No hot water and major works just next door started around 9am. My husband had left me in bed as I'd not had a day off for weeks. We had not booked breakfast as planned a lay in. No chance with the racket.

Dear Ms M., I regret that your recent stay did not meet your expectations. I understand the inconvenience caused by the construction noise and the lack of hot water, which disrupted your experience. However we had added notes to the website to advise on the H&S fire door replacement works which needed to be carried out for the safety of all our guests. Unfortunately we were not expecting a problem with our boilers which caused the lack of hot water for a short time. As a gesture of goodwill I can see that we deducted 20% from your total invoice for the inconvenience caused. Your concerns will be noted as we continue to improve our services. Lovely hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms. My only issue was that in the lobby, I saw another guest allow their dog to be on the sofas where other guests have to sit. Whilst I appreciate that it is a pet friendly hotel, I find that rather disgusting considering people sit in those seats. Dogs should remain seated on the floor, not the furniture.
