it was a birthday treat weekend break and we booked a room with a view overlooking the shard! staff also make my birthday special as they put a light board with Happy Birthday in the room for us when we arrived. The location was really central, would definitely stay here again.

Good value and location

This IBIS hotel was pretty good value for London given its location, excellent for this fab part of London. The showbiz theme was quite fun and the reception area a good place to hang out. There was a fairly good menu - Novotel next door if you want even more choice. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good with a well-thought out choice of food. One staff member on duty was working very hard. Anyway, most enjoyable.

Really nice stay and superior service from electrician

I had a plug that wasn't working in the bathroom. Rachid the electrician came, fixed it, and we had a really nice conversation (I have an electrician background). It was nice to talk to somebody competent, friendly, and really contributed to making my stay a very nice one. Please thank him for me again.

Great location . Very comfortable stay

I had a lovely stay. I had to work from the room the entire week and it was a very comfortable room for me to do that. Loved the location - so close to everything I needed and the staff were friendly.

Clean and comfy

Rooms are lovely. Downstairs a bit odd in terms of orientation, I wandered around the 'restaurant' part before figuring out you order food in the main reception area. Also, didn't find the kettle and tea - hidden in the wardrobe - until it was time to go.

Shower so tiny it was impossible to close the shower door when inside. No plug sockets near any mirrors No enough staff or way of contacting them in reception to get a drink or check out/ ask for help. But helpful when found Bed was comfortable

Nice Quirky Hotel is Quiet Area

Had a very nice 2 night weekend stay in February. Hotel is situated just across Southwark Bridge and in a very quiet area but also very close to Borough Market and other attractions. Great location all round. Rooms were nice and clean and everything in the hotel was decorated with a move / stage theme giving it a unique feel. Slight problem with our shower plug being blocked and not draining water properly. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good but was only continental with no Full English on offer which was a little surprising as I have stayed at other Ibis Hotels and they have offered this
