Lovely hotel, excellent location, superb breakfast. Hotel room was great, only downfall rooms are still noy being serviced, you have to collect teabags, milk, towels, toilet rolls, toiletries from reception.

We enjoyed our stay very much - the staff were very friendly - food was very nice- we felt safe at all times- room was good but the towel rail was missing the drinks tray was very dusty and the coffee tea water were not replenished daily.

The people were super, great welcome & very attentive, if a little limited in number (no chef until mid afternoon so limited room service). The renovations are beautiful & the ballroom was a delight so don't judge the inside on the outside which does look tired. Room in the bedroom leaked so carpet & curtains got very wet, but the weather was very rough so not a normal situation, I'm sure. All very clean & tidy apart from that.

After checking into our room it quickly became apparent that there was a leak in the bathroom. Water was coming in through the window as it was raining outside. We're given towels to soak up the water and told there was not a lot else they could do as it was a known problem. The bathroom smelt damp the whole stay. Not offered another room. Not what you expect from a mercure hotel. Premium room supposed to come with slippers and robes, but neither provided. One robe later was given. Breakfast in the room came incomplete as well, although corrected. Disappointing stay overall. Would recommend staying there when it's not raining!

Room was comfortable but very little storage for clothes. We had a large sideboard but the other room only had a small hanging space. Sash window cord was broken so window didn't shut properly on a very windy weekend. Radiator didn't work in second room. Breakfast and dinner were good and staff friendly and welcoming.

We stayed in the mews for two nights the bed was very comfortable and it was peaceful. A little disappointed with the breakfast as there was no menu but I feel this may be down to COVID. It would have been nice to see the selection of hot food you offer.

Lovely hotel on the seafront. Parking is expensive but very convenient, there isa car park at the front and back of the hotel. Beautiful, colourful decor in the lounge and bar. Friendly staff. We had a Seaview privilege room which was perfect. The only thing I would change is to make the bathroom slightly bigger. It was clean, warm and comfortable. Accessible lifts. There was noise from the road but it did not disturb us at night. We had dinner, bed and breakfast. All the food was great. Really good value package. We would definitely stay again and recommend the hotel.

Lovely decor in main hotel but underwhelming stay..

The decor of the main hotel flattered to deceive. Our room was in the mews area, the corridors were tired and worn. Our room was nice, brightly furnished but we had no tea or coffee in the room despite the crockery and espresso machine. Breakfast was mediocre, pre-cooked some of the staff were poorly dressed, dirty worn clothes. Improvement badly needed for us to return..Parking charge £25/day was extortion and we were on a motorcycle!!!

Good points the location is excellent and the room comfortable. The reception manager kindly upgraded me to a bigger room, which I appreciated and the breakfast was good, the staff were polite and friendly. Bad points, there was no hot water in the evening or morning in my bathroom and the fire door outside in the corridor banged every time somebody passed, because the closer was not working, which made for a disturbed night.
