We were attending a family celebration at the hotel & they kindly allowed us an early check in so we could change. We found all the staff we encountered, without exception, cheerful & helpful. The function room was bright, comfortable and welcoming. The lunch was of good quality & was served so we were all eating at the same time. Our room was comfortable with good quality linens bath products & huge towels. Breakfast was also great. I think this is the best value hotel I have stayed in for a long time. This is now my first choice of hotel when I see family in Gloucester.

The staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel is in need of a refurbishment as some of the features are looking worn. This wouldn't stop me staying again as the staff were so good
