No soap (just body wash), no wash cloths A. no way to control heat. The room was too hot for us so we called 5he desk when we could not lower thermostat. They said it was set centrally at 24 1/2 C A. we should open a window. When we did that, the noise from our Southwark Bridge facing room was intolerable. There is no brewed coffee in room- only powdered coffee to mix with boing water. Breakfast was nice but would have loved fresh bananas. The coffee machines are fantastic, A. you can choose cappachino, flat white, latte, reg coffee or Americano A. there was an assortment of dairy A. non daily milk choices. We wished those amazing coffee machines were accessible 24 hours! Free popcorn in lobby from 12:00-18:00 was a nice touch, but we wished it was available all day. We were told we were due a welcome drink, so we ordered one, but they then charged us because we booked through Hotels.com A. they said we were not due one, after we ordered! Cleaning staff was amazing, but front desk staff seemed stern A. unfriendly. There are no phones in the room A. we were not told upon checkin that we could scan a QR code from our key, so we had to pay for international phone service to call the front desk when we were too hot to sleep since we both were already in our pajamas A. could not run down to the desk in person. But I still like this hotel very much. Next time I will stay next door at the sister hotel Novotel, because they have on-premises work out room A. 24 hour coffee access. I was able to use that workout room while staying at the Ibis. If coffee A. working our are not big issues for you, I am sure the IBIS will be pleasing A. it is a great value at this low price point.

As explained by our team, the hotel operates with a centralised air cooling system, which can limit individual temperature control during certain periods. We understand that opening the window was not a comfortable solution due to street noise, A. we apologise for the inconvenience this caused. Regarding in-room amenities, we would like to clarify that in our Executive Rooms we offer a coffee machine as well as a kettle, which may be something to consider for future stays, especially for guests who are true coffee lovers. Thank you as well for your comments about bathroom amenities A. breakfast fruit selection, these are helpful points we will review internally. We sincerely apologise for the confusion surrounding the welcome drink. Please allow us to clarify that ALL – Accor Live Limitless benefits, including welcome drinks, are reserved for members who book directly through Accor channels. We regret that this was not clearly communicated before the order was placed. We are also sorry to hear that the front desk interaction felt stern A. that the QR-code calling system was not clearly explained at check-in. This is valuable feedback, A. we will reinforce communication A. service approach with our team to ensure a warmer A. clearer guest experience. The team were really friendly and helpful. The reception area is quirky but welcoming and perfect for a drink and catch up at the end of the evening. The room were spotless, beds comfy and pillows just perfect! Breakfast was really tasty, loads to choose from and a great start to the day. A short walk from Borough Market, the embankment and a great base for our short stay. Would definitely return.
