Stayed there a few times with the family, this time was solo for my son's graduation and it was excellent as ever. One thing, pillows were a bit hard but I was too tired to ask for alternatives and fell asleep anyway. Mentioned it at checkout, the lady at the desk said I should have just called down, so just a tip if anyone else has this issue. I'd booked the nearby Charles st car park (ask the hotel for discount code) but there seemed to be spaces available at the hotel. Great shower, separate toilet has always been handy when travelling with the family. Apparently some have had to book a space in the pool, this wasn't the case this time or before, but you do have to sign up for a gym card and bring it back after every visit. Friendly staff, there was a short power cut when I was there which was fixed quickly. No complaints, will be there again in a few days

The hotel is situated very nicely in the centre of Sheffield close to shops, restaurants and venues which is why we chose to stay ( 1 night). Sadly there were a number of problems with basic facilities. The sink in the bathroom was extremely slow to empty, there were no hooks to hang clothes etc on; the fridge didn’t work at all; the room felt cold but the room thermostat didn’t seem to work; the pillows were the lumpiest we have ever come across; the breakfast offered was adequate; staff were scarce and there was a constant low hum. Won’t be back.

The room was cold. I asked reception if the temperature was centrally controlled. This was confirmed. I asked reception to raise the temperature even by a couple of degrees. She said they couldn’t. I asked if maintenance could raise it. She said they couldn’t. This was disappointing.

We had an accessible room as my husband had just had a knee opp. Lovely bathroom but the water was only aired, I know because it being a ♿ room could not have very hot water, but please check the temperature.
