We enjoyed our time in ibis brighton. It was clean and I felt quite safe. The best part was the staff who looked after us being polite, friendly and caring. The breakfast was great although I would suggest to add some healthier options such as fresh fruit. That would be great to have microwave for clients as sometimes especially with children it might be very helpful.

Room was clean and fine as was the rest of the hotel..breakfast was not so good .. both mornings we were asked what we wanted and staff got it wrong each time..we understand current climate and things are being done differently so wouldn't be a problem under normal buffet breakfast times

Since we booked in we were feel like home the receptionist an hungarian pregnant girl was really friendly kind and helpful she understood our needs, made my anniversary outstanding and made happy my little daughter too. The staff was following all the covid directive and I want to mention also the italian waitress (Valentina I think) she was very professional and kind with my family and gave us a complimentary pastries for my little one. Very nice trip I really recommend this hotel

Arrived very late because of traffic but phoned ahead and was reassured this was not going to be a problem. Lovely staff. Room was clean. Not too noisy. Parking nearby in RCP was expensive £22 for overnight on a Sunday (for about 8 hours) but at least they had spaces.

Overall it was good, very helpful staff. But terrible breakfast. Only white toast, horrible vegan sausage roll, no marmalade, only one cereal (cornflakes), no fruit. I asked about this at the counter and was told that it was hard to get food suppliers. But just very near the hotel are 3 supermarkets where lots of nice breakfast ingredients could be bought.

Rooms spotless rooms with air con and free WiFi and comfortable bed! really relaxed atmosphere very pleasant and professional front desk staff , location wise close to rail station , and 2 big car parks . Love the check in online before 12 on the day and the pay for late check out ! Thank you

As I said above we have a great time, I have stayed in Grander hotels but the staff in the Ibis are excellent! Nothing was a bother, from check in to check out. The hotel was very clean, as it was a special birthday I requested a quiet room not only was it quiet but had a great view as well.

A really good visit. Every member of staff was friendly, efficient and polite. The breakfast team and housekeeping were great. The building operated safely in the current guidelines. 10 out of 10.

Poor value for money

We booked the last room available as our train was cancelled very late at night. This turned out to be an accessible room, so I accept that our options were limited. Nevertheless, for the price, the room offered exceptionally poor value for money, and was the kind of no-frills offering I would expect for a room half its price. Window view was of an internal corridor. Shower fixtures were broken (but functional). Very little in the way of comforts or extras - not even a soft chair. Fine for a very brief overnight stay but the price was galling. If we weren't desperate for a room we certainly would not have stayed here and Ibis certainly benefitted from our compromised situation.

Hotel clean, staff v friendly... however breakfast a complete farce, not enough staff we stayed 4 nights my family all got breakfast at different times mine some 45 mins after they had eaten, we filled in breakfast form daily but every food order every day was wrong sorry bacon not ready yet, no milk for cereals no spoon to eat with my son only wanted a sausage and bacon he got an egg and a hash brown!! No sausage or bacon. We booked 2 rooms both rooms had no toilet paper no one in reception so had to take it from the downstairs toilet! You need more staff

The hotel is in a good location but is very basic indeed. Unfortunately the changes that have been made because of covid have only made this worse. The breakfast is not good at all and is terrible value compared with what else is available locally and the service within the hotel is now pretty poor - no maid service unless specifically requested and even when I requested more toilet roll etc I was told I needed to collect it from the front desk!!! Didn't make me want to return to this hotel.

Had a nice couple of days and good to get back to fabulous Brighton. Hotel is in a great location right next to the train station and close to the Lanes for me the heart of Brighton. Staff are lovely so polite and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Hotel is also spotlessly clean, we will stay here next time we visit.

Paid for early check in which meant we could check in from 9am, arrived at 11.30am and room wasn't ready. Eventually was given keys and in the bathroom of our room found a pair of dirty knickers... staff were good, came and removed them and offered to change our room but we were next door to my parents so didn't want to move, apart from that the room was clean so it was fine but then came bedtime, mattress was terrible and thin, the double bed was 2 singles pushed together that kept moving apart which resulted in my husband falling through, the duvet was also nothing but a sheet. We had 2 terrible nights sleep. Then it came to breakfast, we had to order what we would like the night before and then either hope for a table or have to take it back to our room, food was terrible, fried eggs that were runny but left for so long they had a skin on them, cold hash browns, one slice of warm bread was apparently toast. Would not stay here again

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Cleanliness was excellent. The location was great for getting around via train,bus or on foot. A cooked English breakfast would have been a nice option on the menu but other than that it was great and we will definately stay again
