Dear John, Guest feedback is important to us, and we appreciate you sharing your impressions of your time at our hotel. Regarding the lift, you are correct that we had been advised it would be repaired by Tuesday. Unfortunately, when the lift engineers attended, they discovered that the replacement part that had been ordered was incorrect. As a result, they were unable to complete the repair and had to reorder the correct part. We appreciate that this was frustrating, particularly as the lift remained out of service throughout your stay, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. With regard to breakfast, our standard procedure is to ask all guests for their room number before they enter the breakfast area. On some occasions, our team may already know returning guests and therefore may not need to ask them again. We are sorry if this made you feel singled out, as this was certainly not our intention. We value your feedback as it helps us identify areas where we can improve both our communication and guest experience. Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention.
