The staff were very welcoming, organised and attentive. The venue was very well presented, it was a lovely Christmassy atmosphere. The food was very good and decent portions. I received lot of very good feedback from all who attended, hope to come again next year.

We had a lovely afternoon tea celebrating a birthday in one of the pods. Lovely selection and nothing was too much trouble. The birthday cheesecake that was presented was a great touch! The staff and service were great however on arrival into the pod, the floor was covered in crumbs and debris from the previous occupants and the table runner was badly stained. Attention to detail needs to be improved especially when it comes to cleanliness as sadly this was very sloppy on this occasion.

The hotel was lovely and staff were very friendly. Some signage is required on the stairs from the 4th floor going down to reception. It's very unclear where to go. Otherwise great thank you

On what I think is considered one of the busiest evenings leading to Christmas we had a great evening in one of the pods. There were a few Christmas parties going on in the hotel so it was an incredibly busy evening for the staff. From the start the lady on reception made me feel welcome and showed me to the bar to wait for the others to arrive. We were show to the pod which looked so pretty and Christmasy with lights etc. We arrived at 8.30pm and left around 11pm. It was perfect to have that space to chat and giggle privately. Our server Joseph was faultless - so refreshing we couldn’t believe it. We all have kids his age. Nothing was too much trouble which was just the best. He really is a credit to you at Bowden Hall. Thank you 😊

Nice but a bit tired in places

Staff were lovely and always helpful. Food was good and plentiful, filling breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean, however was tired and needed freshening up (threadbare carpets in places, no fridge and the bathroom required updating as did the dining area). It's a nice place and we've stayed in worse but we've also stopped in a lot better for the price
