Attending an event a Salisbury and needed a hotel. I am a ALL Silver member and we have stayed in the White Hart before. Sadly, welcome at check-in was perfunctory. We were not informed about breakfast arrangements and had to ask for our Welcome Drink voucher. Our Privilege Room was recently (and very nicely) decorated but was in a 1960s wing of the hotel and very cold. We asked how to heat the room and were told to turn the valve on the old-style radiator. This did the job, at least initially, but the room remained colder than we would have liked throughout the duration of our stay. Bathroom good (if small), but water pressure in shower minimal. Breakfast was adequate, but sadly nothing special. Overall, our stay was fine. Just fine, no more. I am sorry that I cannot be more enthusiastic, as the hotel is in a beautiful, historical building close to the cathedral and the centre of the city. Looking after this classic building can’t be either easy or cheap, so the hotel operators have my understanding. Several office Christmas parties were taking place in the hotel during our short stay (bringing in, I am sure, much needed revenue) so again it is understandable if staff members were temporarily distracted.

Room 216 was very comfortable, priviledge room worth the money, appreciated complimentary mini bar, ironing board and iron. Shower hot and functional. Room was clean and warm. Continental breakfast had good choice. Hotel has car park but spaces cannot be reserved so its a lottery if there will be room for you. Hotel should consider parking reservation for those staying overnight as part of the reservation process.

Very pleasant stay in this old style hotel - very clean, large well equipped bedroom. Warm heaters in room and opening windows for fresh air. Very little traffic noise. Very clean bathroom, however the water pressure in the shower was poor. Staff very friendly and helpful.
