Had trouble with your door cards and had to wait around and eventually had to move room which caused us to be late for a meeting. Your staff were quite good though.

Given key card to two rooms which were both occupied. When we tried the key card in the first room there was people inside who shouted out to us. Went to reception and given a second room where I accessed the room with my two daughters and walked in on a man asleep in bed. We were told at reception that there must be an error with the system. We were concerned that other guests may be given a key card to our room and we’re unable to leave our belongings in it while we were out. The room was clean but we had dirty toilet rolls. We politely asked a member of the housekeeping team for a clean toilet roll, which she gave us after pulling a face and rolling her eyes; she wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all. We had a very poor nights sleep because the room was so hot and the air conditioning wasn’t working. The only positive aspect of our stay and saving grace was the very friendly and helpful receptionist.

Well located, tiny room, noisy at night

Upon arrival I was told my booking had been cancelled even though I hadn’t cancelled it and was still charged out of courtesy myself and friends were set up with a new room and given free parking which was a lovely good will gesture. The 3 of us were only provided with one bath towel and 1 hair towel. The shower door must have been put on backwards because from the outside you could see whoever was showering as clear as day but from inside the shower you couldn’t see anyone on the outside. From 2am onwards we were all woken up to a lot of shouting and someone running up and down the corridor constantly. The rooms aren’t very sound proof that’s for sure. We were also woken up again a few hours later by someone constantly banging on a door to be let in.

Best night sleep we've had it ages! Comfortable beds,room basic but clean, shower great, staff extremely friendly and helpful. For £39, you couldn't really ask for more!

So it isn’t the most beautiful hotel in the world but I was pleased upon entering the car park, that it was secure. Going in to reception we were able to get our key to the room quickly. The area was clean, as was the lift which had hand sanitiser available. The corridors were also clean. We went into our room and were pleasantly surprised. It was warm, quiet (despite the road close by) and clean. For a basic room I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I was in the city again. Thanks!

Toilet wasn't powerful enough to flush! Needed to fill the bin with water from the shower to flush it with. Parking too expensive. Lift sometimes didn't work from the 5th floor. That plastic stool it pathetic and impossible to do work from, just put chairs in there Jesus. Awful, uncomfortable and annoying stay, I wish I slept in my car

A taxi driver dropping guests off was beaten up outside the front door from the hotel covered in blood and no staff where interested in helping. Then they checked in the two people into the hotel that beat him up. Absolutely shocking and felt very unsafe. Had to call police and ambulance for the poor taxi driver who couldn’t get off the floor due to injuries. Obviously a rough area which wasn’t on the website. Paint peeling off walls in bedroom. When I booked I didn’t realise the toilet is in a cupboard and there was bits of fecies on the wall. Shower was in the bedroom so not very private.

Whilst the booking experience was simple, I can’t say I was overly pleased with my stay. The staff were, however, were friendly. Attending a concert at the O2 Academy Birmingham, made this hotel a perfect place to reside to afterwards, with just a short walk from the venue to hotel. The room wasn’t up to my level of cleanliness, considering the current times we live in. Generally the place seemed clean, but looking closely it was apparent there was more that could be done. There appeared to be urine on the wall of the toilet; an ‘interesting’ smell emerging from the shower drain, and with some (what only can be described as) snot rubbed on the walls around the room. The lights in the room persisted to, as if by magic, switch back on after several minutes of me turning them off using the switches above the bed, throughout the night. Resulting in a bright, sleepless night. Whilst I understand it’s impossible to control the behaviour of guests; people were running back and forth rooms and shouting at all ours of the night. Even if the lights did remain switched off, this most definitely would have disturbed my sleep; baring in mind this was a Wednesday night, it wouldn’t be suitable for someone with work the next day. Furthermore, the overwhelming smell of cigarettes which increased throughout the night (as a non smoker) made it hard to breathe, resulting in the window having to be opened. The strong smell in the corridor was difficult to tolerate upon leaving the hotel. Overall I was displeased with my stay, and quite frankly was glad it was only for one night.

Dirty, smelly and loud

Arrival and check in, very smooth and effective, issues only really started as soon as I got in the lift. Floors were all extremely dirty with litter all over. Immediately got into the room which stank of cigarettes, it was clear the previous person had been smoking in the room from the Ash on the windowsill. The floors were dirty and the bed was 'made' as if by a school child at a youth hostel. The sink was filthy and had to be cleaned before I used it. Other patrons were extremely loud baking on all of the doors and threatening to kick them in if not let in. On the upside the shower was quite good, and unlike the rest of the room was clean. I am thankful that I was only there very briefly to 'sleep'

Overpriced for a budget hotel and for what u get in the room. Paid for breakfast and it was appalling, nothing there just drinks, ended up going elsewhere to eat. Bed was standard and not very comfortable. Only good thing was that the room was clean

Nice, but basic. First night I had to move to another room, because my light turned on automatically every few minutes. That was quite annoying, but for the rest I've enjoyed my stay. I missed fresh buns and eggs in the morning though.
