Booked through secret escapes Very Disappointed. We were offered a bigger room 164 which is in the mews part of the hotel Which is a long way from reception and the corridors etc more like a 2 star. Was told it had a disabled Shower but was better and bigger than a privilege room. Well the bed was very big and comfortable that's the only positive. Shower water pressure was virtually non existent. There was a strange musky smell in the room at night traced it to the curtains don't think they have ever been cleaned. No storage 3 coat hangers Breakfast was very poor went down at 9.30 no fresh milk on display No eggs had to wait 10 minutes No sausages another 10 minute wait No black pudding at all. Bacon cold and barely cooked When you walk into hotel you see 4 star but all downhill after that

room was a single ( rare these days) even despite that it was small, difficult to manoeuvre about and too hot The window not opening fully. It did have a fan, but not what I would expect from ant hotel these days.

Deceptive photos make room look bigger.

Very deceptive photos make the rooms look larger and cutting the photo where a wall was right at the end of the bed. I got charged over £200 for one of the nights of my stay which is ridiculous considering how small it was. I asked about my room and was told that the staff are aware of the deceptive photos..

We were made to feel very welcome by Barry when we first arrived. This really sets the tone for the stay & we immediately felt we had made a great choice with the hotel. All the staff were very helpful and even during breakfast staff were very efficient and friendly. Hotel is in a great location, rooms were clean and all was fantastic. Thank you.
