AVOID - Crooked Hotel

This hotel is run by crooks! Due to an issue with their parking we were only charged £5. The receptionist said not to worry as this sometimes happens and that it would be okay. Then we receive 2 parking fines! Hotel washed their hands of any responsibility and were no help what so ever. Happy to take my money but don't give a damn about the customer.

Central location, clean, very good beds but the breakfast is disgusting, the same food every day which is always cold and slimy!

I was a bit disappointed about how the hotel being a Novotel, had these simple but very annoying issues. I stayed for Two nights and I ran into several problems. I was supposed to have a queen size bed in my room, but when we went to sleep, I found out the top mattress was made of two smaller mattresses that made you sink in the middle of the bed when you were moving. It was very uncomfortable, also when I went to take a shower I found the shower gel bottle empty. I was not happy as this was a very essential and simple thing to be done right, yet it was not done. Later I had to ask for a room move as I needed to stay for another night. When I got my new room I thought it was going to be a regular night without any issues. Oh I was wrong, the shower gel bottle was empty again, one desk light was blinking non stop I just had to turn it off, one of the bed lights wasn’t even working, and to make things worse, the fire door next to my room in the corridor, was slamming so hard every time it was being opened and closed causing a banging noise that was waking you up. I usually don’t like to complain, but all this little issues I encounter, showed me that things are not being done properly and with care around the hotel. Not enough attention is being paid to simple things that really can make your stay very unpleasant. As an employee of Accord, I thought I should bring this details to your attention. I’m very proud to work for our company, and I feel there’s always room for improvement and to make our guest stays much enjoyable. If simple things are being done right they can create a great impression on the whole team. Cesar F..
