We stayed for two separate nights and found the hotel to be comfortable and the staff very welcoming. Just two notes of dissatisfaction ... firstly, the lack of a lift is a serious hindrance, although we understand to difficulties in an old 'heritage' building. Secondly, the bathrooms are very dated and in need of serious renovation. For example, there is no mixer tap for the hand basin ... the hot and cold taps are separate and the hot water is very hot indeed, with a risk of scalding!
