I stayed for one night - a Saturday in August. The hotel was easy to find, close to the station, and as a solo female traveller the level of security at check in was reassuring (checking ID, room number written down and not said out loud). The room was basic but comfortable - the bathroom was a reasonable size with enough towels and soap/shower gel. I had one small issue with something that housekeeping had missed, which reception fixed for me immediately. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. However, this was not a quiet location - right in the centre of Brighton, at night there was noise from people outside (as should be expected due to the location). It was not necessary to have the window open as the room has air conditioning, but I could still hear people in the street as I was on the ground floor. In the morning there was a lot of noise from other guests talking loudly and playing music/tv at 7am on a Sunday - as the hotel is convenient for the station I assume people had early trains and no thought for other guests. Noise does travel in this hotel. I would stay here again as the location was convenient and the staff were great, but probably with ear plugs! (I did not eat at the hotel.)
