Hello, the AC installed in all rooms had one problem and it won't turn on the cold mode, there's only hot mode which was working. Hence, it was very very hot at night and everyone in all rooms were sweating.

We had a great experience overall. Clean modern room, good shower, everything as expected. Really good overall. It’s not your fault but the general colour scheme decor downstairs and corridors, is a bit dated and funky, institutional, albeit clean and tidy, but as soon as you get in the room it’s much more modern. Was a bit of a relief tbh! The check in area really could use modernising since first impression wasn’t 100%, or a fair representation of what you are offering. Was more like walking into a nhs staff canteen with an afterthought hospital check in desk to one side.

We booked a stay with ibis due to price, location etc. one key feature that informed our decision to book, was that the website advertised Travel Cots were available via Reception. As we were travelling with a 6 month old baby, this was quite an important detail. We stated the child’s age clearly on the booking. When we arrived in reception we were told that the hotel no longer offered travel cots due to one previously malfunctioning with a child inside. We had booked 4 nights, and the booking was stated non-refundable. We had to go to a nearby supermarket and pay £30 to buy one in order to stay, as the room only featured a small double bed and an overhead single bunk. On the first night due to the time we had to lay the baby on the bunk mattress on the floor. There were some dirt marks on the walls and skirting boards also. Generally speaking, place was fine other than the issue with the cot, but that was a major issue and did cost us unforeseen money.

A small but perfectly adequate room at a great price. The location was perfect for my needs and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of different choices. Well recommended.

I needed a place near Newport for one night, just to take a quick shower and sleep. this budget option was very much it- minimalistic room but spacious enough, clean and quiet. I did arrive late and leave early so cannot say much more, but the ability to park, get my room card at 23:00, sleep well and leave without a hassle was perfect.
