularly the noise and temperature fluctuations. Great location and room with all amenities provided. Cleaning is extra but we only stayed a long weekend so not required. Could have had replacement coffee/tea satchets to last duration given the cost.

Well located for the sites and transport around the area. Friendly and helpful staff. The apartment was well thought out and met our needs perfectly - space for my young niece to play & sleep late without us disturbing her. Small issues with maintenance e.g. existing water damage in the bathroom skirting & bath tap not staying up for the shower without first turning it on.
