We had a Friday until Sunday stay at Bowden Hall. The hotel building is most attractive looking with plenty of parking. Reception staff were most efficient and welcoming. Room was spacious, clean, bed most comfortable. We had a special deal with our booking where we had dinner credit. The restaurant was lovely, staff were friendly and the food was excellent. We enjoyed a couple of scenic walks in the hotel grounds. All in all a great stay, our only slight criticism is this heat extractor unit outside or something like that was moreorless going all night which was a bit disturbing at times as quite loud.

Hotel was excellent but there was no lift and 4 floors. I think questions regarding any mobility problems customers might have. Breakfast was wonderful and dinner also although if you were staying More than 2 or 3 days the menu could be monotonous as it doesn’t seem to alter.

Sol on reception when we arrived couldn’t have done more for us. Isabel our waitress for our evening meals was lovely, efficient and extremely helpful. The bedroom we stayed in was comfortable and had everything we needed for a very happy stay. The hairdryer only works by holding the power button on continuously, which probably should be mentioned as we thought it wasn’t working but soon explained.

I was at the Bowden Hall Hotel for a sewing retreat. The room we were working in was very spacious but the lighting wasn’t too good. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The lounge area was great for relaxing after a long day. My room was good but the bed was too hard for me to get comfortable. All in all I enjoyed my stay and will be back next year.
