So disappointing! 4 days away. Been before 6 years ago and it was better. Poor room top floor. Too many stairs and no lift either! Evening meal appalling! Complained nothing happened. Had 2 weddings so on the Saturday morning dining room was overflowing and staff were all over the place. We never got to finish out breakfast. The cleaning staff were excellent! Generally hospitality is very poor sadly lacking in customer service skills no one listens.

We went to Bowden Hall through countryhotelbreaks. Everything as promised in the break was there on arrival at the hotel. The hotel was extremely well maintained. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely and looked over the extensive grounds. We ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel and really enjoyed both. The food was well cooked, fresh and very appetising. The hotel was well appointed with several places to visit within easy reach. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.

Lovely historic house but needs some TLC

Impressive building but sad to see it looks neglected, especially on the outside. Needs a paint and tidy up. Scruffy outside seating area, pots and planters just weeds and wooden boards just left against the wall. Even the pods look a bit tatty. Apart from this the staff were very friendly and food was good.

All Credit to Reception Manager , who went above and beyond call of duty to get me a dedicated Shower room, rather one above a bath, Restaurant manager needs training, watched him flap around the Dining room without purpose. We entered 7.50pm and received our main dish after 9.15pm and watched three other couples receive theirs who arrived after us, When my Gammon came the egg was dried out, and the meat was like cardboard obviously been in Hot plate a long time completely dried out and unedible. I appreciate i was not charged for it and did not eat it, but wrangled as the afore mentioned persons also ordered Gammon, no explanation came why I was left to ,last dish from the pass.??????
