It is well located and staff are helpful and friendly. However, the wifi signal was poor and the TV and my phone signal keep on disconnected when we were watching Winter Olympics programs. A lamp in our room was not working but it did not affect us much.

I always stay at the Ibis when I visit the family and I am generally pleased with the experience. Close to the station and minutes from the main shopping area. This last stay however I noticed the hotel looking a bit tired. The towels need replacing they’re very thin. The duvet under the cover had a few small stains on it. However the breakfast is good and varied and the reception staff are pleasant and helpful.

Arrival was warm and friendly, walking into an inviting relaxed atmosphere. Accor booking systems have had problems Worldwide in recent weeks, off line or errors found by hotels and guests. I suddenly found my booking was same dates, wrong month, and just about to leave London on train. I quickly made a new booking, emailed the hotel to explain. I was all geared up for losing costs of one booking, lots of discussions, and difficulties, as most hotels would be. When I arrived, the GM and team here had simply fixed everything! I had not lost any costs or my Accor points, as a Platinum member. Truly, this was unexpected. They had gone beyond, chosen to help out. Many hotels, even in Accor brands with a loyalty scheme, simply would have not accepted it was their problem. A huge Thanks to The whole Team. Rooms here are generous in size, though I believe different floors have a few varying versions. They had kindly allocated a top floor room, nice view over the Town left glimpse towards the sea. It was v quiet and peaceful. A welcome personalised note with first name and yr All-Accor status on. Some welcome snacks, good quality brands, and a bottle of sparkling water. This showed more effort, and greater cost to the hotel, just one example of going an extra step by The Team here. Stylish presentation in the room, v clean all in working order. Nice warm feeling with the wood flooring. Comfortable bed, I prefer soft, many Ibis have poor mattress and cheap pillows. A large wide tv wall mounted, the usual shelving and seemed plenty of space to put my belongings. A large bathroom, open walk in shower, toilet, basin, added to the feeling of 2 rooms, much more space. Not the plastic climb into units in many older Ibis have, that are noisy, creak, and you can hear rooms around you using too! Housekeeping over ny stay, do a great job, and they were very friendly. I bumped into the Housekeeping senior and thanked her for all the efforts made. She seemed to know which room i was in, so again an extra effort she made. She seemed to value this too, which is great to convey, not just grumble when something is not right, I feel guests need to do this more! Change of the bed only if you leave the sign on the bed. So again showing efforts to be environmentally helpful, but at the guests wish. A basic kettle usual tea coffee, but recycled wooden spoons. 2 mugs and 2 glasses. You have a sturdy wooden door sign - sleeping / do not disturb, other side pls Clean. Also, " skip the clean" which gives Accor member 100 points per day! All efforts offered to be a "care for the environment" guest too, which we can all choose. There is a Laundry & Dry cleaning bag, not ever seen this option in an Ibis, again an extra comfort for the guest. A Printed menu of really good quality v healthy foods, fairly priced, vegetarian and vegan options. I am fed up on scanning Apps, time consuming tv food order systems even just to look, that are slow, annoying, lack specific requests ability! Great to see a simple printed menu, I can see I total and decide in a minute. There is a WhatsApp to message the team to order food (add any requests like ice, or discuss options) always answered quickly too. They are excellent quality and tasteful chill - cook items, but an extra thought and effort to put together, starters, mains, snacks, desserts Unusual dishes, flavours, healthy appealing, fairly priced. You can go down to collect, bring to your room, which is a cosy touch if you staying alone, eat and watch TV force put your feet up style. The cafe style downstairs with a bar, has plenty seats to eat with others if you wish. Breakfast was excellent, in the quality and choices, organic, and food items that are hot, really were hot for once! Again, after a recent long trip in Asia, I got fed up of cooked breakfasts that have sat for hours, and were not even warm. There are regulations on food temperatures for such food, which must be served at 63c or above. Most hotels in all star grades, don't check with thermometers, or in person of how the food looks but that it is Hot! It can make guests ill, but is just a very basic food, health and hygiene requirement., and it is important! They do achieve this at Ibis Brighton. The organic cheddar cheese was great, 3 cheese choices, quality cut meats, yoghurt and Berry fruits mix look great, to add as you wish, alongside almond milk, gluten free items. My only disappointment was the use of processed packet style bread slices, + a little baguette. Simple fresh baked small rolls would top off the presentation and texture of the foods, and smell of these add to the room. As everyone has bread, especially for a Continental style . They also have 2 hot drinks machines one that is entirely using Oat Milk! All the coffee options, a great hot chocolate, Oat milk on its own also. I have never seen this at any hotel in Europe let alone the UK. Again, much consideration has been put into the quality, choice and really healthy options for breakfast. The days most nutritionally important meal, is excellent here. It was v busy and full with many mostly guests over from Europe So the time you go is better early or later. Making a booking including breakfast is advisable, as walk-in is £16, pre- buy the eve before is £13. I have spent time here to detail where the Ibis team here, go to extra efforts, premium quality, great service. Clearly there is great thoughtful Management here, including Team Leaders and willing Teams. This is really another level of an Ibis deserving it's own "Plus" options and extra efforts made. The Team people are what make a difference here, and innovative thoughtful ideas, quality and being helpful. A huge Thanks, and congratulations to everyone. I even extended my stay by an extra 9 nights! Excellent place to stay for access at the top of the town, especially if you arrive by train with luggage, 2 mins walk. The famous small winding cafes and boutique shops are also nearby, so it's one of the best locations to br This matters in v cold damp winter weather especially like now. I fully recommend Ibis Brighton , an exceptional experience, a leader in its Accor brand. L
